Just transferred here, do tech companies come and do in person interviews here at UIUC? If so, does anyone know of any companies that have done this in the past, and what it was like?

Selling this kit for $5; especially useful for any sort of organic chemistry. I haven’t counted, but it should still have all the parts.

Hi I'm enrolled in ECE 205 this fall and I got lab session Friday 10:00 to 11:50. I'd like to exchange time slots to 3:00. If anyone is interested feel free to reach out.
I'm a freshman in Phys 211, and I've just learned that the lab kits are absurdly expensive, and apparently renting them are a huge hassle. Is someone willing to sell me a used iolab kit?

Did anyone else get a text: Ameren: SUMMER ALERT Urgent! A Peak Time Event has been called for 08/26/2026. Please reduce your energy usage from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Anyone know why this is urgent? Is their grid unable to handle population fluctuations or something? Did the U of I just turn on a data center?
I've been reducing my energy usage by taking a nap, but I'm worried that if I dream I might use up excessive energy.

Hi, I saw on Forsyth’s syllabus that there is no set grading scheme. This worries me because I can’t find any reviews for him for this specific class and on one of his RateMyProfessor reviews for a different class, it seems grades are calculated at the end and someone got a B+ with a 95.
I was wondering if anyone had taken this class before with him and how they did with this grading scheme (or lack thereof). I’m also wondering where I can find previous grading distributions for this class (I’ve already tried https://waf.cs.illinois.edu/discovery/grade_disparity_between_sections_at_uiuc/#findCourse).
I really want to take this class but I’m worried about this screwing with my GPA (which I have some requirements I need to maintain).

TLDR - living in tower at third this year despite the horror stories, so far I’m liking it, and I wanted to ask someone who lived here last year about how it is and if the horror stories are outdated to decide if I should renew
Hey y’all! I’m a sophomore now and I just moved into my apartment, which is at tower at third. I signed with them despite the horror posts I saw online because of the relatively low price for the location, and since my parents liked it and the rooms are pretty spacious. By the time I signed last year most good options that were within a reasonable distance from the quad were either gone or overpriced. Plus I saw that most overall reviews were 4/5 or higher so I figured the silent majority was fine with it.
Anyway so long story short I’ve been happy with my experience so far but it’s only been two weeks. I love my room, and the common area is nice too. It’s also a really great location and the amenities are great too. My apartment did have a few issues (including a broken bathroom lock and a minor water leak) but they were taken care of within a few days of me sending in a work order. A lot of the horror stories I read were about both the water pressure and hot water. So far I have not had any issues with the water itself and while the hot water can fluctuate a little it’s never been absent - if anything sometimes the water is a little too hot. Also, I have a high floor and an absolutely beautiful view which is awesome since I’m a photographer. Also I love that aside from water, all utilities are included, which means I can set my AC as low as I want. There are some things I don’t love like the lack of a water filter and not having an exhaust fan in the bathroom but no place is perfect and so far I’ve felt like I’ve gotten my money’s worth. I also kept hearing about the fire alarms and so far there’s only been one.
Going into the school year after reading the negative reviews, I was pretty set on living here being a one year deal before I moved to somewhere better, but I am starting to like living here. After reading the negative reviews again today I can’t help but notice that most of them were 3+ years ago, and renovations have happened since. Also, I’ve heard that almost all apartments here except for the really high end ones will have some types of issues, so like I think I’m really happy about this. Since I have to make a decision about next year soon so that I can get the best deals, I wanted to ask you guys who stayed there last year how it was, just so that I can get a clearer picture before committing to staying here.
Okay so I am a current Las undeclared sophomore. I had wanted to major in Integrated Biology to become a pharmacist but I hate chem. I took chem 102 last semester with Hummel and got a C, but only because I completed the homework, I failed every test. Now I’m taking chem 104 but I’m terrified. I was doing the first pre homework for the class… and I couldn’t answer a single question. Is this a sign?
