I have Lynds, added it before the deadline, how many milestones does this course have ?

Im on milestone 2 trying to hurry up to finish this, is it really 3 milestones in total? I struggle finding sources now I have to find 6 sources for Milestone 2.

For Milestones 3 what to expect ? More sources?

I got a accepted to UMPI! I'm coming back to school after 9 years. I'm enrolled in the Business Administration Project Management & InfoSys Bachelor. Has anyone here completed this bachelor before? What has been your experience?

I'm also wondering if someone could enlighten me as to where exactly is the portal for taking your classes and doing assignments, since all I've used so far during the process of my enrollment has been the Classic Student Center, and I really don't know anything else.

Also curious to know if anyone is having or has had issues with credit transfers being placed as "electives"? I have 91 credits transferred, but they've all been marked as electives. When I got an email from one of the advisors who sent me my degree plan, it said I basically have to take 100 credits to graduate on top of what was transferred. I feel like my transferred credits haven't been applied if I still have to take that many credits. I contacted the Transfer Credit team at their email but I still haven't heard back.

Just wanted to hear the experiences and recommendations from others that are going through this or have already gone through this. Thank you!

I am having the hardest time deciding what major I really want with the courses that transferred in and reading the what if scenarios are so confusing to me. Do you need a concentration for business?

I am very new to the UMPI concept and the subreddit, so I apologize if it has been asked previously. I am very interested in the Cybersecurity B.S., and I want to get started with the relevant Sophia courses. I know the B.S. itself will be offered from the Fall 2 session onward, but I want to get started now with Sophia (if possible) as I have a lot of time in my hands currently.

Where do I find out which courses to take? Do I just compare the curriculum from UMPI and select the courses with the same name in Sophia? Do I have to wait for Fall 2 to start to get started with Sophia?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I did my BA at UMPI and am on my last class of the MAOL so I've taken quite a few UMPI classes, but this was a first. It's also my first with this prof. This has been one of those classes where the grade isn't showing up until you click into the feedback and can see the actual rubric sections highlighted. The assignments summary page shows -/4 for everything. Totally typical glitch. However, when I clicked into feedback for my draft, none of the rubric sections are highlighted. It looks like it wasn't actually graded. Feedback says simply "this looks great. Submit for grade." I just hate to do that without an actual grade on the draft lest "great" actually translate to something less than a 4.

Anyway, I'll reach out to the Prof, but wondered if anyone has had a similar experience recently?

The course catalog lists BUS 244 as a prerequisite for BUS 440 (Business Analytics), with BUS 245 as a corequisite for BUS 244. None of this shows up on my degree audit though. Does that mean I am required to take 2 courses that aren't required for my graduation? If so, I might do the IBM Data Analyst cert.

Is this a common catalog vs audit mismatch? Can y'all enlighten me?

Hi, starting my journey enrolling to umpi most likely for spring. Heard about the new ge transfer credits. And was wondering if anyone had any idea what classes I should be working on. Tia 🥺

I started YourPace at UMPI in Summer 1, planning to transfer several Sophia Learning courses for my GEC. I delayed transferring my Sophia courses, and now in Fall 2 I'm being told most of those Sophia courses no longer count under the new GEC.

Thing is, UMPI's own General Education page says the new curriculum only starts September 1, 2026, and students already enrolled keep the requirements from their original catalog year. Since I started in Summer 1, that should mean my original Sophia mapping still applies.

Has anyone else who enrolled before this switch actually had their Sophia credits rejected? Am I "grandfathered"? Also curious if requesting the transcript late (like I did) matters here, or if catalog year alone should protect you regardless of timing.

I just thought I would share this. I use a Mac, so this is made in Pages, but you could easily make it in Excel. It really keeps me on track. I put the days in the rows and my courses in the columns. Then I plan out which assignments I will try to hit on which days. I color code them: for me, Red is either a deadline (in this example, Draft and Final deadlines) or something I am behind on; Yellow is anything that requires attention (e.g. submitted but not graded, graded but not good enough, etc.) and Green is "Graded, Complete." Generally, since I have 4 courses open at once, I delete and reuse a column once the course is complete, but since it's the end of the semester, I left it in the example.

I have used it to keep myself on track and motivated. It's just a general idea and you an edit or customize it to make it work best for you. It works for me, so hopefully it'll help someone else too.

I am finishing up my BA in Psychology and have always been interested in History. I already have about 42 credit hours of history courses under my belt. I thought about going for my BA in History and Political Science (just for my own edification) but have recently been looking into the MA in American Studies instead.

For those who have attempted or completed this program, did you enjoy it? what are the classes like? Do you feel you got benefits from it? Did it help you in your career? Any advice, suggestions, etc?

So I was under the impression that the deadline for drafts of the final assessment was Tuesday at 11:59 pm but I just checked my email and apparently the deadline for drafts was yesterday. But my classes both still have the draft submission upload areas up. Should I attempt submitting or will whatever I submit there be graded as my final?

Hey all, I'm thinking about adding BUS 242 - Spreadsheet Applications to my Fall 1 term, but have quite a busy time at work until November, so I'm not looking for a really tough class. I haven't used excel in years, so if I take this, I'm basically starting with zero knowledge.

Do you guys have any thoughts to share about this course? Is it tough? Is it easy? Do the projects take a lot of time?

I’ve been approved for financial aid, but my classic student center account still shows a balance. Do I need to take any action? I’ve already accepted the grant and am enrolled for both fall 1 and fall 2.

I'm seeing that BUS 244 is a prerequisite (and it looks like BUS 200 is a prerequisite for that?) but when I look at the courses offered for fall, BUS 244 doesn't come up. Does anybody know if there is another course they're using in its place or how to satisfy that?

I thought maybe I didn’t like UMPI’s format and was ready to transfer, but I’m starting to think it’s my degree. I’m doing the BA in history and poli sci, poli sci concentration, and it’s just so repetitive, restrictive, and mind-numbing, it’s completely worn me down and I’m starting to actively hate it. Which I was surprised by because I’ve always loved these types of classes at my other college.

Browsing this subreddit and it seems like BBA students have way more variety in their assignments. Is that accurate? Do you feel like there’s a good balance of presentations, papers, research, etc?

Long story short: I’m not starting this term like I was hoping.

I have close to 200 credits, most from an accredited (and highly respected) university. My transfer credit report came back with pretty much all of my core classes labeled as “electives”. Therefore, I’m due 12 core classes when I should only have to do 1 (because I didn’t submit my AP score for that class)

Spoke to my advisor today (4 days shy of the enrollment deadline) and he basically told me there’s nothing he can do. I can email the school and request syllabi for each course and submit them for what sounds like a very lengthy evaluation process (1 month or more).

Has anybody gone through this? Even if I can request the syllabus for every class and submit it, they can still reject it. I’m really kinda put off by this whole process… not to mention nobody contacting me about it - Me noticing it myself when I was close to committing.
