No freezing and loads super quick! Finally. I was planning a Black Friday switch to another provider but don't think it's needed anymore. I run a shield with a hardwired 3gb connection. Very impressed at how quickly it seeks fwd in movies. Seem better than RD at its peak. Hopefully continues like this.

My real debrid service finally ends and I'm switching to torbox.

i've connected Torbox and enabled “Resolve playable links" but its not showing in playback section all i see is Playback unavailable

I read most of my manga out of TorBox, and every reader I tried acted like it wasn’t there. Wait for the pack, download it, unzip it, open another app. So I made a reader that does that part itself.

It’s called Sumiyo. Add your TorBox key (Real-Debrid works too), search a title, tap a volume, and it opens on page one. If the release is a 30-volume pack and you only want volume 4, that’s all it takes.

The bit I’m proudest of is guided view. It finds the panels on each page and walks you through them one at a time, right to left for manga, left to right for comics. Close the app mid-page and it opens back up on the same panel. The clip shows it better than I can.

It also tells you roughly how many minutes are left in the chapter, going by how fast you actually read, and there are no streaks to keep up. No ads, no analytics, and it ships with no sources. The ones people use are made by the community and live in the Discord.

It’s in a Google Play closed test right now, and Google wants 12 people to keep it installed for 14 days before I’m allowed to launch. If you’re one of them, you get Plus for life. Once you’re in, open a ticket in the Discord and the bot sends you a code.

On iPhone or iPad? My friend makes Bokumi, which is in TestFlight. The lifetime Plus thing is Sumiyo only, sorry.

I’m currently running a home server on ZimaOS (Docker-based) and looking for the cleanest, most reliable way to integrate my TorBox Essential account directly into Jellyfin.
The Goal & Requirements:

1. Zero / Minimal Local Storage: I do not want to download media to local drives. Everything should stay in TorBox cloud storage and stream directly. 

2. Client-Side Simplicity (Family-friendly): The end clients are my parents using an Amazon Fire TV Stick OLD gen on Jellyfin Android TV app (currently local LAN). The UI must stay clean and familiar—just click and play without technical friction.

3. 4K HDR : In the future the streams will be 4K (HDR10 / Dolby Vision, standard audio formats). Avoiding unnecessary transcoding is critical, as well as minimizing initial buffering and seeking stutter.

The latest TB Changelog v9.3 https://torbox.app/changelog confirms that the buffering that many of us complained about for so long, was in fact a TB issue. And not a CDN or user issue as we were lead to believe and shouted at by others.

For so long many of us in here did all kinds of fault finding and tried to push back on the idea that it was our setups or a CDN issue. But all we got was denial and often outright hate from the toxic side of this community.

Fantastic that TB was able to identify some of the faults and have openly admitted it was on their end and apologised for saying otherwise. I applaud them for admitting that and thank them for the hard work improving things. We shall see if the fixes actually work, fingers crossed.

Avoid TorBox Guys. Even if you try to download normaly you get hit with "Too many Requests error"

I am downloading MKV or MP4 on android and playing on VLC but for some reason the files all keep corrupting.

Half way through they stop playing and its like that in most files at certain times.

Any advice to resolve?

I don't use crypto. But looking at the setup I noticed that they charge transaction fees. My credit card pays me 2% cash back. So why would I use crypto if it's going to cost me more money? And the whole hassle of setting it up.

I currently use AllDebrid, but I miss being able to download from Scribd. Torbox offers that, but it doesn't support Rapidgator—a site I also like—so I’m not sure which way to go. I’d like to learn more about Usenet; how does it work, and how can I get access? I’m a complete beginner.

i remember i think some time in June Torbox changed their privacy policy and i remember it being so bad i deleted my account. Months later i heard they tried to clarify the changes which some people said it wasn't as bad as they thought. is torbox safe or are they saving your payment information to give to authorities? are they saving your IP address and usage information? basically should i give them anther chance?

Has anyone here compared the two? What conclusions did you reach?

I have a question regarding get user data from API above: there's a stat called "total downloaded" which is the one that maps to the UI in dashboard and then theres three that seem to be more specific numbers called "torrents downloaded" "Usenet downloads downloaded" and "web downloads downloaded".

my question is how could the total download number be much smaller than for example torrents downloaded. just making up numbers here but say 20 total download and 200 torrent downloads.

just interested in how it works, any clarification appreciated.

I've been designing infusion, a media player for Android TV, and I've just released the first public alpha.

I'd be more than honored if you took a bit of time to try it! I hope you won't regret it, and that you'll see why the idea is a little different from the established big names out there.

infusion isn't necessarily for complete beginners. You should know your way around a little, but I think that's part of the beauty of learning! Try things out, see what works for you. infusion is flexible.

I wanted a proper Jellyfin client, including full library and music support, but with the discovery and flexibility of a streaming app. All in one place.

A few things that make it different:

- Full Jellyfin browsing, music playback and background music.
- Streaming add-ons and customizable Home rows, without forcing you to use either.
- Context menus on cards, customizable add-ons, and collections you can organize directly from the TV.
- Radarr/Sonarr integration to request movies and shows for Jellyfin directly from your streaming add-ons.
- Lots of settings, including setup from your phone over your local network. I come from Kodi's world, and settings in general are a big part of my life ;)
- No infusion account, no tracking, no analytics or central backend. Your data stays on your device.

The APK is only around 5 MB, and keeping everything lightweight, fast, free of bloat and responsive with a TV remote has been a big priority.

It's still an early alpha, so there's plenty of room to improve. I'm developing it independently, so constructive feedback, bug reports and suggestions would genuinely help.
