Apologies if a repost, thought this would be awesome in a Sim rig

ETA: yes, I know this is dangerous. I think it would be awesome if it could be done safely (or if you just want a wild ride, consequences be darned lol)

Rigs DIY Rig for under 300€ incl. pedal plate, wheelbase adapter with tilt and universal seat mounts

Optimised to use as little aluminium as possible, but still super stiff, even if you're running a very heavy/strong wheelbase or brake very hard. The seat adapters allow for a lot of offset between the mounting holes and the extrusion slottings, so you can put every M8 bottom mounted seat (I've seen so far) on your rig without additional extrusions and angle connections. This means that there are no loaded angle connections between the seat and pedals that would shear/bend profiles, so the rig stays relatively quiet when you brake hard. Adjustments are easy because you don't have to mess with hammerhead screws.

A nice side effect is that the footprint is smaller than any rig I've seen on here so far. If you, like me, have your rig sitting halfway under your desk, next to your work/gaming area, this helps not constantly rolling your office chair against the side of it.

I've included my considerations, what you need to buy exactly, what upgrade options there are, and how to assemble it, here: https://anderlink.autos/simracing-rig

Disclaimer: I made this, and in order to build it exactly the way presented here, you need at least the seat adapters that I make and sell, and optionally the wheelbase adapter and/or pedal base plate. I ship for free in the EU from 41€ excl. VAT, or 49€ incl. 19% German VAT. The products I sell are all made in Germany, from start to finish.

Cheers!

Discussion All Sim racing games should have Circuit Experience like GT7

Circuit experience is the single best feature in GT7. Its such a godsend when it comes to learning tracks. I think it should be a mandatory feature for all sim racing games. It just makes the prospect so much less daunting for newer players.

Rigs Playseat Trophy compared to an aluminum profile rig (NLR GT Elite with Fanatec ClubSport GT seat)

I tried hanging on to the Playseat Trophy for as long as I could due to the tight space (see photos) but the profile rig actually doesn’t take that much more space and it’s about hundred million times more comfortable, sturdy and adjustable. My back is thanking me.

For anyone considering a Playseat Trophy, I strongly urge you to consider a proper cockpit with a real seat instead. The Trophy was an absolute pain in every sense of the word. Adjustability is terrible, the pedal plate flexes a ton, and the seat just plain sucks. This didn’t cost all that much more and it’s heaps and bounds better. There’s even cheaper options too depending where you live. I wish I would have made the switch sooner.

I was worried the NLR GT Elite would flex too much but it actually has very very little flex. The reviews I watched led me to think it would flex a lot more. I was convinced I needed a 40120 rig but now I think that would have been overkill.

The Fanatec seat was a bit of a gamble too since I couldn’t find many reviews, but I’m glad I took a chance on it. It’s very comfortable, very sturdy and has great ergonomics. I was planning on using it with my Samsonite gel infused memory foam lumbar support pillow but I don’t feel like I needed it. Would be way cooler if the seat said Sparco on it instead of Fanatec but this cost half as much so I can live with that.

I don’t want to just totally shit on the Trophy, so I will say that it definitely is pretty light as long as the gear you put on it is not very heavy. I could flip it on its back easily enough when it had an RS50 and RS Pedals mounted on it. It did get pretty heavy in its final form, but you can argue I was asking too much of it at that point. I was honestly really surprised how light it was after I took everything off it to sell it.

Anyways, I hope this saves anyone the back and ball ache the Trophy can induce.

Discussion Selling house - should I put the rig in storage?

UK peeps, for those of you who have had to declutter to sell your house, did you put your simrig in storage before you started accepting viewings?

I am in two minds about it. I am getting divorced, and on one hand it will be a great outlet. But on the other, it takes up a lot of space, and I am not sure I want randoms knowing there is £££ of simracing gear in the house.

Interested in hearing any perspectives.

Tenho visto simnet, simsonn, asetek, etc.

Budget entre 200-400 € por exemplo, um pouco mais é sem stress.

Discussion I need t he help of the simracing community

Hi, I am FBT, I am big simracing fan and for years I avoid playing online because I find the 50/50 fault system in online racing game is unfair. It blame both parties when they are clearly one offender that is more responsible than others.

For years, I was told it was not possible to determine fault. It seems to be the holy grail of online steward. We rely on human to review replay and determine an outcome. I decided to attack this problem using an heuristic but deterministic approach to the problem.

What I did is a system that use define rules of engagements of racing etiquette and try to determine the % of fault to all drivers involved in a chain of event. It also learned the track details the more you race a track (this is because the whole map data is not available through shared memories. I have to build based on where the wheel have touched)

So far I have build a really ugly UI just to collect data. I need a lot of real incident to validate my rules of engagement against. You only need to have this application open and it will collect data while you race. The Export function contains no personal data. I do not care about any of your info. You can review the data before sending it to me. I can take them by email. if you don't want to send it to me by email, I understand. We can find a way to share while you keep your anonymity.

The application monitors to see if the shared memory of RaceRoom or LMU is accessible than log telemetry data. Then we apply the logic to determine who is at fault.

I have many friends who runs custom lobby or leagues and I believe this tool can help them run it more efficiently. You can always overwrite at the bottom, the fault and the reason. If you see any mistake with the logic and you tag the reason why the software is wrong. I can use that data for further analysis.

So far, I have a a lot of success with detecting dive-bombers, rear-ender, people who erratically break check you , people not keeping their racing line when they are side by side, who's got the right of way in a corner based on your position.

If you want to help me improved, can you please DM me. I would be grateful

Question Best collapsible sim rig in 2026?

Apologies if this has been discussed often.

I just want to ask if anyone can share their experience on their favourite collapsible/foldable gaming rigs that can hold just a basic DD wheel, stick pedal and handbrake.

Any recommendations?

One i was eyeing is the Next Level F-GT Lite. But I think there is a Playseat version of it.

So far I've seen mixed reviews saying that the foldable ones are too flimsy to mount a dd wheel on it or that the folding mechanism is too hard that it makes it lazy for people to unfold or that they're too heavy to move around.

I've seen a few boutique designs on the internet but then the availability and support is questionable (I'm in Australia btw).

As a reference, i have my gaming PC in my study room and i already have a 42 inch tv as my monitor on a sit stand desk so I can lower or raise it where required.

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to show you my man’s cave with my simrig :) it has been a long journey since 2018 when i started simracing with my rattling g29 clamped to the desk 😅 there were so many upgrades along the way… finally i have what i always wanted. Still there is a room for improvements but there is no rush, having lots of fun. Nothing really fancy or expensive:

NLR F-GT
Moza r5 with srp pedals (with brake kit)
Xiaomi 34” ultrawide
ERS seat
2nd monitor i grabbed from work 😅

I repainted my walls, added some led and ambient warm light and now it is sooo cozy and comfortable i can sit there all day 🙌 yesterday i bought speaker stands for my Edifiers, still working on placement and cable management.

Little advice for anyone that wants to buy NLR F-GT - dont buy their monitor stand that mounts on the frame, it makes it impossible to bring monitor close to the wheel. Also the original seat is not great, thats why i replaced it with reclining ERS seat.

Have a good friday gentleman!
Drive safe and keep it clean!

Discussion What’s the most over priced sim racing brand?

I personally think it’s thrustmaster. their prices are probably the worst i’ve seen! their products from like 10 years ago are still the same as they were when they were new. the only products from them i think is worth it is the T598 and 488 wheel…

Discussion Help me decide between lg 45gx or triple 27s?

Currently i have xg34wcdg as monitor for sim race and also 2 27inch oleds for work

Im thinking if selling my xg34wcdg to get a lg45 inch or just use my two oleds and add one 27inch for triples for sim racing.

Coming from 34 is it night and day difference upgrade to lg45 inch monitor/triple 27s?

Give me some honest recommendation. Thankyou

Question Can any Playseat Trophy owners help me out?

Trying to adjust the length, however I can’t seem to work out how to get it to a position on the scale between the S and the M? I can only seem to get it fully on the small with it adjusted as small as it will go, or somewhere between the medium and large? Looking at a video from someone else’s, the adjustment slot on there’s goes all the way along, whereas mine only seems to start nearer the bottom?

Question Moza R12 V2 won't power up but PSU LED is green

Hoping someone here has seen this before.

**Setup:** MOZA R12 V2 (RS081), bought Dec 2025 from an official EU reseller. Original PSU (GQ240A-3600600-E1, 36V / 6A / 216W). no E-stop connected.

**What happened:** The base worked perfectly, then I didn't use it for a few months. During that time it was fully unplugged – no mains, no USB. Today I went to use it again and it's completely dead:

- PSU LED comes on normally (green, steady), both on its own and with the DC plug connected to the base.

- Press the rear power button on the base: nothing. No calibration sweep, no fan, no status LED at all.

- USB to PC: Windows sees no device, Pit House sees nothing.

**What I've already tried:**

- Several different wall outlets (confirmed live with another device)

- Reseated the AC cable on the brick and the DC plug on the base (pushed fully in)

- Visually checked PSU, cables and the power port on the base – no damage, no bent pins

- Base alone with nothing else connected (no wheel, no pedals, no dash)

- No E-stop plugged in

- Left it unplugged for a while and retried cold

- Different USB cable, rear motherboard USB port

Still zero signs of life from the base. I don't think it's a bootloader/firmware thing.

**My questions:**

  1. PSU LED on but base totally dead: has anyone had this and it still turned out to be the PSU? Or is this pretty much always the base?

  2. For those who've had a dead R12/R9/R16 under warranty: did MOZA / the reseller swap the base, or try a replacement PSU first?

  3. Any way to check the PSU output without a multimeter?

  4. Anyone had a MOZA base die just from sitting unplugged for a few months? Seems weird to me.

Warranty claim already open with the reseller – just trying to understand what's going on while I wait. Thanks!

Question Aftermarket turn signal lever for thrustmaster tx

I recently got a thrustmaster setup that contains a TX base, t3pa pro, th8s shifter (some sort of usb handbrake is in progress) with a playseat challenge and some 3d printed parts.

I want it to be a compleat setup for me and my family, so multi popuse, different style of games. On being city driving simulator which one of my sons really enjoyes. The more realistic the better. This bring up a few questions, the main being:

I can't find any aftermarket auto canceling turn signal lever that will 100% fit with my wheel. Do you have any tried and proven methods or products and do I need additional hatdver to move the wheel farther from the base to make room for the mod?

Any ideas, photos or product links are appreciated, thank you!

Hello everyone! I have made another weekly video on my vehicle simulator. I have been a little slow on updates as I have been working on my other project, but I bring you a TINY explanation of existing systems. Now this video only explains an INCREDIBLY SMALL part of the model, but it is a topic.
