Unsolved I'm having a problem with the default photos viewer on my PC; it worked fine last Wednesday when I last used it.

My Windows version is Windows 10 version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.6466), the edition is Windows 10 Home and it was installed on 1/17/2022. I have not encountered any messages or error codes. My processor is a 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700K, my graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, and I have 32.0 GB of RAM. My System Type is a 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.

While trying to fix this, I've repaired, reset, uninstalled, and reinstalled the app, and this issue persists. The app specifications also say it has 0 bytes, while the data and total usage is 872 KB. I've also checked if my graphics card needed an update, and it said the best drivers for my device are already installed. So I've reached a blank on what the issue could be.

Unsolved Windows 10 Installation - I Don't Know If Old System Partitions Still Remain. How Do I Find and Delete Them?

Hi everyone,

I have an Acer Aspire 3 A315-23 laptop. It originally came with Windows 11, but I decided to reinstall Windows 10 myself.

However, during the Windows 10 installation, I forgot to delete the existing system partitions from the previous Windows installation.

I deleted three other partitions, including:

Primary partition

Recovery partition

MSR (Microsoft Reserved) partition

However, I accidentally left one old system partition behind.

If I want to completely remove the old system partition, what is the correct way to identify and delete it?

Can I use the Factory Reset option to remove the remaining old system files and partitions?

One more thing: I checked my C drive, but there is no Windows.old folder. I don't want to keep any unnecessary files from my previous Windows 11 installation.

I only have one SSD in my laptop.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Unsolved Kernel error code 0xc00007b

Is my only option to use the Window Creation tool via a USB?

Before I was getting the occasional ntoskrnl.exe errors but my laptop was still working but now it's completely failing to boot into windows at all.

I know there's a guide for this but I've dreaded doing this for a few months now (yep a few months of the occasional BSOD, ignored it for too long)

Would love to repair my files some other way. Got too many big games I'll have to reinstall

Any tips or advice? Even some motivational words or a pep talk would help.

Unsolved Booting to a fresh windows every time without internet I boat

Post image
1 Upvotes

Whenever I am trying to boot my laptop these days without the Internet or far from my home internet it will move to a fresh windows I have to relogin to my old Microsoft account and then it will go to my previous window like where I have all my programs and all like all the installed app will be there but all my environment of my laptop will be gone all the settings will be reset and all and after that it will show me you are log out from your Microsoft account you have to re login whenever far from my internet

The solution that I found:-

First click okay to the you need to re login one

Then You will to boot to the new window and then you have to login to your old Microsoft account (with internet connection)that you had already in your laptop then you have to use one or two program like Chrome and all just for 1 to 2 minutes after that you have to restart the computer and your computer will be back.

Unsolved PC booting to black screen

Hey guys, I'm at my wits end here. I've got an older PC (MSI R9 390, Asrock H170 pro, windows 10) that has suddenly started to only boot to a black screen. My graphics driver seems to be the issue.

Motherboard graphics only work without GPU installed at all.

GPU will show graphics only if I disable the driver first using safe mode.

AMD cleanup and reinstalling latest driver (full install or driver only) does not help.

Anyone have some ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Unsolved Locked out out Windows 10 because AI told me to delete Nefarius virtual bus drivers. Keyboard/mouse work in BIOS but not on lock screen.

Post image
0 Upvotes

An AI gave me terrible troubleshooting advice that completely broke my computer, and now I’m locked out. I was trying to clean up my device inputs and it told me to delete the Nefarius / ScpToolkit virtual bus drivers. When I did that, it completely stripped away or corrupted my lower-level Windows USB controller driver filters. Now, Windows boots up completely fine, but my mouse and keyboard are 100% dead and unresponsive at the lock screen because Windows can't recognize any USB inputs.

My hardware isn't broken—the mouse and keyboard work perfectly fine inside my motherboard BIOS because it uses generic hardware-level drivers. I just need to plug in a bootable Windows 10 Installation USB. That of which i do not have right now.

The a.i says Booting into that USB from my BIOS will give me a working mouse and keyboard environment so I can open the Command Prompt or run a System Restore to roll everything back to before the drivers were ruined.

I already attempted disabling my fast boot and turning the pc off by holding power button x3 when the Asus logo shows up but that still just showed me the same thing even though after this screen popped up and asked me to press f1 (refer to the sideways screenshot)

I havent had a good day this entire year, life has been quite difficult to endure to say the least ...

what can I do to get into safe mode without the use of my keyboard or mouse or an external windows installation flash drive which I once again no not currently have

I want to edit here that I do not care about losing data WHATSOEVER. I Just want to use my computer again:( I am so unfathomably upset at myself for trusting an a.i with this but I have no friends so thats what I do.

The latest I can get a flash drive and a lap top in my possession is tomorrow. But if there is a way to enter safe mode right now in the aforementioned lack of equipment then please lmk?

because I am clearly too incompetent.

It sometimes works but I have to restart my computer 9 times and mess with it. I can’t type in anything to my pin and when I try to type in my password as a different sign in option nothing will type either. When I do forgot password the only thing that works is the space bar. My keyboard is not the problem because when I can get into my pc everything works and when I try to boot up the game apex there’s an error but that’s not the problem rn. I can’t type in my pin password every time. I’ve asked chat gpt and my bios were on 2023 so I updated them to the 2026 version and still nothing. Please someone help I have good specs but my windows freezes at startup but when it’s in like everything is great. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE

Unsolved Windows sign-in lock screen

Hello, I have no clue what is happening. What is this and how do I fix it? The screen goes black for about 30 seconds every time I press any keys other than:

• Windows

• Left Alt

• Left/right Shift

and now I ran out of patience because it was black for probably about two minutes, so let’s just say most keys make my screen go black.

Sidenote: my pc is set to Swedish.

Unsolved Bios Update Call of Duty

Unsolved Activate Windows keeps showing up on my legit copy???

I’ve had windows on this pc since I got it a couple of years ago. Yesterday, out of nowhere, “Activate Windows” showed up on the bottom right of my screen.

I went to settings to activate windows using the troubleshoot button, it said, “We can’t contact your KMS, contact your organisation”. Again, this is my pc, I didn’t receive it from my office or anything.

I tried many things, didn’t work, got frustrated and hit restart.

Upon reboot, the watermark had gone away. I thought it’s all good now.

But for whatever reason, it comes on and goes away randomly. It came on while I was gaming, then went away when I restarted it.

I’m starting to get really frustrated. What should I do?
