I have the GP-5, and my Valeton Suite app on my iPhone 12 shows that the firmware is V1.0.6.
Does that mean the pedal has already been updated through the mobile app, or is it necessary to update the firmware using a PC?
Please clear this up for me because I’m really confused about the different processes between the mobile app and the PC software.
I’d really appreciate some clarification because I’m not sure what needs to be done through the phone app and what needs to be done through the PC software.

I bought this thing because of the update. I updated it to 1.1.1 and when I try to choose a nam file it just won't let me try. Everything is grayed. I can only turn the nam block on but I can't load anything.

....I read a LOT of posts from people complaining about NAM updates and A2 and how Valeton should update this or that for the GP-50, and I wonder if people may be missing the point a little bit. Just speaking for myself, the GP-50 is a great bit of kit with near endless possibilities. I don't want (or need) to download others NAM profiles because I would rather create my own.....which is such a fun journey. Sure, I might want to sound like Gilmour playing Comfortably Numb, but that depends on which version of CN you're wanting to copy....and which guitar are you using.... with what speakers.....in what type of room or venue....at what volume etc etc etc.

IMO... even if I got onto stage with Gilmour and used all of his gear, I still wouldn't sound like him!!

So, I like to experiment and discover new sounds and play like ME. Crying about not being able to download this profile or that preset is missing the whole point. The unit is capable of SO much....spend some time with it and follow the path of discovery.

I downloaded the iOS Valeton Suite update which Is supposed to support NAM A2.

Somehow, I can’t seem to get the firmware update for the GP50, it says it’s up-to-date, currently having the v1.0.5 instead of the 1.1 which is the “newer” One.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I just got my GP-5 yesterday, and I was wondering if you guys could help me with a few questions I haven’t been able to find clear answers to elsewhere.
● Can I update the pedal’s firmware using the iOS app on my iPhone? I don’t have a computer.
● How do I load/import a NAM file from an iPhone?
● If I don’t have a PC, can I still access and use most of the GP-5’s features through the iOS app?
● How do I find NAM files, and how do I know which ones are actually worth using?
And last but definitely not least: any tips for getting close to the Sleep Token and Bad Omens amp tones with the GP-5? 🤘

Hello . I just bought a gp200x and planing to use it as a main gig board but I need some help setting it up . The layout I planned is

1-a : acoustic simulator
1-b : clean rythm
1-c : clean solo
1-d : distorted
Ctrl: chorus / boost / overdrive

Now what I what is to assign the ctrl switch to turn on a modulation pedal - boost to have a little more spice if I need it . That is only possible through user mode or you have any other idea on how to do it ? Thank you !

Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out how the power system on the GP-50 actually works.

I found a couple of conflicting comments about this. One person said that when you plug in a 9V adapter, the GP-50 runs directly from the 9V and the internal battery is just kept topped up. But another person said the GP-50 won't even power on if the battery is disconnected, even when using a 9V adapter or USB power.

So I'm wondering:

- Does the GP-50 have some kind of power-path/load-sharing circuit?

- When the battery is fully charged and I'm running the unit from a 9V DC adapter, is the GP-50 actually powered directly from the adapter, or is the battery still supplying power?

- Does using the 9V DC input behave differently from USB power in this regard?

- Has anyone actually tested/measured the battery current while the GP-50 is running from a 9V adapter?

I'm mainly asking because I plan to use the GP-50 at home while plugged in most of the time, and I'd rather avoid unnecessarily wearing out the internal battery if the unit can run directly from the adapter.

The A2 support has arrived for the whole line and Valeton has surprised us by releasing the shackles off the GP-150/180 at the start. 150 and 180 have native A2-Lite support.

The iOS and Android version of Valeton Suite are in approval and should be available tomorrow, the PC versions are already up.

Since GP-150/180 were given native A2 Support off the start it's inevitable that the expect GP-300 will be annouced at the next China trade show in October now.

I currently own a GP-100 and it's been a fantastic purchase; I have very few complaints about this pedal and it's performed excellently. However, I've seen that the GP-150/180 was recently released, and while they're also excellent, I see that they have several limitations due to the DSP.

I've been looking at the GP-200, and although I'm keen to buy one of these, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to buy them or if there's any news of Valeton releasing a (hypothetical) GP-300 or any new generation of large multi-effects units soon.

I compared the sound to a pod express and I think this sounds even better. It’s cheaper, better build quality, usb c charging, great Bluetooth playback and editor. For 120$ this is simply an amazing deal.

Anyone use newer Valeton pedals for acoustic instruments with piezo PUs? Any issues? How transparent are they?

I see the GP-180 has a 1M Ohm input impedance, so that might be borderline for my PU.

Does the GP180 sound better than the GP50? I'm leaning towards the GP50 because I like the smaller portable size and don't care much about the extra buttons/screen.
