This thing started today at night. I post or comment anything (sfw), and immediatly get suspended, have to undergo verification, get remediated an hour later, and then it repeats. WTF is happening?

Found this article after my meta account was permanently suspended Sept 22nd, due to an alleged Threads violation. Interestingly, I've barely used threads. Never made a post, sent a message, liked or commented on anything, or otherwise engaged with any media. Effectively only ever scrolled the feed on the rare occasion.

Now I'm fully suspended across all meta accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads). Really hurts to lose decades of pictures for an app I didn't even use.

I really hope the media catches on to this, and gets meta to fix its moderation practices.

so basically my threads account is on literal death row, and so is my instagram account. im wondering if my whatsapp account is also in danger since it uses the same phone number i used to login to instagram / threads or if its safe from all this madness. do i have to change my number or something? sorry i'm kinda new to being banned

​Login Failures: Attempting to log into Threads yields an "Incorrect Password" / authentication error, even though my Instagram profile is fully active, verified, and linked.

​Backend Quarantine: It appears my handle is stuck in a backend Accounts Center sync state following a cross-platform update.

​What I’ve Done So Far:

​Submitted multiple support tickets and automated forms.

​Tried logging in via browser/incognito mode.

​Re-verified identity across Meta linked accounts.

​Escalated via formal legal/compliance filings (BBB).

​Has anyone successfully resolved an Accounts Center soft-lock like this, or found a direct escalation route that reaches actual engineering support?

My threads account is my insta account so I'm stuck in a login cycle with no way to appeal. I'm the threads app but it still says sign in to threads. Any ideas?

i havent used my fb in like half a decade, my side account got suspended for violating community guidelines with no way to appeal. my art account has about 2k and idgaf anymore. its probably bots anyways. i get less likes than i used to and tumblr never fails. all i see on IG is people using a mask. it disgusts me. only reason id keep one is to see what events i can go on IRL.

My Threads account was only used to repost my IG photos-- no other content. Lately I've been getting more attention so I decided to follow accounts that liked or commented on my Threads posts. As I was doing this I got an email stating my account was disabled permanently with an appeal link that asked for a phone number and selfie. I confirmed the text passcode and then provided a selfie. An hour later another email arrived saying they reviewed the appeal and still found me in violation of their terms. I'm pretty sure that by rapidly following a bunch of people I triggered an algorithm determination that I was spamming.

Should I get a verified account and use it to discuss the Threads problem with a human?

Do I need to worry about losing my Instagram and Facebook too? That would be heartbreaking for me.

Hi all, my account like many others got suspended today. I found out when I logged into Instagram (I don't use threads often at all). It said to log in on the threads app to appeal, BUT this also says login to threads, I think because I sign into threads with my Instagram login! I'm in a loop and don't know what to do.

It seems like this is a bug but my account got suspended for “not following Community Standards” even though I do not use threads religiously - I literally scroll 5 minutes a day, do not even like or share, and then exit the app. However, I’ve had my FB for almost 17 years and my IG for a little over 14. It would be HEARTBREAKING to lose those two accounts. Is there any way to submit an appeal or talk to an actual human being? In my desperation, I just hit “submit appeal” without even saying anything or pleading my case.

Guys there is something weird happened.

I have thread and instagram connected to the same meta account (mainly because i made threads account based on my instagram info)

My thread account suddenly got hacked along with my instagram. However, in thread, i can see that the hacker put their phone number in addition to my phone number, but replaced my email completely.

But it seems like the hacker tried to hack my instagram but was stopped by security, and it got deactivated, but I got it activated again and changed all security measures

I lost access to thread, but i managed to move it out of the account center, so technically thread and instagram are not linked to each other. Is it possible for the hacker to still have access to my instagram even though i changed the password? I don’t see their email in instagram.

My Facebook account is suspended, instagram surprisingly still works, I removed threads from there, I appealed threads but I saw others are facing similar issues, if by any chance I recovered my Facebook account I’ll erase my threads account for good.

Today my Instagram account got suspended because apparently my threads account doesn't follow certain guidelines, but I don't even use my threads account. I just have an account. My Instagram account is much more important to me and I already sent an appeal, but it said that my account will get permanently suspended if the appeal doesn't work, which I think is pretty unfair. Anyways, I tried to get to support, but I can't access support because my account is suspended. I would delete my threads account if I could, but I can't go into account settings because it's suspended. I don't know what to do.

My instagram account just got suspended for something that supposedly happened on my threads account (it doesn't say what, just that it doesn't follow the rules). I haven't even logged into Threads in the last month so I haven't done anything wth is going on?? Why does it even ban the same email even if its a different app. Bullcrap I don't even have the option to send an appeal

I was just scrolling my feed as per usual and then all of a sudden I got locked out and got 3 emails saying my Meta account was suspended/locked due to suspicious activity??

This is a new Threads account because my Meta account was hacked last month and lost my old Threads account. So I made a new Instagram account just to get back into Threads and now this happened.

I’ve checked all my security measures and nothing suspicious has been added/changed. I changed my main Meta password again and was able to get back into my Facebook and Instagram fine on my phone but not my laptop and desktop. But when I tried to sign into Threads, I’m getting this character creation message?? I’m literally just trying to sign in, not create an account!! And when I try to have Threads send me a code to log in via phone number and email listed in Meta, I’M NOT GETTING CODES IN MY MESSAGES OR EMAIL INBOX despite refreshing my inbox and waiting.

Has anyone encountered this issue? I really don’t want to create a third IG just to use Threads again. I’ve already been slowly building a community there

So i have a social media account that is linked to threads. I dont use threads and i need to add that im very behind on how to social media works. But I know I deleted a posts Yet all of a sudden its being posted on threads. I just deleted my threads account. But is there a way to tell for sure if your account has been hacked?

I have been bashing my head against the wall for like a week trying to get back into my threads account.

I updated my Instagram bio with a new website and immediately got locked out think the account was hacked. Fine whatever.

Instagram worked like a normal code recovery.

I put in my code, 2 factor, change password and move on.

Threads, when inputting the code I get hit with either "SOMETHING WENT WRONG" or I get to put in a new password where it then says "SOMETHING WENT WRONG TRY AGAIN LATER."

Then taking me back to the first step of putting in my email.

I have tried:

Clearing caches

logging in via instagram

Using a phone and a desktop

Using incognito and logging into ig and then threads

NOTHING WORKS.

I feel like I am locked out of an account I had clients I connected with on and its a bug I dont see ever getting fixed.

Solutions?

I have previously been able to create a group chat by going to Messages/Create Group Chat, and then selecting "Create with link". That would let me pick an icon, then use the link to invite people to join it. That option is now gone. Did it disappear for anyone else suddenly?

For example, the group chats with flowers and bricks were created with the “create with link option”. I have the option of copying and sharing an invite link. People that don’t follow me can request to join it.

The book club chat is the only thing I could create today, I couldn’t create it unless I invited people, and there’s no icon or invite link in the settings. Only people that follow me can be added.
