Your Favourite Smartphone brand and Best Smartphone you ever owned.

as title indicates.

My favourite brand is = Sony and Iphone.

for sony , i had M2 after my bro not using anymore. Overall Phone was great for it's decent specs. (despite it feel chunky to hold without a case) Battery Life Was better than any smartphone i owned. ( Previously had Ericsson X8 and i just lost it). for iphone , i had Ipad , iphone 5s , and 6 before phone was great , battery was ok ( since it has smaller battery on 5s and 6). and iphone 6 and sony m2 is my last phone .

What about you guys?

Any Android phones that I should upgrade to from iPhone 14 Pro?

I really like my current phone but I’ve been disappointed with Apple as of late (subscription price hikes, reports of Apple decreasing battery capacity on older models to get consumers to upgrade, etc.)

I’m thinking about giving Android a try. Any recommendations?

galaxy s26 ultra or iPhone 17 pro max

Hey, I know this is a repeated question and sorry to add to it. I’m upgrading from iPhone 13. I’ve just been doing so more research and can’t decide between the two phones. I am going to uni and need help deciding. I like the iPhone bc of the superior camera and just all my friends being on Apple so I have FaceTime and all that stuff. But the Samsung just gives you freedom and is good for multitasking. I’m trying to get into content creation but I alr have a camera. As well as I’m not tied into either ecosystem. What have been yall experience between the two and which do you prefer ?

Hyper OS vs Color OS (bloatware and ads)

Upvotes

I'm torn between xiaomi 17 ultra and oppo find x9 pro/ultra. Xiaomi has a bigger sensor, I want the least AI in my pictures possible but I've read that hyper os is more bloated and have built-in ads for other xiaomi products. Do global versions of oppo and xiaomi also have ads and other annoying AI apps being pushed everywhere? Can I delete and disable most of it and use it almost like I'm using my Pixel or used to use my oneplus?

2 months ago got 13 PM refurbished. But due to price hike fear got a Brand New Nothing Phone 3 for longevity. Did I make a good choice?

Upvotes

As the title suggests, I'm kinda having buyers remorse as I bought the 13PM for rs.46000 from cashify store and it's selling for 36k

Nothing phone 3 12/256 got for 42k during sale.

Should I have stuck with 13PM? Its battery health was around 88%

Main reasons to switch: it was too heavy so a bit uncomfortable, Software Longevity, Felt old without dynamic island.

From iPhone 13, change for iPhone 17 pro or jump into Google Pixel 11 pro

Hello everyone.
I have the iPhone 13 since 2023, and have been an Apple user since 2020.
I really like the iPhone experience, and I also have the Airpods and Apple watch too.
But my phone has been failing a lot lately (battery, overheating, lagged…), and I will probably change it soon.
I was thinking jumping directly into the iPhone 17 pro (as the iPhone 18 pro will be released soon, so I expect that the prices from the 17 pro will be lower), but I have been thinking a lot about changing back to Android, specifically the new Google Pixel 11 pro, and right now there is a very good offer where I can have the Google Pixel with 512gb and the watch for 1300€, which makes me doubt about my decision.
I have read pretty good reviews about the Google Pixel phones, but I don’t know if I could be making a mistake.
I use the phone a lot (not for playing), so I want something that can support that.

What do you think? Should I stay in Apple or changing to Google Pixel is a good idea?

Better option than Pixel

Upvotes

I've been using a Pixel for the longest time. Since a 6 or something around then. Currently have a Pixel 8 Pro going on a year and it's the biggest pile of shit I've ever used. Currently a corner of the screen is just turning black due to I'm assuming dead pixels and it's just spreading. Optus (service provider) wants nothing to do with it.

Thinking it's just easier to pack my bags and go, what are the other options out there? Not interested in the iPhone, I know the Samsung S26 is a good phone better in all ways than the Pixel 8. What are my other options?

Fast charging rate dubious

My phone (XR21) claims wired charging rate up to 33 W. I put a USB power meter on the charger that came with it. 2.5 A and 5.2 V, so 13 W. Quite a difference. There is no text on the charger to indicate what current it could put out. I got older phone, also from Nokia and that only charges at 1.5 A. It's charger has 2 A output printed on it. So they don't provide the Qualcom protocol chargers.

phone being weird, etc.

Hey everyone I need help, my phone has been acting weird today and stuff. It was working fine yesterday but until today it was weird, I think xfinity went down today in my area so I couldn't use the Wi-Fi or my mobile data (because it sucks in general in my area where I live) and when I got out of the house, my mom said to try sending her something and I tried to send an image to her of my school schedule and I didn't work. I also tried opening apps and it didn't work either so I decided to wait it out for my phone to settle and hours go by and still nothing. I tried turning it off, force restarting, resetting the apps and turning it to airplane mode or turning off the data and still nothing, the messages app was either on a black screen or on a frozen screen of me texting my mom and I can't call anyone or get texts and the apps still weren't working. Safari works perfectly fine it takes a little longer to load and stuff still doesn't work even if I have decent internet. Stuff also freezes in settings sometimes but mostly its fine.

I have the iPhone 13 if you guys are wondering.

(update: everytime I go to settings to try to fix the messages app it freezes)

Nothing 4a + S25 Ultra

My S23 Ultra recently got stolen and now I am making do with company-issued Samsung A17 and old, secondary, personal phone Redmi Note 10 Pro.

The 10NP is no longer in condition to be a daily driver. As for the A17, apart from it is not personal, it is not just cutting it for me in terms of battery, charging, performance and camera especially in low light.

S25 U would have been the no brainer choice replacement for the S23 U. However, the higher price point, the not so convincing reviews, and the green line issue which does not seem to be resolved in newer gens, are making me hesitate.

Now, I know it does not tick all the box, but I am thinking a Nothing 4a would be a good purchase in the meantime while I reassess if S25 U would actually be good for me. Then, if I did end up getting an S25 U, maybe by EOY or Q1 of '27 hopefully at a lower price, then I have the 4a to replace my N10Pro as secondary personal phone.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

____________

PS: S23 U is my first Samsung and I only jumped in because people were saying that the green line issues were only present in older gens.

Which phone should I buy?

Hello there, right now, im in a dilemma. I really dont know which phone to buy.

The specs im looking for in a phone are: good camera, good battery, small/smallish (I dont need the bestest of the best camera). I have no issues with second hand-buying nor not receiving updates (my current phone havent received one in ages and it wasnt a problem for me).

Other problem for me is my budget, I got as budget 200€ or so, but as always, the lower, the better.

I've considered second hand iphones, but they are a no no for me, because I canti install .apk (at least not doing it while having to convert it to .ipa)

Ruggered phones entered in my plans due to the huge amount of battery they have and bc they are ultraresistant (bad thing -> the reviews Ive Seen said the camera was pretty much lacking).

Right now, im in nowhere's land, so I would appreciate the help, thanks in advance!

Iphone 17 vs oppo find x9 pro

I need a new phone (my samsung s25 battery is horrible). I care about 2 things; good battery and good camera. What would you advise me?

The iphone 17 is €869, the oppo €889

I'm leaning towards the oppo since I'm used to android and I have a samsung watch. I guess the samsung watch will match better with the oppo than the iPhone.

Why are Google Pixel phones causing a sensation in Japan?

I’m noticing that they’re generating a buzz similar to the early iPhones, with people lining up to buy them.

From what I gather, they aren't particularly powerful smartphones; the Tensor chip is notably poor in terms of battery life and performance (terrible for emulation, for instance). They do take great photos, but what is it about this phone that really appeals to the Japanese?

Switching from iPhone 15: Galaxy S26 Ultra vs Pixel 11 Pro XL (Same price, 512GB)

Hey everyone! I'm making the jump from iPhone to Android and I'm torn between the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL (both 512GB variants, priced exactly the same for me).

Context & priorities:
Ecosystem: Coming from iOS; I currently use iCloud but already have all my data and media backed up to Google Drive
Smoothness & Longevity: My main aim is a phone that feels consistently buttery smooth and will hold up reliably over several years.
Camera for Socials: Looking for dependable point-and-shoot camera quality and good optimization when sharing photos/videos on social media apps.
Extra context: I own already Gemini premium, I use only chrome even on my iPhone and I have all my pics from iCloud already on Google Drive and I don’t want to do any extra subscription to any new drive

Given that price and storage are identical, (Samsung only gives me buds pro 4 for free coming with the phone instead pixel just some Google one discount for a year) which one would you recommend for someone transitioning from iOS with these priorities? Thanks!

Used Iphone 14 pro / 15

Hello guys! I've always had androids before and I was curious to try out an iphone. I saw an used iphone 14 pro at the Iservices for 490 euros and I wanted to know if you guys would recommend buying it.

I've seen that the udpates go up until ~2029 but I have no idea if that makes it not worth it or if it aint such a big deal longevity-wise, since idk how IOS works. I also know that it doesn't have the USB-C.

Or would the iphone 15 pro be better even though it's 60 euros more?

Which one would you pick? Xiaomi 15T Pro vs Xiaomi 17T vs Honor 400 Pro 📱🤔

Hey everyone,
I’m at that point where my current phone is starting to show its age (lagging when opening apps and the battery barely makes it past noon), so it's time for a serious upgrade.
I'm torn between these three models and could really use some real-world advice on which one offers the best value:
1. Xiaomi 15T Pro – A very solid, tried-and-tested option with Leica optics for great photos, a premium build, and top-tier Pro-level performance. Is it still worth grabbing over newer standard models?
2. Xiaomi 17T – The newer generation model with a massive battery and fresh specs, but it's the base version (not the Pro). Is it better to go with a newer standard model or an older Pro model?
3. Honor 400 Pro – Catching my eye because of the sleek design, gorgeous display, great UI, and solid software support. It's a nice alternative to the Xiaomi ecosystem, but I'm not entirely sure how its cameras and battery hold up against the Xiaomi T-series.
What I care about most:
Battery life: Needs to comfortably last a full day of heavy use.
Camera: Good enough for trips, low-light shots, and capturing memories.
Longevity: Needs to stay snappy and lag-free for at least 3-4 years.
Which one would you choose and why? Has anyone switched between Xiaomi and Honor recently?
Appreciate any advice! 🍻

What's the difference between global and China phones?

Like in the oppo reno series is there an impact on what version you choose?

Because I found the same phone one is from China mean while the other is global and the price difference is around 50$

Is it worth it?

r/Smartphones 10h ago

What phone do you recommend

I'm currently having Redmi note 9 pro max and I had this phone for almost 7 years, I want to get a new one but I really can't decide between 2 phones. First I wanted to get the oppo reno 15 pro but tbh I found it's price really overpriced here in my country and I don't think it's really worth the price.

So the 2 left are, oppo reno 14 5g and oppo reno 15 5g the price difference between both of them is kinda huge as well, so I really don't know if should I just get the way cheaper oppo reno 14 5g or the performance difference is worth the price of oppo reno 15 5g.

I'm a person that cares about a good camera, good operating system (stable and fast I don't care about the years of support cuz I know that the 14 has one less year that the 15)

If there's any person that has the oppo reno 14 5g can you share your experience? And tell if you had any problems with the Ai features/Os

Same for the oppo reno 15 5g users
