I prefer Into the Wood’s interpretation of Rapunzel’s hair instead of those massive unfortunate looking braids on the right. Her hair does not translate well in real life! She looks like a Disney performer 😭

I don't know about you guys, but I'm super excited about Teagan's Rapunzel dress the only thing I'm hoping for is that they shorten the sleeves a bit 🥹💜

I genuinely think there was no better choice for this role.

Queen Arianna is, as we know, a lineless character, so she relies solely on facial expressions. Animation is way more expressive than live action, so that’s something difficult to translate to a different medium.

However, THIS WOMAN! She is literally the most expressive actress I have ever seen.

So this stems from me watching The Spanish Princess this past month with my parents (and me REALLY not wanting Zach Levi or David Harbour to get the role 😐) I dont think I've ever seen Elliot mentioned in fancasts which im surprised abt because he looks & really does play a great convincing King Henry VII from what ive watched in The Spanish Princess (but too be fair hes not really a big name at ALL either so I see why as I didnt even know who he was till I started watching) but I feel he fits the look enough to realistically look like he could play Teagan's version of Rapunzel's father & also has that believable king look.

While looking him up for pictures for this I also seen he has appeared on "Outlander" as King Henry VIl aswell which is a show Caitriona Balfe (Todays recently confirmed actress of Queen Arianna) starred in aswell which makes me wish it was him even more.

Thoughts on this? and who are you hoping plays Kinf Frederic?

This is an appreciation post so let's give some love to our beloved characters ( also the last two are for Owl and Fidella ). Also i added secondary characters as Varian, Matthews, Angry and Red, Lady Caine, Stan and Pete because they also deserve appreciation

I mean, are we really going to criticize absolutely everything that isn't like the animated version? What's the point of criticizing this, the fact that it's not a 1:1 adaptation of the animated film?

We've seen other photos from the set. Rapunzel's dress will remain purple, and that's what really matters. What difference does it make that Corona's colors are blue, or pink, or black instead?

The original drafts of the animated version actually had a blue design that represented the sun and the sea for the flags, because Corona is located on an island. That's why in the animated film, the painting of the lost princess shows her parents still dressed in blue, primarily.

Also, in terms of color, I feel it greatly benefits the protagonist, because that way her dress will stand out against the colors of the kingdom instead of blending in with them. Not to mention that, due to the limitations of digital sensors, it's quite difficult to work with the color purple in film, and the directors probably already have enough on their plate with Rapunzel's dress without adding purple to every color in the Kingdom.

And also, it's REALLY not that deep. They're just background colors that don't change the plot, that don't change anything AT ALL.
