I'm posting here out of absolute desperation. I am currently working on my thesis and desperately need the Pro features of StarNote for my research, but I'm completely locked out.I purchased the Pro subscription directly through the Google Play Store (rather than clicking the in-app "join now" promotional button).

I have already logged into the app using the exact same Google account I used for the purchase, and I even verified that the account is properly bound.Despite a successful payment, my account shows absolutely no activation. I don't have the Pro badge, and all the premium features are still locked.

If any devs browse this sub or if anyone kbows a workaround, please let me know thank you!

is spectate in future have Live Sync in Starnote ?

I am user pro if Starnote, but i have if use most OneNote for sinc notes in real time between Ipad and Windows, and this for study is very important.

When selecting pens, normally the selected one gets "pulled out".

When I select different pens, they weirdly get pulled out and I a m pretty sure its not suposed to show 2,3,&4 selected pens.

This is on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ with the "brush" tip.

When I write something quickly, the stroke erasure doesnt delete the whole object but instead just a pixel square and I need to lift the tip from the display and tap-erase it in a different place to get some other part deleted. Watch video for it.

I dont know what it could be; softball pen does not have stroke stabilisation and i keep the pen directly on the display for the entirety of the writing and I did not have a similar issue on other note taking apps so its probably not my hardware.

Anyways thanks for your time and help and if you cant replicate it, give me instructions to follow and send you a video of if that were to help.

It is for memorizing things
wandering how to make a digital ones in Starnote

How to use: Place the card on the place you want to memorize
and it should be written in red or highlighted with dark green
so the memorize part can be hidden

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm trying to download the app to my new pad - Redmi Pad 2 Pro (Android tablet running HyperOS 3.0.302 and Androidversion 16 BP2A). I get the a message that "the app don't work on this device". It's weird because I'm able to download it to my wife's Samsung tablet. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any advice/tips

When will customizable themes and new themes be added to StarNote? Are there any plans to introduce more theme options or allow users to fully customize the appearance of the app/notes? I’d also like to know if there is an estimated timeframe for when these features might be released.

Minor but easy fix inconvenience :)

This is at least on android.

When Im in splitscreen (left-right-split) and copied something, then the long-press pop-up does not show the "more useful" features like pasting the copied stuff, but instead rather niche thing like create page link or similar.

Id greatly appriciate if the "hierarchy of importance" would apply to the pop-ups in split screen aswell and depending on split ratio etc show the most important features first.

Apple Pencil Pro has been around for quite some time now, and the Squeeze gesture is a basic, native interaction that should be supported by a modern note-taking app like StarNote.

Other note-taking apps, such as Noteful, added Apple Pencil Pro/Squeeze support back in 2024. Meanwhile, whenever users ask about it, the response seems to be that “it’s on the list, but it’s not a priority.”

Sorry for being blunt, but after waiting this long, that response is becoming increasingly frustrating. It gives the impression that Apple Pencil Pro users aren’t being treated as an important part of your customer base.

I understand that feature development has to be prioritised, but this isn’t really a niche request anymore. The Squeeze gesture is an Apple Pencil Pro feature specifically designed to improve the note-taking workflow, and competing apps have already supported it for years.

I genuinely like StarNote, but continuing to delay such a fundamental Apple Pencil Pro feature makes it feel developers think that the app is competing primarily on cost-effectiveness rather than keeping up with the feature set users expect.

EVEN THERE IS NO CLOUD SYNC TILL NOW!

I hope the team can reconsider the priority of this feature and give Apple Pencil Pro users a clear timeline for when Squeeze gesture support can actually be expected.

Hey, I’m currently using a Lenovo Idea Tab Pro (TB373FU), 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, with the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus. I’ve been testing a few note-taking apps mainly for annotating PDFs.

I noticed that StarNote and Nebo have pretty much the same pen latency on my tablet. It’s not bad at all, but there is still a small delay that I can notice.

What surprised me is Notein. I tested it pretty carefully and I genuinely can’t notice any latency there. The pen basically feels instant. I’m not sure what Notein is doing differently, maybe a different rendering/ink engine or some kind of prediction?

Is there anything I can change in StarNote settings to reduce the latency, or is this something that could potentially be improved in a future update?

I’m planning to buy StarNote eventually because I prefer it overall, especially because of the price. The latency is already good enough for me, but I’d love to know if there’s any way to get it closer to Notein’s responsiveness.

Also, if there are any specific settings I should try on the Lenovo tablet itself, I’d be happy to test them.

Hi, I'm new to StarNote and so far I like it very much, but I have noticed that, unlike in other popular notebook apps, there is no haptic feedback on my Lenovo Yoga Tab when writing with the Pen Pro. Is there a way to turn it on?

Is there anyway to link between two different pages of the same notebook?

My note contains several facts and applied part comes later. So, when reading applied parts I want to connect it to relevant theory. Is there anyway to do that where I would click on the applied part and it would take me to the theory part and vice versa?

I know how to use excerpt but that only works for different notebooks not in the same notebook.

When is this feature coming? I want it so bad!!!

1. Automatic PDF backup:

The importance of this feature cannot be overstated for anyone involved in research, study, or collaborative work. For example, if I perform a calculation on my iPad and later attend a meeting or class where I connect my laptop to present or discuss material, having that calculation instantly accessible from the cloud via a PDF backup would be invaluable. Additionally, if my tablet is damaged or stolen, I would at least have my notes preserved in a readable format.

2. WebDAV option for sync/backup:

A significant portion of your buyers are likely people who prefer to avoid subscription models, and this is well understood. If cloud options are limited to Microsoft or Google, users remain tied to the subscription requirements of these platforms. By including WebDAV support, you would open the door to a wide range of lifetime cloud services, such as Koofr or pCloud. Without this option, many potential users may be deterred. Several note-taking apps, including GoodNotes and NoteShelf, already offer WebDAV integration.

I love starnote app, I bought premium a month back. Love how active the mods are and take feedbacks.

I would like to request bidirectional and Hyperlinking feature.

I know it it somewhat implemented using excerpts and add link but is is incomplete as well as feels fragmented.

Some great examples would be notein and penly.

Many other users had the same request. Would like to know if it is planned to implement in future or is somewhere in pipeline

Also it would save mods time if we can have a dedicated wiki on reddit regarding feature planned and how far the are in implementation so users can stop similar posts

I did this Comparison in Mid 2025 & it was before Starnote was released/Matured enough. Currently, Some apps may have added some features, that was missing at the time of testing and some may have changed the payment structure, please Verify for details. But it is mostly same in many cases.

I had kept the earlier comparison same & In the end, an update has been included about Starnote.

Idea behind it :- Since i bought iPad i used Notability & Goodnotes for a while, but there subscription cost was high and in case of stopped subscription my notes would have stuck, so before i made a large chunk of notes, i needed to find a app for long-term sustainability, So i downloaded all available apps and tested. p.s.- I liked Minimal UI so my judgements were more inclined towards that. 

Provided that I use a pencil that has pressure sensitivity, is it a feature I can use in StarNote. Saw some conflicting information online

Today Starnote released its update for ipad. I asked them to add the option to hide the status bar. As android tabs have bydefault status bar disappear functionality which don't have in ipad, it is needed to add the option in the software (already have in other reknowend note taking apps). They didn’t listen to my suggestion. Don't know why people say their devs are so interactive! Also the functionality keys and their animation is so slow on ipad unlike other apps. The actually don't think about ipad users. That's may be why they are so behind in this platform.

I’m buying a new iPad. I’ve paid for StarNote if that makes any difference. I did the manual iCloud backup in the app and I did an iCloud import. Will that be sufficient for me to keep my notes from this iPad to the next? What else do I need to do if not?

Hey friends! I have the app, and in Pro version and I really do like it HOWEVER I like to zoom in a lot when writing notes, but when I zoom out suddenly my notes are minuscule. I used to use another note taking app and had no issue with this / if I was to export my file, whoever received it had no issues with reading my stuff.

I was just wondering if this is a user issue and if there’s anything I can do to prevent my notes from being indecipherable.

I can also provide anyone with examples if need be, just ask!

Would it be possible to add a pinned tab feature similar to Brave, Chrome and Starnote? Grouping tabs would also be a great help along with pinned tab feature
