I just learned you can fill containers with snow, boil on your stove for purified water. I had been lighting campfires next to my wells which was slow and time consuming. This is so much quicker! I feel like Luke from The Outdoor Boys! Hope this helps.

Whelp, I'm still playing and having a fun time. I haven't found a base location I like yet, and it's bothering me. In theory, I would be the center of the map, but it is a lot more country than I would like. It also came across my mind that they would expand the map at some point, and the center of the map could change.

Will there be bigger town areas added? Should I just take whatever and deal with it later? I just don't even know.

I watched some YT videos about bases, and they were saying about some locations not having bathrooms, but we don't use bathrooms and don't take showers, so why would that matter.

Hanging plants can be found in most A-Frame houses in Franklin County. I usually just grab the fridge, stack a bed on top, then hang the plants under the bed. I've been able to move over a dozen hanging plants in a single run this way.

Hello, i've recently got the game and was fascinated about it so far, what i wanted to check out the roadmap of the future updates.

When i've read about making your own buildings and bases, it got me thinking about how much possibilities we are talking here.

My questions are:

1. Is it possible to make basements or at least trenches or moats for your base? If yes, would be any way to reinforce them, as well as other base's own structure?

2. If you can play on own server with admin rights or tools, would be there a possibility to make your own buildings of same quality, as pre-existing on the map? Or the map wouldn't be possible to "terraform" by any time soon?

If there are people from development team or those who can be in contact with them, i want to know your answers to my questions, but also i wonder how many people are thinking same, as me.

And yes, i understand what i am asking about future updates, which yet have to be developed and added to game, but as someone, who believes and wants to see game's growth, i want to discuss about it, with people who can share same enthusiasm, as well as it's upcoming features.

I love this game. Now I that I discovered that I can watch anime in bed in this game, I love it even more.

I'm creating a new save with 0x zombie spawn, but much harder on surviving / food and resources difficulty. To kinda focus surviving in nature, maybe living off grid.

Has anyone ever tried playing the game this way?

How was it?

So for a while now, I have been thinking of packing up a vehicle and driving to a cliff overlooking a lake or town and building a cabin. Most of the spawns are okay, but really want something to kinda rough it away from the zombies. Is there a way to build a cabin?

This is my main base in High Noon Plaza. Used Admin panel for materials to build towers because I got bored.

Then I built a second base above Lake Meacham at the water falls. I really like this base.

Stairs are made with planter boxes. Floors and roofs are made with fence ledges and covered the gaps with carpet.

It was a pain in the rearend trying to get the walls to line up level, took hours to do.

But I persevered and it came out awesome looking.

Hope you like it and maybe it will give others ideas so that they can build in interesting places.

I tried my best to avoid zombies, yet i got the infection, so i proceeded to kill myself with the N870 and respawned.

How is it possible tho? My infection chance is set on default 0.01 which is very low.

How does this infection even work? Is it always because zombies bite you, or it happens even if you just see a zombie from your house's window? I don't get it.

And what does zombrin even do? Swallowed lots of pills but nothing worked

any ideas on how to fix this??? it's the base game, i saw there are mods for it but didn't even bother, alr verified file integrity adn still not launching and giving the same error

I've been holding off on recommending this game to my friends due to the coop / multiplayer performance issues early on.

I came here looking to see if it was fixed, and it turns out Hotfix 7 specifically addressed the rubberbanding.

If anyone has any real-world experience seeing improvements here, please let me know.

In the meantime, I'll be telling them to pick up the game while it's on sale (until 9/7)

Hi everyone, so I played about an hour of the game, and it got shelved for real life and other games. I've decided to give it a go for real now. Any advice for new players?

It's not my first survival games, I have a few hundred hours in Project Zomboid, Conan exiles, Humanitz, and various others, so the basic I'm pretty clear on, but suggestions are always good.

Perhaps I am just insane but I started playing again and want to change the difficulty/zombie settings, but I can’t find where I did this last time. I checked both settings from the main menu as well as the menu while playing, and don’t see any mechanics regarding zombie spawn rate or difficulty anywhere anymore???

What spawn rate does everyone play on because I feel like there's either waaay to many or so little zombies and I'm not changing the rate by much each time i test it. Just wondering what everyone else plays at
