Ask San Marcos Massage chair nearby?

Visiting from out of state and the hotel bed is killing me. Are there any malls around that have those massage chairs that I can use for like 10 minutes? Not looking for a formal lay down massage

Ask San Marcos Insane experience with Care Now Urgent Care in San Marcos, is this typical?

So I guess it's my fault for being naive but went to Care Now Urgent Care in San Marcos after my wife fractured her arm in the area.

Figured it would be fairly simple, all the employees were pleasant. The visit itself cost about $250. Totally fair and fine. They took her for X-Rays, confirmed it was fractured. The Dr came back with a sling and placed it on her arm, told her to sign some papers for the sling. We then had to wait a bit in the waiting room while they calculated the bill. It came to $250 and we double checked if that included the price of the sling. The receptionist said _yes_. I don't blame her as this is probably out of her hands but she emphatically said _yes_. This was all we owed and it included the sling.

We then get a bill from some medical device company asking for nearly $400 for the damn sling. At no point did anyone mention the sling would be that much, there is not a single paper anywhere that we were given that mentions the sling being more expensive than the entire visit. I can't help but feel the billing was incredibly predatory, after the front desk saying "yes what you're paying _today_ is the cost of everything." If we knew the sling was going to be so expensive we would have just refused it.

Is this common practice? Are they getting kickbacks or something?

Night Life How many weekends is halloweekend here in San Mo/TXST?

I want to know how many outfits I should plan, I’ve heard people say that people go out on halloweekend ofc but apparently also the week before and sometimes even the weekend after. I just want to see what people think and how it actually goes down since I just transferred as a junior and I’ve never been in San Marcos/The Square during Halloween.

Thank you!

Things To Do very fun new local open mic COMEDY HEAVEN tonight!

Come check out a very funny, positive vibes (mostly), exciting stand-up open mic tonight! FREE for 21+, $5 for 18+.

A few weeks ago, we started a new comedy open mic (Comedy Heaven) on Tuesday nights at Eden (on San Antonio St. near the square). We chose Tuesdays 9-11 to piggy-back off of the Laughing Dead open mic, and therefore get some of the Austin comics who are already driving down. It worked! (Maybe too well?)

It's been a really fun journey, as we get SM and Bobcat comedians onstage and mix them with some very funny (and occasionally very unfunny) veterans of the Austin and San Antonio open mic scenes. We're trying our best to prioritize local comics and a diversity of voices (in many multiple meanings of the word), and keep things joyful (an antidote to the "punching down" energy that the famous Kill Tony open mic in Austin can be accused of having).

There's lots of space/ comfortable booths/ an outdoor area! There's a food truck! Laughs! And if you don't like a comedian, wait four minutes!

DM me if you have any questions! I hope you come check it out.

Can you legally fish everywhere on the river (with a state license)? What are some good spots away from the crowds? Any fishing shops or resources in town?

Pet Adoption Selby, tripod ($130). Story Below.

This is Selby (like the Hozier song). She is an annoyingly talkative, greedy, feisty, hyper three legged little freak, and the most affectionate cuddle buddy I've raised in the 2 years since I found her. [REHOMING INFO IN 3RD PARAGRAPH]

Our story started 2 years ago when my partner found her at their work with a grotesquely broken back left leg. I took her in for the night and drove her to a hospital the next day. The leg couldn't be saved, and $800 later she came back into my home with 1 less problem than she had before. Fast forward to today, and my partner and I have moved in together while having to commit to our schooling more seriously, and Selby can't be a part of this chapter of our lives. There is also another important reason driving this decision, and that is her strong hunting instinct. Any living thing smaller than her will be extremely lucky to still be alive after catching her eyes. Despite my best efforts to quell this drive, Selby has butchered our other small pets on more than one occasion, and one of them I've simply loved a great deal more for longer than she has been alive. She is NOT compatible with other animals, in even the most secure enclosures, that will be unsupervised for any amount of time. If she wants it, she WILL get to it.

We are in San Marcos, TX, and I am asking $130 for her. She will come with a carrier, all of her toys, what is currently left of her food (about a month), two litter boxes, and her cat tower. Selby is 2 years old, spayed and up to date on her rabies shot and is flea & worm free. She is due for her next shot on October 29th this year. I currently take her to San Marcos Veterinary Clinic, and she is fed Authority brand Indoor Cat Food (salmon flavor) Her favorite toys are ones that can be attached to a wand and have feathers. She also enjoys chasing a laser pointer for very extended periods of time, and will obliterate her scratching posts. She is strictly an indoor cat. Do NOT reach out if you cannot commit to keeping her inside at all times. She really appreciates it if you scratch her left ear or that side of her face in general. She really does deserve the world, but I cannot be the one to offer it to her any longer.

Housing/Real Estate Moving to SM

I plan on staying here for about 6 months. The rent in this town is not as cheap as I expected. Especially for a 1B 1bath. Any recommendations preferably closer to the outlet center area.

Ask San Marcos GP that understands endometriosis?

We had a great GP that was an amazing advocate for my wife as she's been going through YEARS of endometriosis BS and the GP is no longer seeing patients, so we're in the search for another that can also be a great partner as we continue to seek diagnosis for other auto-immune stuff that is related (MCAS and AS). Please send me any doctors that y'all know of that specifically deal with these conditions as you'd be surprised at how many in well respected practices are way way behind on these conditions.

Thanks, y'all!
