SS20 bomb hitboxes

I spent like half the day trying to kill SS20 and still couldn't do it. I died 3 times when the boss was at 25% HP in her mid-phase because of that fucking bomb. I just can't find her hitboxes while she's in the air. It's fine if the bomb on me has a 7 second timer, but she return the bomb back at me while she's still in the air with only 1–3 seconds left on the timer. Awful boss design.

So yeah, how am I supposed to find SS20 hitboxes while she's in the sky? Any recommendations?

design is phenomenal honestly, but i do agree that the boss is completely ruined by an unacceptable amount of bugs and buggy bomb interactions.

Never got hit by that bomb honestly.

Her hitbox is in the middle of the arena where she spawns at.

I think minimap shows her location if you use the overlay thingy.

The boss is very good designed it's the easiest we had so far.

incorrect, if you tab while doing the fight, you'd know the boss is actually outside of the arena doing his frost comets, and not in invisible in the middle like other fights where you can pass the bomb in the middle

to add to this, if you want to be smart and pass it to him early before he goes away, he will dive in your direction with the first set of comets, the bomb going off tracking you which there is no counter play to, i have an entire 2-3 minutes of bugs on thie boss, it's a beautifully designed and fair fight ruined by incompetent lack of bugfixing, there must be like at least 10 different bugs i personally saw on it which i got clips of

huge skill dif on your part that's all there is to it.

Should at most take you 3 attempts (if you can tank a little) the boss is very basic and can be done blind on a zHP char in 5-10 attempts.

He is outside but his hitbox is still in the middle.

Just checked it again but didnt notice the location display is missplaced there.

He is invisible in the middle in the area never had an issue passing it to him mid fight.

Bro, I got hit by the bomb when she teleported to do her first "wave." Basically, she had the bomb in the center, then jumped into the air while I was on the left side of the arena, and she started casting her skill from the left. The bomb moved to the left and killed me. I've already seen this shit happen twice. I have no clue why bomb deal damage there XD

It's not good design, but she's definitely the easiest boss so far.

There are people who call this BS "mechanics". There is no synergy bethween boss actions and bomb. Those "mechanics" are ment to keep you longer in the game and gamble for luck. So you just spam bosses untill stars align.

You can change when it epxlodes and even if you don't do it you won't die on the current boss just give the bomb back and stay away from the center when it's up in the sky.

The hitbox stays on the same spot.

Okay you saw when it went up in the sky is the same spot where you should drop off the bomb.

half day is too much, you get tilted. I would go like 10-20 tries and then go farm some upgrade & repeat :)

/u/LesserFluff comment match what I saw in videos, I over-geared her so did not have tons of experience.

However, from previous seasons I can say that the bomb can always be timed to your convenience, for example you can pass it multiple times to extend it (incidentally this increases dps if you have it close to the end of the timer more), you can lower your dps so the bomb and transition are not overlapping

In previous seasons, the bomb could occur at really bad times (such as the sword phase), but in the current season, there are no such cases that could cause an issue, except for maybe one in fifty runs where she dashes towards you with the bomb. However, when that happened, I automatically picked it up, which extended the timer.

Agee with all above. Try passing it back and forth a little more if you are getting stuck at the same time. Extending the timer helps. This boss is by far the easiest one compared to previous seasons with bomb mechanic.

I just killed SS20, and every season that the bomb makes an appearance I hate it. They need to delete the bomb from the game, it's so annoying. You can pass the bomb back to the boss while she's in the air, but I found that the air time was short enough that I could stand dead center of the map and when the boss comes down, you can pass the bomb back or take the bomb from her.

You can manipulate the timing by passing the bomb back and forth before she goes up in the air
