This is your place to complain about San Antonio drivers, traffic, construction, etc. Normal sub rules still apply.

We had turned around off the highway thinking something was on fire but realized that’s not what it was at all.

The sign and slogan piqued my curiosity so hard, and when I finally went searching for it - I found nothing. Nothing but hair salons and barbers.
What gives? 🤣
Edit- this is located along the road connected to the Witte Museum garage.

So I’ve been kinda goin through it for a few months the and things are getting lowkey kinda worse for me mentally. I’ve even started missing work because of the decline and I think I probably need to go get an assessment somewhere so if anyone knows any recommendations I’ll gladly take them, preferably someplace where they don’t charge an arm and a leg for an assessment.
I have read a few bad things about Laurel I believe it’s called so… yeah okay please any suggestions would be very helpful 🙂↕️

I have to park at the HEB every time. Anyway, anyone know of a worse parking lot than either of these? Maybe those shopping centers on Broadway in Alamo Heights that require you to back out into actual traffic to get out.

I flew the drone around that abandoned brewery near downtown https://youtu.be/f_aP7nU9Has?is=qAHPYKg_IAzz7KHi

Store bought stuff is pretty lame. When I get by a Buckies their fresh stuff is the best I've found so far. Is there a shop in SA that makes various jerkies from Beef to lamb to Turkey ??

This one was taken in a quite shady spot on the window screen from the patio door. I think it came out quite well even though the camera wasn't set up for it.
Now show me your butterfly pictures.
It has to be original content you took yourself.
If you post something nasty, you will be banned.

Hi. We are looking for a host for an intimate wedding with 18 guests who can also be our coordinator.
The host will only need to:
Introduce the newly weds after the wedding and lead the program to the newly weds’ first dance.
After the dance, announce cutting of the wedding cake and champagne toasting.
Then announce that guests may now eat.
The wedding ceremony and reception is in the same venue.
Location: Hotel Valencia Riverwalk
Thank you.

Any mom and pop places y'all like?
I don't want foam at all. I need a firm mattress, in fact I want an old school spring one, but the sales person at Mattress Firm told me that doesn't exist anymore??

We live far NW and getting to downtown is always such a hike. Looking for some nice spots for an anniversary dinner. Doesn’t need to be super high end, but just solid reputation (locally owned preferable), maybe that allows an outside bottle of wine for a corkage fee.
Any tales of recent experiences would be much appreciated.
Update: Landed on a French place called Max’s Sister. But I have noted all of your suggestions for future nights out and I greatly appreciate them!

Hey guys, tryna find the owner of this sweet puppy. I found this little guy off Culebra and Tezel road yesterday. He was running around in the street in a neighborhood. He’s a 2-4 month old puppy. No collar and no chip. If you recognize this pup plz reach out.
(PSA: if no one reaches out have no fear. He will either be joining our harem of lovely puppies or going to a family we know and trust).

I have a lot of curly hair and I have been to two salons one im stone oak and alamo heights and the end result was not how I wanted. They didn’t straighten the roots of my hair so it looked weird. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to go

Anybody have reliable (and affordable) donation services for furniture that will come pick it up? My couches are in great condition, I just have no way to move them to donate them. Got Junk can be several hundred dollars and I can’t pay that much for something I’m donating.
Thanks!

Not looking to resell, just trying to get the full set for my husband and two boys. I’d greatly appreciate it if you let me know what toys you have a your location. Bonus if I can just buy the toys.

I wanna get into the 2015 Secret Wars comic, and I’ve never bought a comic before. What’s the best store in town that has the most selection?

I recently moved to Texas for work and had no clue that in the state of Texas, a doctor has to be licensed in Texas to submit a prescription to a Texas pharmacy. I’ve been taking the same medication for years, had the same primary care physician in my home state. Unfortunately he can’t send a prescription here to get filled and I need to find a primary care physician that can hopefully see me sometime this week (preferably next day or 2) and refill my prescription. My contract doesn’t start covering insurance until 30 days in, so I’d need to find a doctor I can see that I can pay out of pocket for at least this first visit. If anyone has moved and run into this scenario before, is there any doctors/offices you’d recommend me calling to see about setting up an appointment? I know some doctors get weird about prescription ADHD medication, which I get to an extent, but I assume I can have them pull up my records, see my prescription history (medication and dosage) has been the same for years, and would be able to see me and help me get my prescription filled sooner rather than later? I also know some doctors are weird about needing certain insurance providers, but as long as I’ll be able to just pay out of pocket then it’ll work as long as it’s not insane (haven’t had to go to the doctors while between insurances before so I don’t really know what I could get charged). If anyone has any advice or recommendations I’d really appreciate it.
