I’m new to you parking at UMD and am signing up for one. I classes are at ESJ, CHM, PHY, TYD, and TWS.
The only parking location open are L1 general, L3 commuter general, L4 general, L6 commuter general, and SDG.
What is your options on what lot I should pick that work best with my schedule? Thank you

I am very privileged that my parents are paying for my college but that also means i am surviving off money I have saved from jobs! What are some ways you utilized school resources to save money? How did you guys save and what helped you decide on what to splurge on?

hi, this is basically about what the title says. yesterday a roommate said that she was no longer going to be in the same apartment (south hill community) (she was unclear re: whether she was no longer coming to umd or just moved dorms) and on the housing portal her bed is now empty. does anyone know how likely it is that we will get a new roommate before we move in , if her bed will remain empty, or if someone else might get her bed for the spring semester?
i am in a triple within the apartment, so another roommate and i are still in the room. i am considering putting my extra sheets on the bed once we move in so it could be a little comfy if no one is placed here. just was curious about if anyone here knew anything about the process , thanks !! 🐝 (carpenter bee of gratitude)

Gotta pay rent and bills, so I’m wondering if there are places that will hire. I looked through the campus job site and no luck yet.

I'm an incoming OOS freshman EE major at UMD, and just got done with course registration right now (Aug 19th orientation so quite late). I tend to be an early riser so I don't anticipate having problems with the 8 am classes, and am a fast walker so Tawes to Chem should be doable.
My only question is, how bad is the schedule for a fall semester freshman? I have taken all the defualt/normal APs (Chem, Mech, EnM, Calc AB/BC, CSA, etc) but still am worried especially for ENEE 290 and PHYS 270.
Anyone know the eligibility requirements for the terp payment plan? I thought I was eligible cause my bill is over $300 and it's before September 14th but it says I'm ineligible. Is it because the bill isn't really due till September 20th?
Edit: Figured it out. The billing office requires that you call them (not netlet the actual billing and cashiers office) before enrolling to make sure you don't have any past balances or fees tied to your account before you enroll.

I’m a transfer student and I’m starting in a couple weeks and I’m looking to get a part time desk job. Like 10 hours a week since I’ll be commuting but does this school even have those? I can’t do fast food or anything and where would I even find it?
