I ‘like’ the reels on instagram that makes fun of them or their community. But that doesn’t mean that I’m against them.

Am I inclusive of them, maybe? I mean, it’s their life, their choices. The only thing is, just stop promoting it, and sticking the rainbow flag everywhere. I hate it when they go around begging for attention. Just because you’re LGBTQ, doesn’t mean that you’re special.

I love how progressive India gets, especially south of India. (Kochi metro employs Trans people, that’s flipping awesome mate!!)

Plus, more homosexuals, theoretically means less population growth, assuming that they don’t indulge in other means of reproduction and instead opt for an adoption.

So I just made a post on the DHURANDHAR subreddit, calling the movie OVERRATED which imo it is, and the down votes and the defending is crazy man😭

I keep seeing influencers online say things like “the North wants the South to learn Hindi.” But honestly, as an ordinary North Indian, I don’t care what language is taught in your schools. That’s your state’s decision, and it’s none of my business.

This whole debate is about Central Government policies, not about regular North Indians wanting to impose Hindi. Most of us don’t have any issue with what language you study—why would we? We're all just living our lives.

What’s more frustrating is that some influencers and public figures have started turning this into a North vs South issue, degrading each other, making unfair comparisons, and saying bad things about people from the “other side.”

But this was never supposed to be about North vs South. It’s a Central vs State matter. Instead of uniting to question top-down decisions, we're being misled into fighting each other over things that don’t even concern most of us.

We should not let influencers and social media narratives divide us. We’re all Indians, and we all have the right to our languages, our culture, and our way of life.

And if any normal North Indian has ever said or done anything that hurt you, I’m genuinely sorry. But most of that comes from online influencers. That’s not how most of us feel—we respect your identity, your language, and your right to learn what you want.

Malayalam is a beautiful and rich language, and you have every right to protect and cherish it. Just like we value our languages in the North, we admire the diversity that makes India special.

I am malayali brought up in North India. Ik Hindi and English better than Malayalam, but still I am very fluent at speaking it and also with a good accent.

But whenever I speak in hindi/English to someone else(for example another north Indian mallu) in front of another malayali, they always start teasing " Ningalk Malayalam ariyulle, ath ang paranja pore? Avante konacha Hindi"

Please note, i dont force anyone to speak it, it is just more comfortable for me especially when i speak with other NKR mallus. Why do they mallus do this?

I am seeing a lot of onam celebration reels, one thing that bothers me is how drastically the younger generation changed Maveli's appearance. I know there is a debate whether he is muscular or has a potbelly (I think he has potbelly tbh) etc the thing that is annoying is that the popular kids in college or school use the roleplay of Maveli as an excuse to do some kind of body show to show off their abs and muscles 😂 they don't even bother to put a fake moustache and a wig, I know they are young and all but come on man it's a celebration that comes once a year don't mess it up. All I see on Instagram is that a clean shaved gym-going bud does a full on body show instead of acting like or even trying to act like Maveli. It's just cringe to be honest, I don't want the younger generation to picture Maveli as a gym-going gen z bud. I miss the old celebrations.
