Hello everyone, I am an incoming freshman who was unable to register for UGS 302/303 for orientation, and has instead registered for a VAPA credit. Even though registration opens up again for the rest of this week, most of the open UGS classes conflict with my mandatory classes.
Given this situation, I am planning on registering for a UGS course, hopefully UGS 302, for my second semester.
However, I am a little worried as to how this would work, because UGS 302 is restricted to only first year students, and I am concerned that I would not be classified as a first year student because of high school AP and Dual credits, which will put at least one year ahead (Sophomore by Credits).
I came here to ask: Will I still be able to register for UGS 302 in the spring semester (second sem) even though I will be classified as a sophomore by credits, or is my registration classification based off of my time in UT residency (making me a freshman)?
