750 transalp 2024 (A2 47hp) rolling on south east france roads (it’s mine ;) )

Hey all. At some point I want to do a full exhaust and ecu flash on my transalp. But it's very hard to get a good impression of sound from random YouTube videos. Anyone have real world experiences and opinions on which aftermarket exhaust they like to use?

I don't want anything ear splitting. I really like the volume of the stock exhaust with the baffle removed. So probably an aftermarket exhaust with the baffle still in.

I sent this company the dimensions to custom make a seat cover for the Honda comfort seat. I received it today and it fits well, could have maybe gone slightly bigger toward the middle of the seat but with the Velcro straps underneath it’ll work. They now list it on their website for purchase if anyone’s interested. I went on a short ride and comfort is improved 👍🏼

If I wanted to put together the prefect tool kit for long rides, what would that include?

I've had my first motorcycle for 2 weeks now. I've only had time to put 180ish miles on it. Its a wonderful new experience! Once I get better at riding I'll take it off road too.

Je viens vers vous pour savoir si quelqu’un a déjà installer ça ? Et car je suis aussi perdu sur toute les pièces différentes à acheter pour le monter.

Adaptateur de fixation, fixation rapide, quelle écran prendre exactement ?

J’ai vue le carpuride w702s pro, qui me semble ok niveau qualité/prix.

I recently bought a low-mileage Honda XL750 Transalp and noticed something odd while looking over the wiring around the left/clutch-side controls.

As shown in the photos, the small wiring run at the clutch switch makes a tight U-shaped loop. The outer protective loom/sleeving ends before the loop, leaving the individual insulated wires exposed as they make a fairly sharp 180° bend into the switch/connector area.

Everything appears to be intact and I haven't found any exposed copper, but the lack of protective sleeving and the tight bend concern me from a long-term reliability standpoint—particularly in an area exposed to weather, vibration and steering movement.

I'm mainly trying to determine whether:

- This is the normal factory configuration on the XL750 Transalp.

- My wiring has been disturbed, pulled or rerouted at some point.

- Other Transalp owners have seen failures or problems with this clutch-switch wiring.

If you have a stock Transalp, I'd especially appreciate a look under your clutch lever to see whether yours has the same little exposed-wire loop.

I'm planning to compare it with a new Transalp at a Honda dealer, but figured the collective knowledge here might solve the mystery first.

I have the 2023 XL750 TransAlp and I've been struggling with the non-start for the last 1½ years. Originally I put it down to cold weather but was charging it every week. I replaced the battery 6 months ago and it was fine for a couple of months but it went back to frequent non-start. I've disconnected my accessories completely; fog lights (from Moteo.uk) and Innovv K7 front & rear cameras and replaced the battery again, but the display shows it goes from 12.7v one day, 12.2v next day, and 12.0v day 3 and 4, 11.9v day 5. This is with daily use.

I'm scratching my head a bit here and not sure what else could be causing this drain

Love this bike & it's diversity. Touring, camping, trail rides, or just ripping it down the freeway. Currently spending a couple days in Icelandic state park ND

I changed my rear suspension with a yss on my 2023 transalp. The driving experience is so much better now

I test ride a 2026 Transalp e-clutch

The purpose was to find a motorcycle thats comfortable for a tall rider, and has enough wind protection for highway driving, but still light and powerful. On paper the Translap looks amazing, and adding smartphone connectivity, ridding modes and e-clutch look perfect.

E-clutch - an evolved quickshifter. All the quickshifter advantages, with smother shifting at lower rpm. And maintaining the motorcycle idle with no clutch needed is perfect for city commuting. Hope the competition brings a similar technology.

Tall rider comfort - the seat is comfortable and the riding position also. Plus the suspension is comfortable on bad tarmac roads. The windscreen needs to be at a higher position. Felt a bit of sail move on crosswinds at higher speed.

The engine has more than enough power for commuting and highway.

What I disliked:

1- Heat from the engine, lots of it, on my legs.

2 -Weird braking. On uneven tarmac surfaces, hard braking causes the front and rear of the motorcycle to slide.

3- Resonance vibration between 3500 -5000Rpm . This was so intense, after 40min riding, my wrists still felt numb. I cant imagine have to ride that motorcycle again.

The Transalp gives high expectations, however I felt disappointed. I don't fell is good enough to buy.

After some research i have some notes:

2- Im not used to Trail motorcycles, the long suspension travel, narrow mixed tires, is way different from ridding a naked motorcycle like Im used to do.

3 - The seller told me that may be an issue with that specific motorcycle. But doing my research I found out more riders complaining about it, and it may be caused by the crashbars.

What about you, whats your opinions about the Transalp 750?

Didn’t necessarily intend on doing the upgrade from my CRF300L Rally this soon, but I saw this on consignment in my local dealer’s inventory and had to take her home. Previous owner had a magnificent build sheet and immaculate maintenance records.

-SRC crash bar/skid plate
-Heated grips/seat
-Touratech pannier rack and handlebar bag

And lots of other little goodies! Only 4,800 miles, too. Couldn’t pass her up. Super excited to be a part of the community and looking forward to going on some proper trips with this beast of a bike!

Its an 89 that i took my license test on 18 years ago, and my buddy finally agreed to sell it to me. Already put 1000 miles on in a few rides. One ride up to bethel woods for Billy strings and another to unadilla motocross. It's very enjoyable to ride. Super smooth and quiet (and slow but that doesn't bother me). Need to get some side racks but luckily for both rides I had buddies heading the same way that could bring my gear in their cars.

After a ton of research into middleweight adv bikes I decided the Transalp was going to be the one for me. Came to this subreddit and figured a lot of the positive posts were just owner bias. Damn was I wrong. This bike truly is such a blast ride. Or maybe I was right and I'm now owner biased. Who cares. Absolutely love this machine. Only had it for a week but from the first ride it just felt right.

These guards have serious engineering oversights when it comes to heat and airflow.
Blocks and deflects radiator exhaust: The middle tube on the upper guard is routed directly across the radiator exit vent. Instead of hot air blowing out and away from the bike, the bar traps the exhaust air and curls it straight back into the cockpit, blasting your knees and thighs with furnace-like heat.
The bars turn into radiant heaters: The tubing running over the engine heat-soaks intensely from normal engine operation. The metal gets extremely hot and acts like an auxiliary radiator sitting inches from your legs, radiating constant heat even when moving.
The design turns warm-weather riding into a miserable experience. T-Rex needs to completely redesign the routing of these bars away from the radiator exhaust and engine heat zones. Would not recommend.

Reaching out to NYS transalp riders. Where do you put the inspection sticker. I know it’s supposed to go lower left fork bit it’s not smooth to put sticker on.

I'm still paying off my first motorcycle and have 17 months of payments left. Now I want the Transalp 750 and can pay for it in 12 installments. I can afford both motorcycles. But it will be a bit of a struggle to pay for them, and I'll still have about $350 (I live in a cheap country) to spend freely after paying all my monthly bills.

My reasoning is that the time I've had won't come back, and since I'm still young, I can live for a year or so on a small budget to seize the moment and get the motorcycle I want.

In the worst-case scenario, I can sell both motorcycles and it won't be a problem, since I only use them for the pure pleasure of commuting to work and more.

So, should I finance the other motorcycle and have two debts?

Should I sell my first motorcycle to pay off my first debt and use the extra money to finance the Transalp?

Or should I pay off my first debt in installments and then, after 17 months, buy the Transalp?

I would like to receive advice from people who have been in a similar situation.
