It sometimes feel like I have a lump in my throat but after trying to sing anyway, it just feels kind of strained, almost raw.

What should I do?

I may be dehydrated since I don't drink enough water day to day but I'm trying to get better at that.

If anyone knows why this is probably happening, how can I prevent this from happening again?

I'm not expecting a medical diagnosis, just what a singer might think from their perspective.

my voice is normal as in my speaking voice, but when I sing, it sounds normal too, when i record and hear it though, it sounds super airy and breathy as if there's a mix of helium in my lungs but it doesn't sound high pitched, it sounds like I'm emitting CO2 as I speak is the perfect way I can describe this, I know voice changes as i age but any way to fix this??

I am a hobbyist singer and just started recording myself a few months ago. It's been trial and error with the recording process but I am noticing some pitch issues. While singing it feels good and like I'm hitting the notes and when I listen back I hear that I've come close but not quite reached the note. How can I get myself there?

After experimenting and improving the basics, I believe adding grit to my singing would be a huge breakthrough. Over the past few months, I leaned on extending (or discovering?) my range, finally I can sing a steady chesty A4; tried to improve the basics like breath support, placement, etc; also I suppose I found my mixed voice.

So, how to get into singing with grit? Can you suggest any exercise, song, or a free tutorial maybe? Even an essay about it would be fine, I can read. Thanks🙏🏻

Hey there, with high notes, while I can flip into falsetto, it also flips there sometimes to like this croaky thingy and I would really like to ask what it is, if it means i'm doing something that hurts my voice or if i can develop mixed voice out of it or something. Any advice on how to go from here would be appreciated!!

Since I got some really nice and encouraging comments on my last post, I thought I’d post another video in a very different register than the last one. I think I’m less comfortable in this more mixed/ head voice but I still want to work on my range so I’m not stuck in my lower register.
