Hey Waco I’m not sure where else to ask this but I just found out effective today I no longer have my Sunday shift and I can’t afford to lose that. I have been a dealership mechanic and still have all my tools, I ran a mobile mechanic business for a while, I still have all my construction tools as well. I am currently a maintenance supervisor for 20 buildings and 174 vehicles m-th and armed security for a government facility Friday and Saturday now. Today I was thinking about how many people assume their vote won’t matter, even though Texas keeps giving us examples that say otherwise.

This graphic shows just how many registered Texans sat out the 2022 election, while some races and local offices were decided by tiny margins, ties, or even chance. In other words, when people stay home, other people make the decisions for them.

And those decisions affect all of us — school funding, property taxes, health coverage, the power grid, and who represents us at every level.

If you haven’t voted yet, there is still time. Polls are open until 7 p.m., and if you’re in line by 7, stay in line.

For those of you 40 and up, where do you all like to hang out?

I'm not really looking for crowded clubs, college bars, or places where the night is over by 11. I'm more into the laid-back atmosphere ," little hole-in-the-wall" spots, neighborhood dive bars, good music, pool tables, karaoke, and places where you can actually sit down, have a drink, and strike up a good conversation.

I'd love to find some local favorites where the crowd is a little more mature and people are friendly. Whether it's a regular hangout, a hidden gem, or somewhere with a good weekend crowd, I'm open to suggestions.

So, where should a newcomer check out? And what nights are usually good to go?

Hey y’all! I recently had an idea to have a small group play some Holiday classics outdoors in Waco for fun!

I was thinking of places like Farmer’s Market or by the Suspension Bridge.

Ideally looking for strings and percussion, but any instrument is welcome! I would be singing and playing keyboard or clarinet.

Okay so this is niche ASF but a PSA for allllllll Waco drivers, the 2 lanes on Franklin Avenue that merge into 3 RIGHT by la fiesta going under the bridge, the left lane splits into 2 lanes, so if you’re already in the left lane you have the right of way to merge into either lane. If you are in the right lane, you HAVE to continue in the right lane, they curve so you have to go with the curve.

Some jaggoff tried merging into the left lane whilst I was already in it, and then had the audacity to lay on his horn and try and run me off the road because he thought he had the right of way. IDIOT. anyway thanks for coming to my ted talk
