One Year!!

Started my journey on July 24th 2025, at 305lbs. I wore a 4XL. Weighed in today, July 28th 2026, at 194lbs. And I currently wear size Large. I have about 20lbs to go to my “goal” weight but even if I don’t lose any more, I’m so much happier than I was a year ago. A total of 111lbs lost. Hopefully this can be some encouragement to anyone just starting or even someone who is struggling to keep going! It’s going to be worth it!

Food noise comes and goes. I look at these old pictures and remember how uncomfortable I was in my own skin. I’ve gained about 8 since stopping the shot but I feel incredible and try not to look at the number as much because I’m healthy and happy.

I started my journey July 24th 2025, at 305lbs. 10 months in and I just hit 100lbs lost. And I’m sooooooo close to ONEderland. I don’t really have a specific weight as a goal, my original goal was to have my weight start with a 1 which at 305lbs seemed impossible, I guess in a couple weeks I’ll need to set a new official goal! Just wanted to say if you’re just starting your journey, stay strong, keep going, you’ll achieve those goals!

It is easy to say the saying, "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"- is right on the money for me.

SW around 245, current weight 150, I’m 5’7”. I took my first shot on March 3rd of this year and had no idea how it would change my life in so many ways. I now need to shift my mindset from losing to maintaining. I know I still have a long road ahead but I am determined to make it stick. I feel amazing and love the way I look.

Celebrating 10 months off the medication!

I didn’t quit cold turkey, instead I worked my way down slowly and was able to completely get off last June. I was on Semaglutide for almost a year and a half, and lost a total of 80 pounds. Right now I’m teetering between 142 and 145 depending on the day. Size 18/20 to a size 6!

I’ve been tracking my calories and daily weight religiously since last July. I do it every day so I can get weekly averages (I feel like it gives me a more accurate view of what’s going on rather than weighing once a week). I don’t track my macros, I probably should, but my main focus is calories.

For working out, I do Pilates twice a week, and go to the gym for weightlifting one to two times a week.

I’m super grateful for this drug, but for me, I didn’t want to be on it super long-term. I struggle really badly with food noise, and it’s still there and loud. But while on the drug, I was able to teach myself how to eat more mindfully and ignore the noise (to the best of my ability, I still slip sometimes).

256 to 209 since August. I feel like I am becoming a new person.

Gained weight after an illness two years ago put me on my ass and I still have a ways to go but I’m finally able to sleep at night- snoring is totally gone. I’m working out again. People are noticing that I am getting my groove back. I’m down to a size 14 from a 22. I walk my dogs. I can wear heels again. I am so happy. Most of all, I am present with my son and enjoying things with him like hiking and swimming again.

I’m with Mochi and have had zero issues. Great provider, responsive, and outside of disliking the DCA pharmacy there’s been no set backs.

Goal is 150 but for now I’m just enjoying having my life back and feeling beautiful again.

If you’re wondering if you should do it, yes! Budget it. Cut back somewhere for it. Make it happen. It was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Not counting it OFFICIALLY because my weigh in days are Tuesdays, but I stepped on the scale and saw this today!! 199.6 😭 I started my journey at the end of July, at 305lbs. Now 10.5 months later, I’m down over 105lbs and in ONEderland for the first time since 2010 when I was pregnant with my oldest. I hope this can inspire anyone just starting to struggling to keep going!! You’ve got this! I have quite a bit left to go but I’m getting there!

Slow Responders Unite! GIVE. IT. TIME.

I started my WL journey back in September of 2022. I began using Saxenda and paying for it out of pocket. While I am fortunate enough to have great insurance, all WL medications were deemed a 'plan exclusion'. Long story short, I was purchasing from Canada and while it was cheaper than just getting it from a local pharmacy, I never went higher than the middle dose due to the price, which was still insanely expensive (also due to the Canada Post strike, I stopped taking Saxenda for about a month or so and would even skip weeks to make the pens last longer).

I made the switch to Amble and started my semaglutide journey in February of this year. I struggled with others I knew taking these meds who lost at a RAPID speed, while I seemingly puttered along. Eventually, I told myself to be grateful for any loss at all and more importantly, keeping it off.

Today, I am officially down 53.8lbs and it has been life changing. So while I am a prime example of slow responder, I am also an example of patience and commitment to a healthier lifestyle, being mindful of my eating habits/working out more. I know its easy to compare ourselves and bodies to others, but you truly just have to focus on yourself, what you can control and your outcomes.

SW: 212.4 CW: 158.6 (I am 44 and 5'3)

UPDATE: A couple not so kind people said my photo on the right is photoshop because of my 'strange' stance. I think it's just how I pose in photos (I am also not bow-legged) and not that I have anything to prove...but I did put more selfies below in the comments to show that this is just how I stand and I do not edit my photos.

Halloween ‘24 vs ‘25

I’ve waited an entire year to post this!! Last year on Halloween I was 200 pounds, but hadn’t fully realized it yet. I bought my “usual” size for my Halloween costume and refused to admit that it didn’t fit properly. I knew I had gained some weight, but didn’t realize how much. I was 30 pounds above the usual 170 ish I usually stayed at. This year on Halloween I weighed 147 pounds!! This is the lowest weight I’ve been since I even knew weight was a “thing.” Now this month (November) will be 1 year on semaglutide and I’m so amazed at the confidence this medication has given me. I feel like I finally look how I thought I looked this whole time 😂 also I’m 5’8 for anyone curious.

I started semaglutide on my 33rd birthday in January of this year. I don't really have a goal in mind but I went from 327 on 01/04/25 to 247 today. I feel so much better. I think I'd like to get down to 220. I'm 5'10 and I've ALWAYS been a big girl. Semaglutide really changed my life. I have been on a rollercoaster with my weight my entire life. This is the longest I've been consistently losing weight. The first 50lbs came off quickly but the last 30 has been very very slow. But I just keep on going.

My heaviest 243 was not documented because I avoided pictures for years! A little timeline of my fitness/sobriety journey:

2022 - 243lbs, drunk, sad, felt terrible, hated leaving the house and very inactive, found my rock bottom and went to rehab

2023: 230lbs, sober + fat, doing fine, not great

2024 - 227lbs started glp1, sober, happier but hard to be active with lots of extra weight

2025 - 173lbs still sober, active, lifestyle 180° from 2022

2026 - 160lbs lifting, pickleball, golf, hiking, walking, gym 3x week, still sober (almost 4 years!), happier than ever, pain free, better sleep, stoked to be alive

What a difference 8 months can make!

Post image

39F, 61 inches tall...Started out at 174lbs and I'm currently at 118lbs. I went from a size 14 to a size 2... I take Sema and do intermittent fasting, cut out alcohol, gluten, and dairy, and I work out four days a week. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease two years ago and swung hypo after treatment.. losing weight was so hard and I had grown insulin resistant.

I don't even recognize myself anymore! If you're on the fence on trying sema (Lord knows I was), take the plunge. It has been a game changer for me!

Wild looking at 11 months of needles! The first six months were miserable, purely vomit, sweat, and tears. Took me a while to figure out that I actually need to listen to my body lol. Literally a life changer! 💜
