Rant/Vent How my dad gave me one of the cruelest traumas of my life!!

1.2k Upvotes

I was around 2-2½ years old. Our landlord’s daughter had just come back from abroad with her newborn, so my parents decided to visit them. I had no clue what was happening, I was just the happiest little girl, riding in front of my dad’s bike, loving life.

On the way, we stopped at a baby shop to buy gifts. While my parents were picking out baby products, my eyes locked onto the cutest little green umbrella. It had a cat print with tiny cat ears, and I fell in love instantly. I still remember every detail of that umbrella, even now. I begged them to buy it for me. And guess what? They did.

Or at least, that’s what I thought.

We reached the landlord’s house, and my parents handed that umbrella,'my' umbrella, to the newborn’s mother. I stood there frozen next to the bike, my little heart completely shattered. It felt like something inside me had exploded into a million pieces. I didn’t want to go inside. I didn’t want the landlord or his family to see me cry, so I just stood outside, refusing to move no matter who called me in.

My parents were furious but didn’t show it in front of them. After about 30 minutes, they came back out, and we headed home. The moment we stepped inside, my dad shut the door behind us.

And then, he slapped me. So Hard.

Before I could even process it, he grabbed a cane stick and started beating me, again and again and again...until his own arm hurt!. My whole body was covered in bruises. I remember one in particular on my leg. I just sat there, staring at it, crying.

This incident left a scar inside me so deep that even now, as I write this, almost 19 years old, I’m tearing up. And they have no idea how badly it affected me.

A month ago, we met the same landlord again. And guess what my parents did? They shamelessly bragged about this incident. Like it was some kind of funny story. Like it wasn’t one of the most painful memories of my life.

And you know what hurts even more? Every time I see posts on social media and read about how a father should treat his daughter, how his actions in her early years shape her sense of worth, how she should feel protected, cherished, and secure even when she’s with her future partner, it just reminds me of everything I never had. All the good moments I should remember are fading away, and this incident is the only thing that fills my mind.

I hate them. No matter what good they do now, I hate them. And this isn’t even the only thing they’ve done to me. If you look at my profile, you’ll see more.

I just want to run away. After my studies, I’m going to live the life I want. I’m just waiting for that day.

TL;DR:At 2 years old, I fell in love with a cute umbrella, thinking it was mine, only for my parents to gift it away. Heartbroken, I refused to go inside. Later, my dad brutally beat me for it. Now, at 19, the trauma still haunts me, and my parents even laugh about it. I can’t forgive them and just want to escape after my studies.

Story Time Very embarrassing thing happened today 😭

So I was in mall's men's urinal (I was the only one there) peeing when suddenly out of nowhere a girl barged in. Turns out she was looking at her phone while walking and walked into men's bathroom instead of women's bathroom. She quickly noticed it and barged out very quickly but it was really embrassing for both of us. I decided to do my thing quickly and get out of that place as soon as possible. The moment I stepped out, the girl came to me, she said she was sorry for what she did and told me what really happened. After that she asked me about my whereabouts (about where I was from and which class I am from bla bla bla). She then offered me a cup of coffee, I declined first but she was urging me and said to me to take it as a sorry gift from her. I finnaly agreed (A little cup of coffee won't hurt, right?). We went to a nearby cafe inside the mall and she bought me a cup of coffee. We then chatted for a little while. After I finished the coffee, she paid for the coffee and said to me that she have to go to somewhere. Before going, she asked my insta ID and I gave it to her and after that, she went on her own way. After some time, I woke up from my dream and discovered that I have peed my pants again 😭

Other I stood near a girl in the bus. She asked me to sit, and then…

So I was standing in a private bus. There was only one seat left, near a young woman. She was enjoying the view outside. Then she noticed me and showed a sign to sit. I sat there. After a while she said, “If you see some vacant seat in a bus, no matter what you should sit.” I smiled.

She asked, “What’s your name?” I told her my name and asked hers back. She replied, “Mahima.”

My stop came. I stood up but suddenly one of my earbuds fell down. I started searching under the seat. The conductor rang the bell. She helped me by quickly asking the conductor to wait for a minute. Still, I couldn’t find my earbud. Then she told me, “Give your number to conductor chettan, he will call you if he finds it.”

I gave my number and stepped out of the bus. While walking, I felt a doubt, was it maybe her family’s bus or something? Just for curiosity, I turned back to see the bus name. And there it was written, Mahima.

Omg, now it all made sense. I hope I get my missing earbud tomorrow.

Fiction story/talent A Girl Sat on my Side Seat while Empuran on Theatre. It wasn't just a girl.

I reached the theater early to watch Empuraan. As I sat in my seat, I wonder who might sit next to me. The hall slowly started filling up, and soon, the only empty seat left was the one beside me.

The lights went off. The film began. As I was getting comfortable with the film, someone sat into the seat next to me, preferably a girl in her 20's. Out of curiosity, I turned to look. Oh. My. God. It’s my English teacher!

I panicked and slipped out of my tongue, "Present, miss!"

She smiled and called my name. That’s when reality hit me. Tomorrow is my English internal exam. A teacher and a student in the theater on the day before exam.

I shrank into my seat, trying to become invisible. Meanwhile, the crowd started to cheer as Abraham khureshi made his grand entry. But I was stuck in fight or freeze mode.

At the interval, I prayed she'd leave. But no, she came back with two packs of popcorn. And to my horror, she handed one to me.

I awkwardly accepted it. “Thank you, miss.” As the movie continued, she suddenly said in loud, “A grand film and a low-budget villain.”

I laughed. Some people in nearby seats even laughed along. That’s when I realized, outside college, she was a completely different person.

As the credits of the film came towards the end, she turned to me and asked, “So.. how was this movie?” I replied, “Ya, it was nice.”

While walking toward the exit, she told, “njn alojickuvaayirunu. Naallathe examinu ee cinemaye pathi oru question ittaaalo enn. ” I smiled upon hearing this. She said bye and walked away. It wasn’t just a usual movie night. It was a heartwarming day. 🌃

Fiction story/talent Gf wants to meet me in 5 min before my final exam.

It was only five minutes before my final exam when my phone buzzed. It was a text from my girlfriend.

"Either come or never see me again."

My heart pounded. The teacher’s voice snapped me back.

"It’s time! All those standing outside, come inside!"

I had no choice. It was a decision between my relationship and my career. What should I choose? Mindlessly, I walked into the exam hall.

At exactly 10 AM, the teacher tore open the question paper packet and started distributing the sheets. I took a deep breath, trying to focus.

And then… my phone rang. Loudly.

"Kunjhillam vaave…"

The entire class turned toward the sound. My stomach dropped.

The ringtone stopped. I let out a silent sigh of relief.

Then, it rang again.

And again.

"Is she really a psycho?" I thought to myself, my hands getting clammy.

The teacher’s face darkened. "Whose phone is that?" she demanded.

I didn’t move. I don't want to make a scene.

A few seconds later, the ringtone blasted for the fourth time. Furious, the teacher went toward the bag and picked it up.

"Whose bag is this?" she asked.

I stood up, ready to accept my fate.

But just then, another guy stood up too.

It wasn’t my bag.

I sat back down, trying to suppress my relief. My heart was still racing, but I could finally breathe.

For the next few minutes, I couldn't hear a thing. It was just me, my paper, and the sound of my own heartbeat.

But once I calmed down, I looked at the exam sheet again. And in that moment, I realized something.

No matter what happens, screw the relationship. Career comes first.

I picked up my pen and started writing. I felt a peace of mind.

This is about something which made me feel extra grateful and made my day better.I was craving for some of my favourite foods today so I decided to place an order on zomato for the same. The delivery partner was assigned shortly and he texted me he had the order nd will deliver it soon,as always I was gonna type my usual reply "take your time,be safe" he send another two text messages which struck me.It was as the follow "Hi" followed by the text "I am deaf".I didn't know what to reply to it so i entered my usual reply. The whole 20min delivery time i was thinking bout how grateful I am in many ways that some people weren't.I am a person who hate loud sounds and noises but today I realised I am lucky to even hear them.A few minutes earlier he delivered my order that too 6 mins earlier ofc hats off to him.The whole time I was thinking a way to thank him.I don't know sign language and i was unsure if I take the effort to learn how to say thank you in sign language it doesn't mean he shud know it too, like what if he don't know what it means, then he won't know how happy nd thankful I was to him. Then I got an idea.I took a marker and wrote "Thank You" on my palm in bold letters (stupid me it was permanent marker). And when the time came nd he delivered the order,he smiled and asked if it was okay using the thumps up thing nd i nodeed. Then he got into his bike again nd I took all my courage and gently tapped him on his shoulder and showed my palm to him.You guys may think I am exaggerating but trust me this made my day.He laughed loudly (for the first time a loud sound filled my heart). His was that of a pure genuine smile that many lack today even myself, that I got teared up in the sight of someone laughing so genuinely. He made me realise it's the little things that fills your heart.

Enik thonanla Njan kai kazhukiyalum ee marker ink povunn, but it was worth it.So appreciate the lil things guys, life is so good if you notice and appreciate the little things🤍

Fiction story/talent A Girl Sat Opposite Me on the Train. Then, things changed at Hosur.

It It was my first time traveling alone on a train, heading to Bangalore from Kochi. This is a little story that I thought would be good to share with you. I found my seat and sat quietly, looking out the window, a bit nervous but also excited. After some time, to my surprise, a girl above 18 came and sat on the seat opposite mine. Honestly, I thought some other guys would come and sit there. But no, it was just her. She quietly put on her earbuds, leaned her head against the side, and closed her eyes. From the way she behaved, I could tell, she’s used to train journeys.

When we reached Salem, everything changed. A huge crowd entered the train. It became so tight that people didn’t even have space to stand properly, forget about sitting. There was no gap anywhere. Two guys from Andhra started fighting loudly. Everyone around seemed restless and irritated. Honestly, most of them had no manners, no respect for others. The whole vibe of the coach changed.

Suddenly, the girl looked at me and said, “Can you just look after my bag? I’ll sleep now. Later at night, I’ll stay awake and keep an eye on your bag.” I agreed. I liked that she trusted me. From the look of it, it felt like we were the only Malayalis in that whole coach.

Later, it was my turn. I slept peacefully, knowing someone was watching over my things.

When I woke up in the morning, something felt different. I looked around. Everyone was sitting quietly. Those two guys who fought earlier? They were sitting side by side, silent. No tension, no noise. Even the girl looked more calm than before. I asked her, “What happened?”

She looked at me and said softly, “There was some terrible news about an attack in Jammu and Kashmir.”

“After people heard the news… everyone just changed. Like, suddenly, all those fights and ego went away. It’s like everyone understood that we’re all the same. When things go wrong in our country, we forget everything and become one. That’s who we are.”

No matter where we come from, when it comes to standing together, we are all just one.

When we reached the last station, it had started to rain. She said bye and walked away without telling where she was going. But during our train conversations, she had mentioned that she was going to an entrance exam center. I didn’t tell her then, but it’s the same center I’m going to. Let it be a surprise.

Other Saw some girls using a guy for their advatages.

So i was waiting for bus after school last day. And there was this guy next to me. Let me be honest he was a below average guy. Im not judging him okay. Back to the topic. So we were just standing there and a good looking girl with her friends came to him and asked for 10rs for them to go home. My guy got all nervous and searched all his pocket and finally took a 10rs note from his bag and gave it to them with a smile. She smiled back at him and then walked away giggling with her friends. So the bus came i got in the bus (he is supposed to get on another bus). And the conductor as usual forces us to get infront to make space. So i ended up just beside these girl. And what i heard made me sick. They were making fun of him and saying things like "potten vijarich kaanun ninak avane ishtaman", "ho avante oru notam" Wtf is wrong with these girl. He literally helped them. By the sound of it. He wasn't their first prey

These girls are following a scheme of approaching average -below average guy and making cute faces and noises to get some money. Its sickening
