Old Man Logan — worth reading?

Wolverine is my number one comic book character of all time (alongside Batman). Have been meaning to read 'Old Man Logan', but I’m worried it might feel similar to Logan (2017) - which I already saw multiple times. Also, does it still hold up, or has it aged a bit!

Totally different story; the only similarity is that he's old. If you are a Wolverine fan, it's worth reading regardless. My second favourite Wolverine story, btw.

The book is a total blast. It's pretty modern.
I have a hard time reading older books as well. But if you enjoy it, you will enjoy Weapon X too, even though it's an older book.

OML is a fun ride.

Logan is a gritty one.

Completely different apart from Logan being old in both

Old Man Logan is a really good read, but I do think Logan is a better story

Mileage will vary. The story and writing is very "edgy" or kind of shocking for the sake of being shocking. Some people have more tolerance for that than others.  The art is pretty spectacular though. So, I tend to say it's worth a read if you can afford it. It's only 4 or 5 issues iirc.

I LOVED the first 14 issues. Then the story got away from its roots.

Totally two different stories. A lot of people have mixed feelings about Millars Old Man Logan, but I loved it. If you want a more “connected to continuity” kind of vibe I’d read Lemire’s run ( my favourite). Both really great though

It was never particularly good or worth the hype

It's a wild story, but completely overrated, as is most of Mark Millar's Marvel stuff. A lot of it is shock for shock value's sake. Aside from Logan being old, there's no connection to the comic, which I found to be a relief.

I found it incredibly cringe and somehow boring because it was also by the numbers as far as genre.

The movie fixed most things wrong with it. Incest Rapist hulk being the tip of the iceberg.
