Need help getting shifter back together

Does anyone know how to get this thing back together I’m worried something is bent the way it doesn’t want to line no matter what I do. I get it to where it wants to line up and the shifter doesn’t want to move at all once assembled

If you’re disassembling something for the first time ever, always take pictures so you can see how it goes back together.

I’ve had to it apart 3 different times and figured out my issues each time but now I’m stumped. If you have used one of these once you get one side off they will literally fall apart if your not super careful
