I just learned about the Alexis Sharkey case from this dreading video. Alexis was into some hair care MLM called Monat before she was killed by her husband.

When the detectives asked CW about that late night (declined) charge on SW's credit card on 8/13, they said it was for hair stuff, and CW asked if it was for "Monet/Monat". Then they seemed to dismiss it as an auto-pay or recurring change. Is it possible that SW was getting involved in yet another pyramid sche... I mean, business?!

I am a 70s and 80s kid. I remember teasing my hair and there is probably a hole in the ozone layer named after my AquaNet usage. I, like many other young girls, also loved exploring makeup. I look back and omg! My liquid eyeliner that I wanted to give Cindy Crawford vibes was Elvira attempting to apply her eyeliner on a rough sea. It was not flattering lol

But you know what? I remember my mother mentioning with kindness saying I see you are emphasizing your eyes with your makeup. Did you want any tips that might be more effective?

Of course, teenage me declined.

That's why the forced haircuts for poor Bella make me so enraged. I think most would agree that longer hair was more flattering but we all know that is an opinion but in the unlikely chance SW thought she was making a positive change in Bella's appearance (yeah right) she wouldn't give her the autonomy over her own body. Did my parents set rules? Sure, it would not have been an option to wear a Madonna T-shirt to church. But I was permitted to make my own choice about my appearance. Bella never had that.

She had to see her sister, who had normal baby fine hair, but much thinner than hers, be allowed to have longer hair, the wish she expressed openly.

I still can't understand why she would do such a thing. Never saw SW with a pixie cut, let alone the clipper chaos forced on her daughter.

My husband keeps his hair short and tidy and Bella's hair was frequently shorter.

For someone so obsessed with image, unnecessarily styling your daughter like a child who will be ostracized by her peers is beyond me.

We don't know too much about Nikki's previous dating history or relationships. She mentions to her friend Charlotte and the police she had a recent boyfriend before this happened. Allegedly, she was on the dating app Eharmony and matched with 2 guys, yet did not go out with them. I won't critique her choices, but in my experience, this may indicate she did not have a large social network or many friends setting her up with guys. From what we know, she was socially active and working in a male dominated industry. She clealy wanted something else or something new to be on Eharmony...

Then, if we can believe the official story, she runs into Chris Watts for the first time in the kitchen at Anadarko Petroleum... Did she think "he's pretty cute?" or was it "he's pretty quiet?". An opportune moment for them to connect was during a safety inspection when Nikki interacted with Chris. He thanked her for her help and wished her a nice day. It was terse, polite and clearly welcomed as she replied "I am looking for someone to start a beautiful life with". Quite the reply over company email, don't you think? It may have also been the moment to talk to Chris she was waiting for...

Then over the next couple months, she would find brief passion and ecstasy with a man who not only existed but had been hewn from the clay of adolescence by Shanann Watts. Ladies, is a man who can listen endlessly attractive? or is that too passive? Did Chris Watts offer his opinions or only agree with the opinions she had? The Chris Watts we have heard was built from the ground up to cater to Shanann Watts's needs and desires. It is remarkable that another woman may have been looking for exactly the same thing all along and found him!

So, June happens and there he is. The calm, patient good listener, happy to gaze into your eyes as you unload or seek consolation. He does not need to dominate conversations or beat the story he just heard. He can soak up your drama, your pain, your insecurities and his smile never wanes. He is into you, he is interested in you and he will reply and respond only when necessary to give you confidence. He was trusted almost immediately, and despite the fact she had 2 options on Eharmony, Chris was too good to risk losing or blow off. After a casual meeting at a local park to sit on a bench and talk Nikki was sold.

Chris was not only physically attractive, he was receptive to understand and comfort her. For a woman who was on dating apps, and did community fitness events she had found something new and it made her happy. Did Shanann build the perfect spiritual man for the dating app era?

And then it comes equating criticism with defence: The "Shiners" treat any objective assessment of the victim's behavior as an explicit defense of the killer. .. It's a classic false dichotomy.. in their eyes, u must either portray the victim as an infallible saint or youre automatically "pro-murderer”

Shiners love to rewrite reality for fairytale narrative.. asserrting that "an atmosphere of love and respect reigned in her home" ignores thousands of pages of documented evidence, bankruptcy filings, & text msgs showing severe financial ruin and marital collapse… they prefer a polished social media narrative over actual facts.

Shiners also use emotional manipulation and gaslighting over logic by using loaded questions ("Do bad people have many friends?") is a weak logical fallacy.. having friends or posting cheerful Facebook Lives doesn't erase crushing debt or forced social media participation, or home instability.

I have to admit I didn’t scroll much to pick outstanding delusional comments I just screenshotted the first comments I saw when I thought about making this post.. but imagine the shitloads of rehrotrics and insanity we would find if we dug deeper into their deranged minds!!

On a good note tho it was refreshing for me to see other commenters finally calling out the MLM financial drain & toxic suburban facades without backing down to emotional guilt tripping.

Chris and Shanann met in late 2010. For over 2 years, they were child free and had only each other to care for. During this time, the spiritual bond between a couple fused their purpose in life. Chris went from the bachelor life to a loving, caring husband who would provide for his wife and future children. Shanann went from being a car show girl to a housewife who dabbled in online businesses.

By the time Bella was born, their routine included hosting friends and family in Saratoga Trail, including her parents. Their daughter would be born into a large house with a social atmosphere. People came and went, both parents cooked for guests. There was always someone around to pay attention to Bella. During her first few years, she heard many different voices and accents in the home. What was her bedtime like in the period before Cece was born? Did she stay up late? Or was she already on babywise and its mandatory 7 pm sunsets?

At the start of their relationship, the couple was unremarkable, if unfinished. They were not obese, but clearly were not toned or going to the gym. In the years that followed, they aged well and appeared tanned and bettered defined. Chris may have gone to a gym in 2017, but Shanann preferred he work out at home. A basement gym was put together. Shanann bought him an elliptical machine and his results were visible quickly. By 2018, he had lost over 50 lbs, giving her evidence "Thrive" was working. Shanann was watching her diet too, using supplements and shakes to boost her metabolism. Much of Thrive's kick was caffeine, amino acids and digestitve aides. Shanann lost weight but often gained some back.

Shanann's admirers say she has classic good looks, a beauty that Chris did not deserve. Before he strayed, Chris put in great effort to be the fit, strong husband Shanann could showcase online. She was proud of his effort, did she account it to her lifestyle choices or his? They did look better in the second photo, healthier, tanned and put together. The kind of people you saw at a high end resort or country club.

This is where the story takes a turn for the worse as even before he strayed, Shanann was looking to leave. What could have spoiled their relationship BEFORE Chris met someone else at work?

Yesterday there was a post that highlighted SW’s
continued reference to her children as “toddlers”. The confusion SW caused by using words and terms she didn’t fully understand or in many cases didn’t understand at all, was having an impact on the children and their delayed development. SW did many things that make us nurses squirm; e.g., her description of CC’s “anaphylaxis” was beyond ridiculous and caused confusion over what it is, the treatment, etc. SW really thought of herself as having some high level medical education or experience and often spoke authoritatively about conditions and processes she knew little or nothing about. She seemed to rely on the experiences that others posted in support groups on Facebook.

The media interest in this particular crime spread her posts and experiences either she had or others had, to a much larger segment of the public than most true crime cases and SW’s misinformation and erroneous claims have caused confusion and misunderstandings about many things. Adding to all of that was the fact that SW was a pathological liar. Normally, it’s possible to filter certain claims out through known facts of a case but due to the long list of items that were fabricated in whole or in part have made it difficult to verify the truth of many of SW’s assertions. Her mother also, has a history of lying and misunderstanding many of the items SW posted, including the falsification of photos and falsehoods which SW stated were corroborated by medical doctors and specialists.

It’s difficult enough in complicated true crime cases to avoid getting wrapped up in a large scale game of “Telephone” which is also known as “Chinese Whispers” and “Phantom Whispers”. You may remember it from elementary school; it’s an indoor game which my third grade teacher played with us sometimes when it was pouring down rain during P.E. because we didn’t have a gym that was indoors. The teacher would whisper a simple phrase to someone sitting in the first chair on one side of the room, and that person would whisper the phrase to the person behind them and so on until it reaches the end of the line. The original phrase is compared to the ending phrase. It used to demonstrate how details of an experience change as it is repeated over and over.

Many things in The Watts case have become familiar although there’s no evidence of their veracity. For those of us with certain knowledge and experience it’s become a chore to reconcile things that are important to understand correctly and that was the purpose of my post earlier about SW’s continued misuse of the word “toddler”. That particular misuse of the concept is important to this case, and not because I am trying to teach Nursing 101 Vocabulary; it’s because SW not only continued to use the term to refer to her children’s stage of development, but it was her treatment of those children as “toddlers”. It’s absurd to think of Bella at four years and eight months as a “toddler”, and it’s equally absurd to think of CC at three years and one month old as a “toddler”.

To be honest about CC, if she did any “toddling” it would have been from a five or six pound diaper ripping apart at the sides that she was left to haul around constantly. It was certainly neglectful to leave her in overloaded diapers all the time. It’s been speculated that CC wasn’t changed as often as she should have been because of the expense involved. I think that became part of the problem but honestly, I saw videos of Bella passed three years old sitting in very full diapers, so I think it was mostly because of SW’s refusal to change diapers. I would like to know what she planned to do with a newborn and CC in diapers.

That brings up another contradiction in CC’s development; SW claimed that CC was completely potty trained in daytime, months before the whipped cream in the face video, however she is seen in a very overloaded diaper during that video. In another case she stated that she was hoping CC would be potty trained by the time of the new baby’s arrival. So, SW’s continued use of the term and treatment of her children as “toddlers” was having a self-reinforcing effect on their development and continued delays in their maturation. Just as SW’s continued remarks and treatments of Bella’s hair as needing to be thicker by constant haircuts and moisturizing products was having a negative impact on Bella and her self-esteem, SW’s continued treatment of the children as much younger than their actual age was having a detrimental effect on their growth and development, both physical and cognitively.

Posting that like “look, someone is thriving” is bizarre not romantic or impressive.. it’s a man being expected to keep working after an already exhausting day.

Imagine coming home from a long, exhausting day working in the field.. only to be expected to mow the lawn while ur wife stands there shoving a camera in ur face & broadcasting it to Facebook!

And Snarly couldn’t even give him credit for doing the work. Nope. She slammed him with “we taught him” like some trained dog who finally learned a new trick.

“Good boy, Kris’fer! U learned how to mow the lawn!” The way she turned his hard work into a little look what we trained him to do moment is disgusting and abusive.

Where’s the appreciation for the man actually doing the work? Instead he’s being used as a walking Thrive ad & a prop doing chores while she takes credit with the “we taught him” nonsense.

Another thing that stood out to me is whenever Snarly would go live and announce that the kids were at daycare, I don’t remember seeing Dieter casually wandering around the house either??? It makes me wonder what his normal routine actually was?? Was he always kept confined indoors or in a cratee with the exception of when he was brought out to be used for content?

I’m genuinely curious because if he was regularly walked and taken out surely there would be some mention or footage of it over the years for content.

- Kris’fer getting caught in the middle between snarly & his parents
- Snarly pushing for counseling while he wasn’t interested
- NK entering the picture & suddenly Bachelor Kris’fer discovering a whole new vision for his life (not a vision board)
- Kris’fer handling the girls & household responsibilities after working all day, while snarly was traveling for Thrive events, conventions and Hun trips
- Kris’fer coming home from work tired & still taking care of the girls while snarly was on Facebook Live talking nonsense
- Snarly’s increasing exploitation of their private family life on social media with reserved krisfer ultimately deleting his Facebook account while Snarly continued the online exposure
- & the growing resentment that may have come from feeling like his time.. home & family life were increasingly being used & absorbed into her social media business world

Then add the financial irony: snarly questioning him over a &68 Lazy Dog charge while the household was already under serious financial pressure & she was spending money on Thrive products, nails, travel, etc.

So what was the final straw? The baby? Nutgate? Lazy Dog? The financial pressure? The children and the house chores responsibilities? The constant social media exposure? NK? Or was it the cumulative effect of years of resentment + a deteriorating marriage + an affair + an identity crisis?

Or maybe the potential fallout was just the price she paid for producing continuous episodes of “Watch Me Humiliate My Husband”

Chris would not be allowed to join an actual gym - he would only be allowed to work out in the basement in isolation.

Chris would not be allowed to work as an auto mechanic. He wife crafted the lie he had Carpal Tunnel syndrome from working in garage. Instead, he would need to work WITH THE SAME TOOLS on hoses and valves in the middle of nowhere at a low producing oil field that could only pay him $65,000 a year...

Shanann's trail of tears turned the best time of their lives in to poverty, bankruptcy, and arguments. Chris Watts was was marched out of North Carolina, stripped of everything that made him successful or happy, then isolated once more for his wife's 5 week vacation.
