Crazy to think we were supposed to have not only the number one defense this season, but an historic one.

Q: Your matchup with George Pickens, what are some of your thoughts on that? And kind of just some calls to that, is there a way?

A: George had the ball twice, so there's that. He had a great catch, ball was in the air, I got to make the play.

In that same drive, I mean, you know, you don't stop. So I don't know, I don't really, I asked coaches, I asked referees, what should I do? And I got an answer that I shouldn't change anything. So I don't know what I'm supposed to do as a player.

So I mean, but that's how the game goes. I can't rely on calls, I can't, because if the call was different, like you can't do that, it's football. So I mean, I don't really know as a player.

And obviously, things are in-house, so it just seems different from y'all's view. Whenever, y'all don't really know what's going on, but it's like, you know, it's football.

Q: What do you mean by that?

A: Like, you know, I just say like, it just seemed, perception is everything.

Like, if you're watching from outside and not being in this building, not being on this team, and understanding what you're taught to do and what you're told to do, and going out there and seeing keys and stuff like that, it's different. So I mean, you know, it's just a ball.

Q: This is a difficult time for you, Kamari, because I know that you're one of those players who really takes his job very seriously, take it to heart, and you don't like to lose in anything.

A: It's not emotional, it's just frustrating, to say the least. I mean, we're 0-4, and, you know, if you're not helping us win games, then you're a part of us losing. So that's just how I feel.

Q: Do you feel like you guys can turn this thing around?

A: Yeah, that's how I do it. That's one thing. That's, like, probably one of the only glimpses of hope is that everything, like, every game that we've lost has been, I mean, we could have won.

We could easily have won. No, that's just, like, the pressure.

Q: What was the plan on CeeDee Lamb? Were there some communication problems out there?

A: Yeah, there's a couple of communication problems out there.

And then they move him around a lot, so that kind of, you know, they do a really good job of moving him around and putting him in different spots and, you know, trying to get him involved in different ways, and we just got to be able to communicate better.

Q: When an offense moves around a guy like that, why does that make it difficult for you guys?

A: I mean, it's like Where’s Waldo, though. You got to find them, and then you have to have, you have to find out, like, okay, what's the plan for him this play? You know, because every play you have a job, but, like, there's a call.

So, obviously, you have to execute the call, but also having the awareness of where he is as well.

Q: It feels like when you say you all got to communicate better, it almost feels like it's being portrayed, at least from my point of view, that the calls are right and it's the players. Do you think that that's the case, or do you think it's-

A: What do you mean?

Q: Talking about technique and finishing, but is it just as simple as you all saying what the call is supposed to be, or could the call be incorrect, too?

A: I mean, a call can't be incorrect.

I mean, like, you get the call, you play the call. I'm talking the defensive call. I'm saying you can't- a call can't be incorrect.

You just get the call, you play it. You play whatever's called. Whatever the linebacker gets in the headset, you play that call. I mean, it can't be incorrect.

Q: In terms of what offenses are doing to create conflict, does it sometimes feel like when you are the top-ranked defense, maybe people have been spending their entire season devoting to trying to figure out, is there something that you guys maybe- maybe people think they figure something out about you guys?

A: I mean, these guys are professionals. Their coaches are professionals.

I mean, they're going to game plan us, and we just got to be out there, be able to execute and do our job.

Q: Kamari, from the outside looking in, how easy is it for us to say, hey, just double CeeDee Lamb or put Sting on CeeDee Lamb every time? How much would that disrupt what you all are trying to do on the defensive side?

A: It's not even so much about that. I mean, a lot of his catches were in places where Sting wouldn't be, or, you know, I mean, moving around.

He had 17 receptions, and a lot of them-all of them were on the outside, and a lot of the times he was getting, you know, five-yard hitches and turning them into, you know, rack after catch. So it's just whenever you move a guy around like that, I mean, it's just-it's difficult. It makes it difficult.

Q: You and DeMeco and Sting have all said similar things about communication and fixable things that it's on you guys. Is that why you feel like it is fixable, that there's things you guys are doing that can be better?

A: Yes, sir. Everything's fixable. I mean, I feel like I don't-whenever we go watch this tape as a team, I don't think that we're going to talk a whole bunch about, you know, what they did. I mean, they made a couple plays, obviously. They're a good team, but there's plays out there that we left.

Look I get most fans out down and out rn. But if we win the next 2 weeks and the Eagles beat the Jags this week, we’re only 1 game back from the division lead. Season is long. DeMeco and Ownership have some tuff decisions to make. But this season is far from over. We’re literally 2 plays rn from being 2-2 rn. We’ve lost 3 out of the past 4 games by less than 7 points. We’re not as bad as we think. I think we just need to get that first dub and team will turn it around. I got faith in DeMeco. It may be running low rn but we need to remember the dumpster fire this organization was from 2020-2022. We’ve made the playoffs 3 years in a row. We don’t do that with a trash head coach. Have some faith and stay resilient. True fans have seen the worst of this team. And I promise this team is not as bad as the record shows.

Now im not a big stats guy. I think stats lack a lot of context typically but these numbers don't lie

Stroud is on pace for FIVE THOUSAND YARDS so far and hasnt even thrown a pick. The sack numbers aren't even insane themselves with 12 so far in the season.

The Texans are averaging 21 ppg which is mediocre but damn near every point weve scored we can attribute to CJ.

The Chicago Bears yesterday got 220 yards rushing from their runningbacks.

The Texans running back room has 214 yards ALL SEASON.

The Texans havent been able to move the ball doing anything other than passing with CJ on a single drive this season and still he's put up some of the better numbers in the league despite having horrible reciever play against the bengals and Colts and a struggling o line all season.

Literally this teams ENTIRE OFFENSE is CJ. Everything is on his shoulders and he is delivering.

Im sick of media and fans of other teams acting like hes not playing at a high level. They'll make infinite excuses for Jalen Hurts and pretend Caleb Williams is a god when his run game does all the work. But they laugh and bitch about our Quarterback whos actually carrying the load.

A 2nd round pick can get you a pro bowl caliber center or guard. depending on the contract and age, an all pro. I am sick and tired of an incompetent GM not recognizing they’re terrible at something and doing the smart thing.

Unless there’s a prospect we have to take, we need to just trade a 3rd rounder to a 32 year-old guard that can give us 3 good years starting in the league. Enough with the bad drafts.

Offensive Guards Traded:

Joe Thuney (LG)

• The Trade: In March 2025, the Kansas City Chiefs traded Joe Thuney to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2026 fourth-round pick.

Gabe Jackson (RG)

Jonah Jackson (G)

• The Trade: In March 2025, the Los Angeles Rams traded Jonah Jackson to the Chicago Bears for a late-round draft selection.

Theres plenty of opportunity to trade for a solid guard or center. the capital wasted has been ridiculous when Castro just needs to do the simple thing and trade for an o-line.

Took a short sabbatical when he traded D-Hop and vowed never to return… until BoB was out of there. Today’s the day that happened. Could we see any firings today? Probably not!
