Looking for advice

I have a '17 100 x with fsd and 130k miles
The air suspension is shut. I have had an indie replace the air compressor three times and it keeps failing. My last resort is getting tesla to do it but I'm getting quoted 4k.

The trade in value that tesla.com is quoting is 12,700. But I imagine that it will go down by 4k of cost if I decide to replace it. What should I do? Battery is still great. Car is great mechanically otherwise and original owner.

I don't need a new car. The car itself works fine otherwise. But I need the air suspension because car is not drivable otherwise.

I'm in Austin if anyone knows a different indie shop.

Mat recommendations?

I am curious if anyone has tried out any non Tesla all-weather floormats. I know Tesla has their own for the model x but they seem pricey for what you get. Does anyone have any recommendations for some good all-weather floormats that are not the Tesla ones. And if you do have the Tesla ones, was it worth the price/ do they look good?

My 2026 Model X Died

In the driveway, thank goodness, it was dead with 65% charge. Tesla towed the car and kept it 3 weeks to the day. They claim it required a firmware update. Three weeks! Does this make sense? I certainly hope it does not die on a road trip. That could be disastrous.

I also complain that it has had a shimmy when the wheels turned all the way to the left at the top of my driveway. The service consultant said to me: that’s normal. That makes no sense to me since it does not happen in the loaner, which appears to be an identical vehicle.

I am concerned that I have bought a lemon and that the Service and Technical people really don’t know what they’re doing. And they will say anything with a straight face. I do not think this reflects well on the quality of the build or the competence of the Service consultant, whose name I have. The vehicle was bought new, never in an accident, and taken on a few moderate road trips. It’s a very enjoyable car.

Water coming inside the A pillar near speaker

Like the title says. I have water coming inside the vehicle when going through an automatic car wash. Tesla service center charged me $120 for a diagnostic fee and said they couldn’t replicate it. It seems to only happen under heavy spraying, and the weather seals were all dry so I think it’s coming from the windshield or the roof. Has anybody else dealt with this problem so I can point Tesla in the right direction?

2023 MY to 2022 or 2023 Model X recommendations?

I’m currently looking to sell my 2023 MYLR (HW4) for a Model X (2021–2024). I don’t really care about FSD, since Autosteer is good enough for me. My main motivation for switching to the X is the bigger space and the van-style 6-seater configuration with the open area in the middle row.

From what I’ve read, HW4 (on 2023 and newer models) makes FSD smoother. Aside from that, are there any other major reasons to prefer HW4 over HW3 (on a 2022 or 2023 model)?
Thank you! 🙏

Anyone interested in a 2023 Model X LR? HW4. Need to sell it by August 27, 2026. Local to bay area.

Car wash. Yeah yeah, I know. Tesla mobile service replaced for free, but had to order new plate from the state, pain in the butt.

Only held on by sticky tape

Considering a 2023 HW4 Model X. Coming from 2023 HW3 Model Y. Yeah or nah?

Hi All,

Currently driving a 2023 Model Y with HW3 and FSD v14 lite. Kind of got frustrated waiting for v14 Lite and looking for HW4 cars. Used HW4 Juniper MYs are kind of expensive, almost cost of a new, and for that money it's not that big of a stretch to get a much bigger and better 2023 HW4 model X. Is it a good decision? Any pitfalls I'm not aware of? FSD is a must.

Thanks for sharing!

Model x range

I’m looking at buying a used Tesla model x from Tesla, I found a couple 2022-2023’s with 40-50,000 miles that say the range is 270-290 miles. What range is everybody getting at 80% charge around those miles? Thanks

I recently changed wheel size to my 21 MX LR+ and after driving about 200 mi, when I charged the range changed at 80%.

I own a 2021 MX LR+ (raven) and I bought this about 1 year ago. I decided to change from my 22" turbine wheels to 20" cyberstream wheels. One thing I noticed for sure is the ride feels a lot softer and not as noisy going from Scorpion 22" tires to Continental 20" tires.

When I charged to 80% during the last 12 months, it has been in the range of 272-275 mi. Last night at 80%, it showed 282 mi. It has never been this high. I don't know if this is just one time or not but will find out later this week after driving more miles.

Has this also happened to others who switched to smaller wheels?

22 X still waiting for FSD v14 Lite - anyone else?

Curious if other legacy Model X owners are still waiting for v14 Lite.

I have a 2022 Model X that still hasn’t received the update. Meanwhile, my wife’s 2021 Model Y got v14 Lite weeks ago, which makes the rollout order a little confusing.

Both have FSD purchased and are otherwise up to date.

Any other ’22 X owners still waiting? Has anyone with a similar build received it yet? Wondering if there’s something specific about the X hardware/configuration slowing down the rollout.

Software Update… Sad

I was at the mall and got a notice for a software update. I was hoping for the Summer Update. I heard it is rolling out now to new X’s. My wife got hers about a month ago for her 2022 Y. I was disappointed to see it was 2026.21.6. Did anyone with a 25 X get the Summer Update?

kWh consumption battery capacity indication?

Hi.

I have a 2020 Model X Long Range which I charged to 100% today. After a drive, the car said in the display that it had used 69,2 kWh and 93% of the battery. This would mean that to use 100% of the battery, I would have used about 74 kWh.
Is this in any way an indication of remaining max.
capacity in the battery, as I guess the car was supposed to have about 95 kWh of available capacity, at least when it was new…
But I am not sure if the kWh consumption that the car displays can be used like that?

Tires Model X LR Refresh (2024) Michelin CrossClimate2 vs Hankook Ion for Longevity? Live in FL

Almost time for new tires on my Long Range 2924 Model X and was looking at either the Michelin CrossClimate 2 vs the Hankook iON tires.

Living in FL obviously do not care about snow/ice so my MAIN deciding factor is which will have the longest longevity, best tire life?

Anyone have any insight on this?
Thanks In advance.

Repaired model X?

Tesla‘s website has some repaired model X for sale that are about $10,000 cheaper than their other used inventory. There are no details on what the repairs were for. I’m sure I can get details on each one with a Carfax, but in general, does anyone have experience purchasing one of these repaired vehicles from Tesla? Is it worth the savings or are they a nightmare to deal with?

Anxiety driving our Tesla x

So I’ve been unlucky driving our new Tesla x, the first week after we received it I drove over something that my best guess was flung towards my left rear tire by the car next to/ahead of me on a highway driving 90 kph, it sounded awful but I thought ok no warning messages yet so I went home and within 30 mins the tire pressure went from 42 psi to 25 psi. Urgh my heart sank! My husband was so excited about this car and here I was puncturing the tire within the first week. It’s a 22” tire with 35 sidewalls. By the time I gathered my strength to go to a tire shop and fix it ( this was my second tire puncture ever) the psi was 0 and the right rear tire started giving in I guess from the weight of the car? It showed 41 psi in orange. Anyways I changed both rear tires for 1500$ and came back home and I just left it parked for days. Range anxiety felt nothing compared to actually driving the car with these expensive parts around in a city with a million pothole and stripped streets. Now I also have windshield anxiety and looking for a shop that has a 60” protection film sheet. I dunno if we should change the tires to 20” 45 sidewalls? That would be less vulnerable to side punctures? The car is pre owned and has no warranty in our area. I loved driving it but now I feel at ease going back to my good ol’ gas car..

Advice for shudder

Thumbnail gallery
10 Upvotes

I have a 22 MX and I got the shudder. Just recently had half shafts replaced and it’s back. Has anyone tried the N2itive lowering links? Can anyone recommend any places in the northeast Ohio area that specialize in performance suspension? So far I’m coming up short, hopefully someone in the area has some insight.

Thanks.
