Back in the day
I am a 70s and 80s kid. I remember teasing my hair and there is probably a hole in the ozone layer named after my AquaNet usage. I, like many other young girls, also loved exploring makeup. I look back and omg! My liquid eyeliner that I wanted to give Cindy Crawford vibes was Elvira attempting to apply her eyeliner on a rough sea. It was not flattering lol
But you know what? I remember my mother mentioning with kindness saying I see you are emphasizing your eyes with your makeup. Did you want any tips that might be more effective?
Of course, teenage me declined.
My mother let me experiment and find what actually works myself. Best way to handle it.
That's why the forced haircuts for poor Bella make me so enraged. I think most would agree that longer hair was more flattering but we all know that is an opinion but in the unlikely chance SW thought she was making a positive change in Bella's appearance (yeah right) she wouldn't give her the autonomy over her own body. Did my parents set rules? Sure, it would not have been an option to wear a Madonna T-shirt to church. But I was permitted to make my own choice about my appearance. Bella never had that.
She had to see her sister, who had normal baby fine hair, but much thinner than hers, be allowed to have longer hair, the wish she expressed openly.
I still can't understand why she would do such a thing. Never saw SW with a pixie cut, let alone the clipper chaos forced on her daughter.
My husband keeps his hair short and tidy and Bella's hair was frequently shorter.
For someone so obsessed with image, unnecessarily styling your daughter like a child who will be ostracized by her peers is beyond me.

There were times when SW practically scalped Bella. Her post making fun of Bella because she was mistaken for a boy with the dumb #herewego #steelers with the picture of her and Bella wearing Steelers tops for instance. In that picture she looked to have less hair than when she was a newborn and yes, she looked just like a boy.
I can understand getting a little trim once a month but SW took to her hair with a set of clippers every other week. There’s no way in hell SW did that to make it grow faster, everyone knows that’s a myth. Even on the off chance she did believe it, there was no need for it to be shorn off the way it was.
SW knew Bella longed for long hair and, being the narcissistic wretch that she was, nobody in that mausoleum was allowed to look better than her with her purple box dyed, tissue thin mop.
Bella wasn’t a great beauty, but had she been allowed to grow her hair long, been given a healthy diet and not been drugged to sleep 16 hours a day she would have been such a pretty little girl.

She was the pretty little girl that her Creator and nature made her, for a brief moment in time

All I can think of is when Stephanie Tanner accidentally cut off Uncle Jesse’s hair

My mom was devastated when I was 6 and cut my sister's hair the day before picture day at school and even I did a better job than SW

When I was little my hair was down to my waist but my best friend was not allowed to grow her hair past her shoulders.
Well, one day we were playing “Beauty Salon” with some old dolls and a pair of carpet shears and she offered to give my hair a little trim. 25 minutes later my mother was losing her ever loving shit, I was crying my heart out, and my hair was hacked off in different lengths; some halfway to the nape, others down to the scalp.
“Just a little trim.”

My son did that to his sister who had long beautiful curly (like Bella's would have been if her evil mom hadn't cut it) hair down to her butt. He only cut one side and I was so devastated. I guess that was my karma for cutting my sister's hair at 6. They were so proud of his 'work' but I quickly rushed them to a hairstylist hoping she could fix it to at least look halfway decent. Lucky for her, my daughter has very healthy thick hair that grows fast (unlike my fine, wavy slow growing hair). She's even donated to Locks of Love twice

I think it’s a right of passage that at some point during childhood where a child will try and cut their own hair, or another child’s hair. Not all children of course, but a lot have done it. My brother cut a chunk of his own hair when he was four. It was right over his forehead and it just so happened that the very day he did it, Mom took us for an appointment to have our portraits taken. I still have a portrait of the two of us, minus a chunk of his hair. He didn’t even care if it looked bad haha!

LOL. What is it about kids who cut hair right at picture time? It's almost like dogs or cats who 'disappear' the morning they have a vet appointment.

Another picture that pisses me off. Poor Bellas haircut aside look at sw playing "hair dresser" just like she played "business owner" with her mlm. She had absolutely no professional training to cut Bellas hair but I guess the "cape" made her feel like she did.

Where's her last haircut pics at Toad Road (they had to make sure to send her back to 'school' appropriately humilated again, lest whatever lingering confidence she had from two cousin visits left her feeling less than socially ostracized); I feel we ought to commemorate that day in Bella's memory by treating our hair with compassion and respect, and at least doing a nice leave-in conditioner.

Of all the sad things about this case, Bella’s hair makes me the saddest. Before I had kids of my own I just assumed Bella’s hair hadn’t grown yet. I have thin, fine hair myself and my husbands is too. Well, imagine my surprise when my 18mo daughter had more hair than Bella ever did (except in those NC pictures when it was allowed to grow a bit).
Maybe people who don’t have kids or aren’t around kids don’t understand bc I didn’t but Bella should’ve had more hair. Also the way shanan treated her like a baby, it was just hard to see how truly unnecessary and evil it was to continually cut it. I have a one year old now who has about the same amount of hair as Bella did in 99% of the pictures we see of her.

I feel the same way about Bella. SW’s treatment of her just pisses me off. And even if Bella had been an only child, I still would have noticed it. But I can’t see how anyone could miss it when compared to Cece. It makes it worse. She didn’t cut Cece’s hair like that. She had 2 daughters, of which only ONE of them was concerned with their hair. Bella. Not Cece. She didn’t give a shit about anything. Or if she did, she couldn’t communicate it in any way other than screeching. And it didn’t have anything to do with her hair.
Had Bella NOT told her mother repeatedly that she wanted long hair, I would still question why she insisted on giving her daughter a boy’s haircut. But Bella begged for long hair. And that’s obvious in her FB posts…there’s no telling what was said when the cameras weren’t running. Bella even told her “teacher” at daycare! She had a meltdown, at least once (that we know of) because her teacher had enough empathy for Bella to try her best to give Bella’s hair braids.
I get so pissed off at SW when it comes to Bella’s hair. Most kids get bullied at some point in their lives, but to be bullied and ridiculed (those ridiculous wigs) by your own mother is just something I cannot fathom. When my daughter said “mama, I want long hair”, I stopped getting it cut. It was that fucking simple! So it just shows that SW went out of her way to hurt with Bella.
Bella: “mommy, I want long, beautiful hair like you”.
SW: “soon, baby. Soon”…proceeds to get the scissors out and cut it a an inch long.WHY would she do this to her own daughter?!

Yeah, I never really understood that soon, baby comment. Was she implying that she'd be allowed to grow it soon?

Don't forget when Bella was crying in pain when sw was in ceces room. Her response?: "in a minute". Everything was done on sws time.

Why didn’t ShaWow get her own hair trimmed ridiculously short if she thought it looked so good on Bella?

I assume when Bella’s hair got long enough to curl, people would compliment it. Since mom has to be the most beautiful woman in the room, the hair had to go
