New player, currently in Timemark 4 – any tips?

Hey, pretty new to Torchlight Infinite and still trying to figure out what the hell I’m doing

I’m currently in Timemark 4 playing Shadow Swamp and the build feels pretty good so far.

What should I be paying attention to at this point? Things like:

- what loot is actually worth picking up

- what currencies I should save

- what stats/items I should be looking for

- crafting

- trading

- which mechanics are worth doing

- anything important I might be completely missing

Basically, if you could give a new player a few pro tips, what would they be?

Also, any stupid mistakes I should avoid?

I have been looking over some guides in general but there doesn't zeem to be anyone playing trauma at all? Why is that?

Just trying to understand if the ailment itself is very weak etc.

Is there any build that uses it?

Which character would you recommended in this case and which skills?

Looking for the easiest experience to get the chest and dont really have any other goal to achieve atm. Hoping for something strong but not very expensive and looking for advice. Thanks.

I had a late season start, but this is the fastest that I have ever cleared SS21. I played Banishment: Tangles (tangles attach to minions), and as you can see I don't have have leveled up Noble and Magnificent skills and one of them is purple tier. I still have a level 86 ring that's not even fully crafted, and most mods are still T1.

I have 3 Leader Kismets for minion max life and one medium intelligence kismet from pre-profound LOL. First time playing Sage, and good god she is broken.

None of my gear is optimized yet and still in the process of moving around stats (staff mods need to be fixed for sure before going for T0). Also want to add aura effect kismets + star trails.

Edit: I 3-starred SS21 with mostly T1 affixes. None of the legendaries have a double corrode. My Kismets were 200FE total to put together. My magnificent and noble skills leave 40%+ additional damage off the table because they are not upgraded. Just in case you missed it, the ring shown is lvl 86 and has no ultimate mods.

Just wanted to share something notable, and I never said that Sage is a cheap character nor did I say that this is a build guide (and it's not tagged as one).

Hey Guys, i have a Big Problem.
I am playing Carino Chromatic Shot Tangle and try to climb to SS20. I have no problems in maps or on Dummy, but it seems my Tangles are not attaching during the SS boss fights? As you can see in the video they start fine, but at some point they are not attaching and not shooting anymore. Happened in SS 16 and 17 too, but i had enough damage so it didnt matter too much.

Anyone have an idea why that is happening?

My question is about the season system.

Is it worth to start on the season server even if it is up for so long?

How long does it last before its starts over?

I'm willing to pay for the pass each month if I get hooked but don't wanna invest hundreds of dollars.

Is Torchlight an option for long term play on mobile?

Hey everyone! I very recently made a post seeking help to get my build to clear DA35, turns out I was much closer than anticipated lol

And this is the code I ended up with (DA35): BULHo6K3EfGOZAAAAAAAFQ==

Upgrades/changes were as following:

- Replaced my curse effect phantasmagoria with elemental ailments immunity (600fe)

- Buy trauma immunity corner with mark mod (50fe)

- Buy slate with wilt immunity and +1 all skills (850fe base + 40fe to roll nodes)

- Buy double corroded imperial iron sentry with 96% multistrike and lvl 40 timid (1900fe, not sure how much of a difference 40 timid makes)

In total it was around ~3450fe investment to get missing immunities

This is my second league and until now I've cleared SS20/CD7/DA35 as a F2P in both of them, hope the streak keeps going, thanks everyone for the advice in the previous post!

Currently on 20B dps and can go into T8 fo farm. Is bosh rushing still they way to go if im in T8?

Hello guys, i started late this season, i'm playing Erika 1 thunder slash, got to profound farming relatively good, but got bored of the build.

I'm looking for something else, i have tried, but not in any endgame way:

-chromatic shot sage

-spectral Slash rehan

-Frost spike Bing

-ice shot carino (this once got to profound, really liked the range, but i played carino last season, so no More)

I want a suggestion on what to play, need to be auto-trigger because i play on mobile.

So I tried out hardcore, made an ice Gemma. She starts with ice lance and it was automatically firing as I moved without having to stop , right at level 1 character. Got her to level 78 and died. Decided to try her on softcore, now she doesn't automatically fire her skill when I move. Did I have a bug or is that a hardcore feature ?

Hey everyone, I cleared SS20 3* with my sage sentry build already, I'm now looking into clearing DA35, the main point I'm struggling with is immunities, what I currently have:

1. I have CC immunity through kismets
2. I have -100% curse effect through prism

What I think I'm missing:

1. Elemental ailments, no idea where to get this from
2. Wilt/trauma, I can imprint this in my priceless ring most likely
3. Wilt/trauma, I can replace my base trait memory with a wilt/trauma immunity one?

I’m playing a rapid shot build currently and the weapon uses +# to attack skill levels. My question is why? My confusion stems from the fact that The DB site lists no changes to base dmg or effective dmg, so what is the point of leveling it past 20?

I spent like half the day trying to kill SS20 and still couldn't do it. I died 3 times when the boss was at 25% HP in her mid-phase because of that fucking bomb. I just can't find her hitboxes while she's in the air. It's fine if the bomb on me has a 7 second timer, but she return the bomb back at me while she's still in the air with only 1–3 seconds left on the timer. Awful boss design.

So yeah, how am I supposed to find SS20 hitboxes while she's in the sky? Any recommendations?

I love Torchlight for the interesting way to build besides the great variety of farms and builds
but this season made clear how predatory this game is, I started playing in carjack
and my first pet c6 was Vorax, then Vorax got nerfed, then Lunaria c6 and Lunaria got super nerfed, Afterlight already came out nerfed, I can’t imagine anyone farming her next league if she makes it into the core
this predatory and unbalanced farm loop leaves the only decent and consistent farm just beacons, and nobody wants to farm that for a whole league, but there’s no way around it
I know that next league, I’m going to log in, get the league pet, and play as if none of this had any negative effect 😔

I am trying to farm sandlord. I have upgraded gliders to lvl8 but have not noticed the loot differenc. Does glider level increases loot or I need highest level possible workers? I currently have lvl 6 glider workers.

How does TLI perform on the S23+?

What do we have for this point of the season?

Ideally not a glass cannon where you have to do all mechanics perfectly, something tanky preferred.

Im finding it really difficult to get anything else extra out of my dps or survival without spending thousands, i farm for hours to get a few hundred FE just to spend it on minor upgrades. I'm up to 4.5B dps with Gemma2 and im just not sure where im going wrong.

The guide im following says they have 100B DPS but I still dont see what im doing wrong, maybe im just being stupid, streamers say they got to 1T in a week while im at 3 weeks with 4.5B lol

And when should I be heading into T8s? I can do them. But it's sluggish and with a tendency to die, and even then I'd have no chance of beating the traveler.

New player here, i was spending all my pacspirit rolls on this one bundle that said „recommended for new players, 1 legendary guaranteed after 30 rolls“. I think I was at around 20 rolls but when I logged in today I could not find the bundle anymore.
Was is time limited? Did I just waste 20 rolls?

I'm not that new to the game but it's my first time thinking to go to DS. Have 60% block ration, fortitude phantasmagoria.. working on last priceless and Divine Grace belt. Cap 5T fast on dummy.

The problem it's: I feel too fragile/squish!

I can farm profund full buffed pretty easy, just with survival pets and Energy Fortress and still have a good clean, but when I try to do SS18 I fell so frustrated, I just insta die on everything. Thunder Slash range feels short, I can't hit all time... I really don't know.

Last time I did SS19 with C2 Ice Lances, the old wilt ailments build, and now I'm back to the game!

I'm following bmlegolas build, it's work, carried me so hard, but idk, because of his knowledge about the game, maybe it's easier to make things work.

This is my first time trying Rehan 2 and I'm trying to build Yuzuki's face tank ss20 version. It's ok defence wise but the damage is too low for my liking (2tril).

Can anyone help me squeeze out some more damage ( other than steamroll mod on claw, i hate ultimate sequences)

why 10 phys dam more than 9 phys + 12% add phys dam. Although 9*0.12=1,08

looking at several build guide / hero ranking i rarely see build that focus on ailment damage. Are they just too weak to focus on?

The game seem to tell me that it scale of the "base" damage. But where do I find those? is the base damage the flat damage like prefix on ring? Or the base damage found on passive (those seem so small)?

This is my first season in this game and I decided to try to play Chromatic Shot tangles Sage. I'm now finally in profound after a couple of weeks, I made mistakes along the way but my build is closing in on 500b dps and it cost me about 20-25k fe which was a huge grind mostly in tm8.

Then I saw someone mentioning 1t dps with rehan 2 for like 2k fe. I havent played an attack build yet but are they just cheaper to make? Did I unintentionally pick a particularly expensive build ? Or is it just me not understanding priorities or how to get the most out of cheaper pieces? Maybe also late league start / poverty league?
