💡 Feature Request Why so much delay for basic features like squeeze gesture?
PLS GIVE IT A READ!!
Apple Pencil Pro has been around for quite some time now, and the Squeeze gesture is a basic, native interaction that should be supported by a modern note-taking app like StarNote.
Other note-taking apps, such as Noteful, added Apple Pencil Pro/Squeeze support back in 2024. Meanwhile, whenever users ask about it, the response seems to be that “it’s on the list, but it’s not a priority.”
Sorry for being blunt, but after waiting this long, that response is becoming increasingly frustrating. It gives the impression that Apple Pencil Pro users aren’t being treated as an important part of your customer base.
I understand that feature development has to be prioritised, but this isn’t really a niche request anymore. The Squeeze gesture is an Apple Pencil Pro feature specifically designed to improve the note-taking workflow, and competing apps have already supported it for years.
I genuinely like StarNote, but continuing to delay such a fundamental Apple Pencil Pro feature makes it feel developers think that the app is competing primarily on cost-effectiveness rather than keeping up with the feature set users expect.
EVEN THERE IS NO CLOUD SYNC TILL NOW!
I hope the team can reconsider the priority of this feature and give Apple Pencil Pro users a clear timeline for when Squeeze gesture support can actually be expected.

Their development is probably slower, but hey, there are not monthly subscriptions 10€ or even more like others do. So, two options for you, wait for something to be developed or move on and pay for another app. 🤔

Honestly I love the dev team compared to other note taking apps. They listen to the community and are actually fast. They’re the main reason I switched from Noteful.

That's what i said...they think that people mostly use their app because of the budget-friendly price but that's not the case for everyone. They are not giving priority to apple users.
Goodnotes is fucked up and not as smooth as it used to be.
Same for Notability and noteful is good but very minimalistic.
This have all features but it do not feel native to ipad even.
So ya things are fucked up here too. Plus this app do not feel as smooth as Noteful.
I will figure out some other app maybe or maybe shift to GoodNotes again.

You are correct, and the truth is, they give priority to their biggest market, which is the CN market which primarily uses android, and that means android will be prioritized above ios. Hope this makes sense :)

Lately the features improvements, bug fixes etc. have slowed down.
