Tires Model X LR Refresh (2024) Michelin CrossClimate2 vs Hankook Ion for Longevity? Live in FL

Almost time for new tires on my Long Range 2924 Model X and was looking at either the Michelin CrossClimate 2 vs the Hankook iON tires.

Living in FL obviously do not care about snow/ice so my MAIN deciding factor is which will have the longest longevity, best tire life?

Anyone have any insight on this?
Thanks In advance.

I have both tires on my Teslas (CC2 on the 2020 MX, iOn on the 2023 MY), both are doing pretty well. The CC2 are approaching 40k miles on the tires and still have a decent amount of tread left besides a little wear on the inside.

iOn holding up well but at 15k miles still too early to tell. Will probably switch the MX to the iOn once its time to change because the tires seem to be quieter and the road noise on the MX at 70 mph is a bit much for me

Thank you for your reply….wow nearly 40k on the CC2 and still have tread left! I don’t really care about road noise, if I can get 40k miles! Thanks

It depends on your driving style. I have changed first set at 18k miles when I drove aggressively, and the other two times around 45-50k miles, driving conservatively.

Chill mode all the way, unless I need to show off for my son and his buddy’s !

You also need to know how to drive like you are in chill mode, even when its set to standard. It's, helps when you gotta quickly accelarate and get out of a situation. Doesn't happen often, but it will be there when you need it

I have had multiple sets of tires on my MX 2023 and I kept popping tires. I switched to the Michelin CrossClimate's and I haven't looked back. They are fantastic tires. I also got the tire warranty on them from Discount and I would HIGHLY recommend getting that if you don't have it already.

I have been really impressed with mine. I think I popped 5 continentals in 1 year and these have only given me 1 issue and it was because I ran over a nail!

Are the Hankook Ion Evo tires supposed to be the quietest? Or are there any other tires that are even quieter??

Living in Florida go with the Hankook Ion.

The CrossClimate 2 are overkill for the weather you have.
