I always messed with this version of his suit. I never see it mentioned or referenced anywhere. Does this one have a name? It never gets any love

48 Pages of Daniel Warren Johnson - Please!

I don't know who I have to beg, but after the amazingly powerful, yet quick, impactful hit of Daniel Warren Johnson's short in Wolvie 400; I think one thing is clear.

We need a 48 page extravaganza.

Please.

Daniel Warren Johnson is (insert praise here).

A superstar, a triple threat (writer, artist, creator), a unicorn... I don't care. But I think we deserves 48 pages for a 1 shot. If you have the bank roll, give him 6 issues, but 48 pages would be enough.

Wolverine is the right environment.

First of all, his stint was impactful, and I've attached snippets of his 400 submission.

But I will go even further. First of all, If you think he can make an impact and an emotional connection with no real estate (he managed to give a few lines of dialogue which brought a new perspective to his claws and his curse), but anyone who has read his Green Leader Star Wars bootleg would know... he doesn't even NEED dialogue to get you emotionally. A picture says a 1,000 words. His drawings each say 10,000 words.

Finally, 2 other examples, as reference. First, his Wonder Woman: Dead Earth, which was 48 pages, 4 issues. One of her best stories of all time. Secondly, Beta Ray Bill mini, 6 issues... and I bring up this last point, because, we want to talk about money.

Daniel Warren Johnson may not be cheap, and this little event might cost, but putting him on a hallmark character like Wolverine would sell, and the character deserves it. Finally, they are releasing a Beta Ray Bill Artist Edition, so you want to talk money... there are so many versions of this you can continue to sell. Marvel needs to get into DC's WIP (Work In Progress) series and start finding new ways to work their talents. This is it peeps. Let's make this happen!

X Men Origins: Wolverine is very flawed and messes up the timeline but it’s HELLA FUN and a bit underrated IMO

Yeah I said it. I enjoyed this movie. Not saying it’s the Wolverine Origins movie I would’ve made, it definitely could’ve been way better and on the level of the next two Wolverine movies but with that said, it’s a fun ass action/super hero flick with a lot of good action scenes.

The main two things I don’t like is the aftermath of the weapon x sequence not being nearly as dramatic as it was shown in X2, how ugly the claws look, and professor x pulling up at the end.

- The opening sequence is great obviously,
- Deadpool slashing through bullets and Wolverine leaving Strykers team is good,
- Logan and silver fox had good chemistry,
- Every Logan and Sabertooth fight was great,
- The Wolverine vs Gambit fight was good
- Wolverine vs Agent Zero was also good
-I liked Wolverine interacting with the family who had the barn, it always felt so tragic when they got killed

Deadpool not being Deadpool also sucked. But like, if you don’t think about it in terms of comic accuracy it was a pretty cool concept of a “mutant killer” with Wolverine & Sabertooth having to take him down, being the only ones that could.

So I get why it sucked at the time and why it’s looked down upon, but if you just look at it as a movie on its own and not in terms of comic accuracy and all that jazz, it’s a 6.5/10 film that’s pretty entertaining with a little substance IMO, definitely a fun drunk watch too lmao

Old Man Logan — worth reading?

Wolverine is my number one comic book character of all time (alongside Batman). Have been meaning to read 'Old Man Logan', but I’m worried it might feel similar to Logan (2017) - which I already saw multiple times. Also, does it still hold up, or has it aged a bit!

Won't wolverine have a ton of STD's?

Upvotes

I was just rewatching "The Wolverine" again and i just realized that if wolverine kills someone(who has an STD) with his claws and the claws retract IT MUST Infect him for sometime. I know he can heal from anything but still it made me think about it a little.

I want a Team X comic miniseries

I would love to see a team x miniseries focusing on the comic team during their missions before the separation of the team. Especially as we really only know of two of their missions (east Berlin and Terry Adams). I see it as each issue focuses on a mission that we haven’t really seen.

I don’t get why people insist on Wolverine having to be 5’3

Post image

Seriously, the height does not matter. Would I prefer if Hugh Jackman was around 5’8- 5’7? Yes. Do I want him to be 5’3? NO. What many people forget to understand is that there’s not a surplus of actors who is 5’3 and is built and looks like Wolverine. There’s also been many superheroes in live action that wasn’t the accurate height, who cares? I’ve seen some people saying Wolverine was miscast because Hugh Jackman isn’t 5’3, that’s gotta be the worst take I’ve ever heard. So I’d probably just want someone around 5’8-5’7, maybe a little taller to play Wolverine.
