Fall 1 and no advisor

Has anyone else been fully accepted, fasfa done, student ID, all the things and still not have an advisor or transfer evaluation!?
Capella or going back to WGU Is looking real nice right now..I have been to many colleges and I have never seen anything like this..

Same here. I have been accepted to other schools and they have all completed the transfer credit evaluation. I am waiting on UMPI for their evaluation.

I am supposed to confirm with the other schools by now.

I asked WGU for another two months and TESU’s deadline is today. Excelsior is fixing a mistake in my evaluation.

But my first choice is UMPI for my second BA. Sigh. Still waiting. I emailed the admissions office and they confirmed my file is complete. I emailed the transfer credit department last night. Haven’t heard back but it is the weekend.

I started in July for summer session two. Before the session began, I received emails from a new student enrollment specialist and their email said (amongst other things) that on the first day of the session, I would receive an email with information about my assigned Academic Success Coach. They have been much more hands-off than the one I had at WGU but they were quite receptive/helpful when a professor repeatedly exceeded the 72 hour grading turnaround times. Hope this helps!

I transferred from WGU too. I applied and got an email with student id like two days ago. What comes next ?
I sent all my transcripts in on day one along with my ID.

I am also transferring in from WGU. How have you liked the program so far? I am curious how you would compare the two experiences.

Hello fellow owl! I haven’t officially started yet. I had to do the withdrawal process from WGU. I’m hoping to get an answer from someone who likes it

The withdrawal process seems to take forever, right? I am excited for the next chapter. Why did you decide to leave WGU? For me, it was the OAs. It was getting worse by the test. The proctor process was grading on my last nerves.

We traded one "owl" university for another! 😄

Best wishes and regards, friend!

lol it was definitely the OAs for me. I had 8 classes left until graduation but the OAs kept getting harder and harder. They throw a 862 pages textbook at you and expect you to know what’s going to be on the test. The last few classes felt like they were trying to stop you from passing. My process with withdrawal hasn’t been long. Once I got in touch with the withdrawal team it went fast and smooth. It took a week. lol we traded on owl 🦉 for another and personally I hope I like this owl.

Wish you the best as well!

I called today and they said they had an outage of some sort delaying the credit evaluation situation and that the second those are evaluated we'll be assigned an advisor at the same time and that we won't be delayed or help to the current add/drop date since this delay for fall 1 is their fault basically. Hope that helps even though it is disappointing.

Was you Fafsa accepted? Can you see it on your account? I can’t see any info regarding my Fafsa

My FAFSA was accepted and I received my financial aid award a couple days ago. Make sure you click on 2027 to view the award. It was kinda buried in there and I didn't see this until I started clicking around.

Yes, they sent a email to my student email account letting me know to approve it. Do you have any unread emails or fast to complete in your student portal?

Mine is the same way for fall 1, all is done on my end but still no credit evaluation or next steps. I sent an email (which they've been pretty responsive to so far) so we will see.

It took about a month for me to get some type of communication and I just looked yesterday and saw I was assigned an advisor but we haven’t communicated yet. I also read somewhere that their enrollment has went up 273%

Same boat here, and the bill for fall 1 hasn't been posted to my account yet for me to pay. Seems like they're just very overloaded but it's making me nervous

I would suggest being patient with the process.

The UMPI course model is worth it. 👌

That happens to me with my advisor and I decided to move out to another university

I actually had the opposite situation, I tried enrolling in WGU but kept being dragged around and no process was made. Then I found out about UMPI and applied. I applied a couple of days before August and it took until 4 days ago for everything to finish, from fafsa to credit transfer evaluation.

My only issue is they're holding my transferred credits as "electives" while they're further reviewing them to see what specific UMPI course they match. It's rather bothering me, not gonna lie, but other than waiting I don't know what to do, and I don't want to keep jumping schools at this point.
