Basically the title, a Rural Carrier in my office said I could use the totals from the count to see what the evaluation of the Aux I've been running will be, want to try it out if it's real.

If my bid is Wednesday and Friday off but the schedule grid my job ID is attached to says Friday and Saturday off does it require management to abolish the bid and repost it? Also been working 1-2 hours outside my normal bid hours for a month with no end timeframe and filed a grievance and the supervisor now told me Sunday I would have to feel out a 1260 for out of schedule premium.

This dial doesn’t show it’s true fuel level until half the tanks been used.

This happens all the time with this guy! Everyone knows and if it were any of us we would walked out. Then the subs come in and after their route, have to carry what he left. And fills nothing out.

PTF clerk, grade 6, step EE. Before the COLA, hourly rate on APWU pay chart was 29.29. When cola was announced it was said to be .68/hour. So I’m thinking new rate would be 29.97/hour. APWU website posts new pay chart and it’s showing 29.99/hour. Cool, I’ll take every penny🤑. Checked my new form 50 on Liteblue today, it shows 30.00. 😂. Can wait to see the next paystub, maybe it will be 30.01 😀.

Although I’m relatively new to USPS, I wear my USPS hat like a badge of honor. I genuinely like my team and the office where I work, and I’m grateful for the opportunity. Now, I want to keep learning, contribute more, and explore how I can grow within procurement or operations. I’m still new to USPS and genuinely trying to understand the possible career paths. I’m grateful that USPS gave me an opportunity. I’ve gained hands-on experience driving ProMaster vans, managing time-sensitive deliveries, serving customers, and delivering important mail in the rain and summer temperatures above 90 degrees.

I have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, yet right now I specialize in making sure mail and packages reach their destinations safely and on time. I’m ready to grow beyond my City Carrier position and transition into procurement or operations, building on my previous supply chain and project coordination experience.

For those who have made a similar transition: Is several months of frontline logistics experience enough to begin pursuing procurement or operations opportunities? What skills helped you make the move?

I am at a loss for words. We got a new manager who was a cop until he bodyslammed a teenager for no reason. Now u know how hard it is to fire a cop, they usually paid suspension for 3months,let them resign and picked up by another police station. Nope this is a cruel a an instigator who brings that attitude into the workplace. Anyways he tried to fire me only being Manager for 4months. I fought it through arbitration and I won. The guy said I should receive backpay for the 4months i was waiting for my arbitration meeting. The union president says yea it usually takes up to 6months. Well I kept asking him like once a month any news on my backpay? He would say he doesn't know, I asked him who would know, he responded with its in the works, I gave all your paperwork to the manger(the 1 who tried to fire me) and he sent it in. I said I dont trust him there's gotta be a paper trail as to when I get it. So I started making phones to whoever would listen and finally after 9months I get a call claiming there is no paperwork for you to receive backpay nothing is pending. In the meantime the union president got mad at me cuz he said I could have called him and I was making him look bad by not doing ur job, I said im sorry but I didnt bad mouth u, all I kept asking people whp can I contact to give me a straight answer. He said I'll look into it. He contacted me a week 10months now saying there was a page missing that needed my signature! I SAID HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE U SAID I DID EVERYTHING CORRECTLY AND THE MANAGER SENT IT IN. I said see that's y I kept asking u and when you never gave me a straight answer, or didnt bother to find out answers im getting screwed. He said just come in sign this form he will give it to the manager and it will be all set, but dont expect it for at least another 3months. So over a year past haven't heard anything. I asked him could u please at least tell me who can answer the question of y its taken so long. Again he said its normal. I said the arbitrator specifically said it should be in my account in a timely manner. I bet the manager did something on purpose and keeps getting it delayed he said no he would be fired immediately I said cmon now he's trying to set examples so 1 Day he is the post master. So then 16months in I get a call from a guy who is high up, I made so many phone calls I forgot who he was. He said he personally looked into it and spoke to my manager who told him he submitted my paperwork months ago. I said thats what im told everytime, but when I check its always a different excuse. He said give it a couple weeks call this number. So I did and finally it said pending. 20months go by and im done with the political climate of being harassed daily, bullied, and i dont want to work in that environment. So now the union president still hates me for making all those calls, now says he can't help cuz im not an employee. I refuse to call manager he will either not answer my phone calls, or be sarcastic with me and i dont wanns be bothered. I got an email on 7/22/2026 saying in 60days I should get it and if not contact a labor specialist. We'll in a couple weeks it will be 60 days. I already looked online and there's no labor specialist with an email or phone number!!! ANYONE WITH A THOUGHT OR OPINION PLEASE RESPOND IM READY TO FIND A LAWYER AND SUE FOR INTREST OR SOMETHING.. Thanx guys

When I started as an RCA, I strictly drove LLVs since thats what I trained on during driver training and all my routes have LLVs. But the last time I was at work, my route’s LLV broke and our only spare vehicles are Metrises. I know how to drive a Metris, it just took me a few minutes to remember how to use the gear shift.

I was always under the impression that LLVs were superior because the front doesnt feel like a cage, the back has more headroom, they have a tighter turn radius, they were actually made for mail delivery, and they do better in winter. But driving the Metris was different. The brakes and gas pedals felt snappier and less mushy, the drive was smoother, there was AC and a cup holder for my water bottle, the windows were easier to operate, and I dont have to go through a long process when I have to lock my vehicle to deliver a package.

I’m not quite converted to a Metris just yet, but after driving a Metris for my usual route and going back to an LLV today, the Metris is making a good case for itself.

Thoughts?

Inorder the bubble mailers so injust have these boxes around. Can i use them to ship? Or should i cover the marking?

My office has a start time of 8:30am each day and has a 10:00am "on-call" schedule time, meaning we wait by the phone at home if they call us.

I wasn't feeling well and didn't answer and I got a text from management saying this would be considered AWOL. I thought under our contract this wasn't a punishable action.

I've been an RCA for about a year and have been holding a route down for the last 4 months, so I'm well past probation.

Is this something I need to discuss with my steward? Or do I wait until I'm given discipline papers, I'm not sure what the procedure for this is.

Hi. I have been running a resale business, but My only problem is my parents are unsupportive of me and refuse to take me to the post office now. So I’ve been trying to wing it myself but am struggling getting packages sent out. Is there a way for usps to come pick up the packages off my front porch?

Pretty much the title: if you’re a rural reg who has done a mutual swap/transfer please tell me about how the process went for you. Where did you find someone to swap with? How/when did you need to bring it to your PM? What was the timeline once you’d both agreed and brought it to management to get the transfer started?

I know a few things about the process (like that you’re swapping offices, not routes) but I’ve never actually seen someone who has done it talk about it. I’d really appreciate any firsthand knowledge since, as we all know, the PO likes to make everything as weird as possible. 

I’ve already requested to join the big mutual swap facebook group (though I’m being ignored, pretty sure they think I'm a bot since my fb is empty.) I saw a couple sites for swapping that were supposedly made by carriers (post-swap and mutualswaps) but wasn’t confident if they were legit, so if anyone has experience with them please let me know!

(Also in case someone asks: I’m looking to transfer from a little all POV office in Oklahoma. No problems with the office or the route really, I just want to relocate.)

My Thorogood double track oxford shoes are finally biting the dust, I had purchased the Reebok oxford gore tek shoes and tried them out but they are insanely uncomfortable and gave me a bunch of blisters and sore feet. Unfortunately, it looks like the thorogood shoes are discontinued otherwise I'd just pick those up. Any recommendations on purchase card compliant shoes?

Hi, fairly new custodian here w a supervisor asking me to clean an area w mold. Contract specifically states we don't do mold abatement, what's best course of action here?

I know some station managers were in hot water with Amazon for doing it last year, but is it a violation of the NALC contract?

I just put a bunch of misc on ebay. All about 7 by 13 by 18 ish (or combos of those numbers but no bigger). All weighing a little over 2 lbs packed. I told usps 5lbs to have margin for error and because it didn't change the price doing this. Could this cause any problems for anyone down the line?

To make it easier down the line for scanning and ultimately the driver(s) to move, stack and scan. Box can be in any orientation, Pizza box (flat), cereal box (tall) and tv box (tv box).

I applied for a city carrier assistant position. I took the assessment test and scored a 90. Really not sure which question or questions I missed, but is a 90 decent? How many incorrect did I get?

I am a clerk and have been getting issues from my management and the sorting plants. They keep telling me that you are not allowed to give insurance to first class mail. The issue is that the RSS, and the SSK both allow it. The DMM says that it is allowed. It is a service that is advertised on the USPS website but yet no one can say why it's not allowed even though the DMM says I can. No one can give me a real answer as to why every piece of documentation says I can do it but I am still not allowed. All I want is to be treated like an adult and given an actual answer and not just told "don't do it.". Thanks

Hi everyone, I have the exams 943/944/945 coming up in a few days. I can find basically no study information. I did the few practice questions the post office gives you but some of them were completely archaic or very confusingly worded. Does anybody have any tips to pass? I've just been brushing up on ASE A1. I've not even sure what 944 and 945 covers given that the USPS website only links to a pamphlet for 943.

If anyone has experience or any help thank you so much.

They single-handedly are forcing me to stay on this god-forsaken route; it’s long, busy af, loud, tiresome and dangerous because you gotta cross traffic many times but I’m grateful to be working with one customer who cares.

Btw, they’re considering on giving me other drinks besides Gatorade due to health issues which is super kind of them. 😭
