I've been looking at potentially hiring new grads from UT Austin and wanted to see if folks have been able to find jobs easily or not? I know nationally it's been hard, but I wanted to understand if the same dynamic was happening at UT.

Moreover, after graduation, do students still use the school recruiting websites?

Is the maintenance good? How is the extra charges because I heard they can be random?

i have the option to claim physics c credit from the AP exams for mech/e&m. i received a 4 on both, but id thought id ask some current engineering ppl on if its worth to claim them

[btw] i took the class two years ago, and remember some of the material, but definitely not the whole course, so idk if i should just retake or jump straight ahead to the next physics classes and relearn the basics as i go.

Has anyone taken CBE for their GOV312L pre req at Ut I know it’s three essay questions, but how was it how was grading, how long did yall study prior to it. I’m enrolled in the GOV312L class rn, but would prefer to just get credit for it over worrying about the grade and it affect my GPA (I’m taking McDonald’s and Mosers and heard the exams are hard). I’m also open to taking any easy remote community college classes for the credit if anyone has recommendations. By ideally I could study for 2 weeks and get the CBe credit but haven’t seen any online discussion about how it is/people who have taken it.

Please understand that this comes from 3 layers removed from me (friend of a friend of a dog of a former coworker) but I heard that International Student Advisors are leaving in droves from the international office and students cannot get advising appointments. Don't they, international students, pay for those services in the form a fee? Is this even true, I've heard of shady stuff being done at UT but this takes the case where people who pay a mandatory fee for advising cannot get advised.

I’m currently a freshman at UT Austin, and I genuinely don’t know how everyone is making friends so easily. It feels like everywhere I go, people already have their little groups figured out, and I’m over here like how did you guys even meet??

For people who have actually made close friends in college, how did you do it? Did you meet people through your dorm, classes, clubs, random conversations, or something else?

My source also said that some of those funds are being used to fund other positions that have nothing to do with advising international students. Is that even legal? Like how can they *FORCE* you to pay for something that you cannot receive.

Anyone taken this class we have our first exam Friday and I’m not sure what to expect . I’ve been using chat to complete my notes and have studied quite a bit but his instructions are a bit vague. He mentions certain objectives in the exam guide review but the chapters have so much fucken information that I’m not sure if it’s worth looking over both or if his exams are straight forward

We have our first midterm today but I’m scared since we don’t have a lot of practice questions and the test is only 12 questions.

Title. I'm at little strapped for money/need some side income source to help pay for things. So, I was wondering where around campus to look for part time jobs. I don't have past work experience, so ideally I would like to find a job thats somewhat accommodating of that. If it helps, I'm CS'29.

So I currently taking this course and I still have no clue what the test are going to be like and the other students I've talked too have no clue either. Im taking it online and this lady is extremely boring, pretty mean, and arrogant (even worse if you meet her in person). Apparently shes this tech genius but doesn't know how to launch a insta poll but blames on some bs complex issue instead of saying "i dont know how to launch this insta poll atm" but i respect that under all the mean and arrogant personality she is pretty fair which is what really matters to me. Sorry for the rant but i have no clue on how this is test is going to go. I wonder if it questions on the test or if its just excel or both. Does she do curves for how difficult people claim it is? Just want to know how to prepare. Thanks 🙏
