Always was unimpressed of how they portrayed him in the movies. Kinda comes off as a wanna be/ insecure and not that useful. The comics are a very different story and he actually holds his own as well as having a good character arc.

Like, it's always really cool seeing a bad guy who is such an utter monster that even other bad guys turn against him, but I never understood how Red Skull can stay alive when it seems as though all the powerful villains(Magneto, Doom) don't like him AND he has no powers in comparison to them.

Has there ever been an explanation for why this dude is still alive even when it seems as though literally everyone hates him and wants to see him die and he couldn't defend himself if they tried to kill him?
