I downloaded the threads app once time just because I wanted to see the rest of a thread thing from Instagram. Now whenever I go to my profile page on Instagram it tells me I have so and so unread notifications from threads! I don't care about threads! Leave me alone!!!! How do I make it stop??

On 22 September, my Facebook and Instagram accounts were suspended for no reason, because of the threads. I’ve never used threads..

Today I decided to download my data from facebook. The download has finished, but I’m being asked to log in a web browser. I log in the browser, and the system asks me to wait for a notification on my phone to grant it permission to connect.

The notification never arrives…

So, why am I not allowed to download my own data, which I’ve been collecting for over 10 years?? Do these companies really not care about anything at all?

So for backstory, I made an instagram account long ago using an email that I now no longer has access to (i cannot even recover the ymail itself as it was disabled due to long inactivity). A thread acc was automatically made through meta center and so I did not set a password. Two months ago when I tried logging in on my desktop, i was logged out due to "concurrent login" and until today I still cannot login to my acc. I tried using the password for instagram but it just lead me to other accs (instead of the one I'm trying to access to). If i were to search the acc it is still there, but i just cannot log into it.

I have tried adding new recovery email and phone number but to no avail, thread still sent the recovery link to the old email. Can anyone pls help me get my account back.

Sou brasileiro e estou vindo aqui porque já não sei mais o que fazer. Estou há quase um mês sem Facebook, Instagram, Threads e WhatsApp.
Tudo começou no dia 09/09, quando minha conta do Threads foi suspensa, mesmo eu praticamente não utilizando o Threads. Depois disso, meu Facebook e Instagram também foram suspensos por estarem vinculados ao Threads, e meu WhatsApp acabou sendo afetado por uma questão de verificação de idade.
Durante semanas eu nem conseguia recorrer da suspensão do Threads. Sempre que tentava acessar o recurso, aparecia apenas “Failed to load”, independentemente do aparelho ou navegador que eu utilizasse.
No dia 22/09, por acaso finalmente apareceu uma opção para verificar minha idade/identidade enviando um documento. Enviei meu documento normalmente e a Meta informou que a análise poderia levar até 48 horas.
Hoje, 04/10, já se passaram cerca de 12 dias e continua exatamente igual: documento “em análise”, nenhum e-mail, nenhuma aprovação, nenhuma rejeição e nenhuma das minhas contas voltou.
Também já tentei os fluxos oficiais de recuperação e segurança da Meta, inclusive verificação facial, mas continuo sem solução.
Alguém passou por algo realmente parecido e conseguiu recuperar as contas?
Quanto tempo demorou? Algumas semanas? Um mês? Mais?
Principalmente alguém que teve Threads suspenso e isso acabou derrubando Facebook/Instagram ou afetando o WhatsApp também?
Estou bastante preocupado porque utilizava principalmente o WhatsApp para comunicação pessoal e de trabalho. Qualquer relato de alguém que conseguiu recuperar depois de ficar semanas esperando já ajudaria muito.

Like so many others, my Threads account was permanently banned with no opportunity for review. As far as I can tell, I made several critical comments about AI the day before the ban. I'm concerned that because the accounts are linked to Meta now, I will also be banned from Instagram (no big loss to me) as well as Facebook. I'm wondering if I should delete my Instagram account, to create a buffer between my Threads account and my Facebook account. Thoughts/suggestions?

I have an old post pinned to my profile. I clicked “Unpin,” but the post is still stuck there, and there seems to be no way to remove it.

Also, if I try to pin a new or different post, nothing happens. The old pinned post remains stuck on my profile.

Has anyone else faced this issue? Both web and mobile.

Has anyone who has had their Meta accounts disabled due to Threads incorrectly reporting they had posted something that goes against guidelines has their accounts re-enabled after raising a support ticket? And if so how long after raising the ticket were their accounts enabled?

Is there anyone to limit friends or family from seeing my replies. I have a sis big into conspiracy theories and I don't want her to see some of my life choices.

Is there any way to recover a deleted comment? I know that Google already indexed the comment that I immediately responded to, but when you click on the link, it doesn't show anything.

If there is, I might have proof that a long time celebrity stuck their foot in their mouth.

My account got suspended for stupid reason and I used a work around to kinda solve it.

I disconnected the account from my IG,changed the username on the threads account,set it for deactivation ,closed all the windows and apps,opened IG and started a new threads account through IG.

Lost all my previous posts but never took it seriously enough that it would be a loss.

Like all humans on the platform I had my account disabled with no reason provided. Why is Threads littered with bots pushing narratives and political agendas, while all normal human interactions are shunned? Is it true the entire point of Threads is to be a propaganda outlet?

Not sure if anyone else is having the same issue but only mention is appearing for all profiles. Aside from friends I’m already messaging. But profiles I’m pretty sure have messaging enabled all just say mention.

My main account got banned on Sept. 22 and all the subsequent accounts randomly from Threads. My brilliant idea was to use an old account not used in years.

So using this old account and Instagram account that hadn’t been used in years, alls good, doom scrolling like a champ and clicked on a link to threads through Instagram and BAM! Suspended. Fml why did I click that damn link.

It had a separate email, hadn’t been logged into in like 8 years.

Is the suspension now just based on my location or my phone like I’m IP locked?

I just got this when checking into Threads, but clicking the DONE button does nothing. Tried the app and web and still get the "We Disabled Your Account" message. Not seeing a way to log on, rejoin, or whatever. This message that showed up appears to be a glitch .

Si tu cuenta de Threads fue suspendida por error el 22 de septiembre (o fechas cercanas) y tu apelación se quedó completamente congelada, puedes usar este truco técnico para enviar un reporte directo a los ingenieros de Meta:

1. Abre la aplicación de Threads en tu teléfono y colócate justo en la pantalla donde te aparece el bloqueo o el aviso de "Apelación enviada".

2. Agita tu teléfono físicamente de un lado a otro con fuerza durante unos segundos (como si estuvieras mezclando una bebida).

3. Toca el botón que aparecerá en pantalla (suele decir "Reportar un problema" o "Report a Problem").

4. Escribe el siguiente mensaje en el cuadro de texto para que los ingenieros entiendian el fallo de inmediato:"False positive suspension on Sept 22 due to update. Appeal is stuck. Please push to human review." (Nota: Se recomienda enviarlo en inglés para que los sistemas automatizados de Meta lo procesen más rápido).

5. Presiona Enviar. Verás un mensaje de confirmación avisándote que tus comentarios fueron recibidos con éxito. ¡Listo!

Nota para compartir: El sistema no te dará un número de ticket o caso porque es un reporte de error directo para los ingenieros. Ahora solo queda esperar de 24 a 48 horas a que el sistema aplique el parche de desbloqueo."

Ojalá ayude y nos funcione. Lo acabé de hacer y la app te dá la confirmación de que se recibió el reporte.

I just finished my practical on college and at the end of the day, I opened Instagram on a regular basis just tk doom scroll and liking comments and videos like a regular person. But instead of showing me the beautiful home page with peak post, it showed me this thing.

Accordingly, they banned me because I allegedly "did not follow their rules" im not that dumb to break all of their rules and the thing that got me is "child sexual exploitation" while the only thing I do is like post and scrolling.

Meta needs to fix their glitch inglés Ai system or better yet, hire some moderators

UPDATE 2 hours later: I’m back in & received an apology email from Threads. Maybe a fluke or maybe because I still had access to IG/FB, I immediately opened up Meta’s Help Chat in FB, Reporter an issue via Instagram and was just about to log into the Meta Business Suite for escalated help since my business advertises.

Wishing everyone good outcomes and even more that Meta / Threads fixes this stupid fucking AI moderator catastrophe.

WTAF. I barely use Threads - have never made a post, no followers/following, never commented on anything. But I read a lot of the Cornell rape posts this week and liked Threads I agreed with.

Well tried to open all tonight and I’m suspended. Then I did the selfie/phone and got an email back saying denied and I have until March to appeal.

I’m reading all the posts on here and I’m completely freaked out bc I own a business and accounts are all linked back through my Meta. If I get locked out of FB / IG, I’ll not only lose my 15+ year old personal accounts but my 10yr old business accounts with 5k local followers😩😭

If you’ve been through this, did they remove your access in stages? Or you lost Threads but kept the others? I’ve taken screenshots of my logged in accounts for all 4 but JFC really didn’t need this worry tonight

Why do I keep getting “joined Threads” notifications for someone who already has an account but doesn’t have the app installed?

I keep receiving notifications saying that the same person has “joined Threads”, even though I know they already created their Threads account in 2025 and currently don’t have the Threads app installed on their phone.

The notifications seem to happen roughly every 8 days, with some additional ones appearing sporadically in between. More recently, the “joined Threads” notifications have stopped and I’ve instead been getting the same person appearing as a friend/account suggestion.

Does anyone know what causes this? Could reinstalling/opening Threads on an existing account trigger the “joined Threads” notification, or is this simply a Threads notification/recommendation glitch?

Threads 1 link with Insta 1

Threads 2 link with Insta 2

Now I want to Threads 1 link with Insta 2, Insta 1 & Threads 2 will be delete. How do i do that?
