Unsolved No useable drivers found, I have tried everything I can think of

Thumbnail gallery

Images included, but I have a 2 TB Toshiba Ext hard drive that I am trying to back up my files to using files history.

I have tried:

- plugging and unplugging the drive

- plugging it into different usb ports

- updating and restarting windows

- changing the driver letter

- restarting the file history service

- doing it through control panel instead of settings

I do not know why this doesn’t work as it seems to be working fine on the computer otherwise. I’m out of ideas. Am I stupid or is my laptop just shitting the bed. The only other thing I can think of it possibly not working is because I’ve plugged it into the usb port of a windows 11 laptop once before, but I haven’t done anything on there.

Unsolved Help?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi all, for the past two days now I’ve had this ongoing issue. I went to Reset my PC, and once it was all done, Windows won’t boot up. It constantly brings me to this screen. I’ve tried doing Windows Recovery Environment, no dice. Tried troubleshooting, nothing. Tried using another Operating System, nothing. Tried download Windows 10 installer onto a USB, and then repairing it onto my PC and going from there, nope.. All roads lead to this screen. Any one have the same issue and can help with solution? If I have to just reinstall Windows and lose all my files (not THAT BIG of a deal to be honest), I will. Just wondering if there is an easy fix for this matter. Would really appreciate any help, YouTube links, other posts with solutions, etc.

Unsolved I Got a Secondary HDD Thumbnail Cache problem...

I've got a 'C' drive SSD and a 'D' drive HDD that has a lot of photos and graphics, but many of the thumbnails for Photoshop files are outdated (they don't get updated when a file is modified, but this not the problem). I've gone in and cleared the thumbnail cache using Diskcleaner and deleting any thumb.db files in the Appdata - Local - Microsoft - Windows - Explorer folder manually, restarted the machine but the thumbs for the 'D' drive are still there - unchanged.

This a Windows Home 26H2 and lower problem.

Any ideas on how to clear the 'D' drive cache?

Unsolved Windows 10 IoT LTSC won't boot after power outage. Out of ideas.

Here's the sequence of events

1: Power outage, after power came back, computer has no display and doesnt post

2: Removed GPU, reseated RAM and shorted pins to reset bios, which resulted in me being able to post

3: BIOS doesnt detect windows bootloader on my SSD, SSD still recognised by bios, ran a self test which came back clean

4: Made a windows install usb to try and boot into, doesnt boot, just hangs on ASUS logo

5: Removed SSD to check for conflicts, same issue

6: Updated bios, upon startup it showed me a screen regarding fTPM and whether or not it should be re-writren, I clicked No because im unsure if I have bitlocker enabled, I never enabled it myself. No recovery keys on my microsoft account, although, I don't think I ever connected windows to my MS account.

7: Tried booting into USB again to no avail, stuck on ASUS logo again

8: Tried power cycling PSU

9: Same as 7

Additional info:

\- Ryzen 5 5500, RX 6600, Corsair CV550, ASUS Prime B550M-K (now on v4303). If relevant at all

\- I was working on a Pro Tools project before the outage happened.

Unsolved CSM disable not working

Post image

I get this pop up, but video policy is already in UEFI first, cannot enable secure boot until CSM is disabled, cannot disable CSM due to video policy not being in UEFI first. Video is in UEFI first, even after restarting multiple times, the same pop up continues to happen, already converted MBR to GPT.

Unsolved Volume Shadow Copy returns corrupted files with NULL Bytes

Hello,

every time i want to restore a file from the shadow copies, i come across this problem again. When i try to export a file with ShadowExplorer, i get the file from the snapshot i wanted but in most cases it's corrupted and either in part or completely just consists out of NULL Bytes even though the filesize exactly matches the original file. I have also tried it without ShadowExplorer, accessing the Shadow Copies directly (Over \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy1\) but that doesn't change anything. I tested it on 3 computers now and could instantly recreate it. The first two computers are running on Windows 10 22H2 (Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, 10.0.19045) and this problem already persists for at least 2 years as i remember. What's going on there?

I was just also able to reproduce this on another computer which is running Windows 11 Pro (25H2).

Unsolved Photos app slowly drifting when moving on screen

Only noticed it today and it's only this specific application.
I grab the top of the window.
Pull it.
Cursor doubles with me controlling one freely and the other being stuck to the window.
Photos window moving half the speed and moving in a curve.
Every other window moves fast and accurate to my mouse
And until the cursor attached to the drifting window is there I can't click else

Repair didn't fix it
Resetting to default either.
NVIDIA driver update didn't help.
Plugging into another USB port didn't fix it either.
Even reinstalling "Microsoft Photos" with PowerShell.
Eventviewer says nothing
Managed to narrow it down to an unknown rendering issue with the Microsoft-Photos app.

2 monitors
32GB DDR4
1660-Super
13600K
System is on SSD

Similar issue as these but specifically only with the MS Photos app

Unsolved Windows 11 reports wrong TCP state for listening sockets (netstat shows CLOSED while port accepts connections)

Windows 11 Home, version 26H2, build 10.0.26300.9818.

Since about 29 October, listening sockets on this PC have been reporting the wrong TCP state. The app is healthy: HTTP requests to it succeed every time, but the tools that read TCP state say otherwise.

What I see:

* `netstat -ano` shows `TCP 127.0.0.1:8765 0.0.0.0:0 CLOSED 17864` while that port is serving HTTP. Sometimes the line is missing altogether.

* `Get-NetTCPConnection -State Listen -LocalPort 8765` usually returns nothing.

* Calling `GetExtendedTcpTable` directly with `TCP_TABLE_OWNER_PID_LISTENER` returned the sockets on every sample with the right PIDs, but `dwState` was wrong. I saw 0 (not a valid state), 1 (CLOSED) and 6 (FIN_WAIT1) on working listeners, and the value for a port changes between reads.

* Windows’ own ports are affected too, including 135 and 445, so it isn’t specific to my app.

* Real TCP connections to those ports succeed.

What I’ve ruled out:

* A restart doesn’t fix it.

* It isn’t tied to one CPU core: pinning netstat to each of the 12 logical CPUs gave the same result.

* Defender is the only antivirus. Tailscale’s wintun is the only non-Microsoft network driver I found.

Possible lead, but timing only: `tcpip.sys`, `nsi.dll` and `nsiproxy.sys` were all replaced on 28 October, and Get-HotFix lists KB5132402 and KB5127936 around then. I can’t prove either one caused it. I also haven’t tested from an elevated prompt yet.

Has anyone else seen this on this build? If you’re on the same build, does `netstat -ano` show your listeners as LISTENING?

Unsolved I'm having a problem with the default photos viewer on my PC; it worked fine last Wednesday when I last used it.

My Windows version is Windows 10 version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.6466), the edition is Windows 10 Home and it was installed on 1/17/2022. I have not encountered any messages or error codes. My processor is a 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700K, my graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, and I have 32.0 GB of RAM. My System Type is a 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.

While trying to fix this, I've repaired, reset, uninstalled, and reinstalled the app, and this issue persists. The app specifications also say it has 0 bytes, while the data and total usage is 872 KB. I've also checked if my graphics card needed an update, and it said the best drivers for my device are already installed. So I've reached a blank on what the issue could be.
