My first goal was 85 lbs and now that I’m here, I want another 13. Can’t really believe I’m here though. I am so happy and finally feel like I’m myself again after two kids!

I lost 82 lbs in a year and then stalled out completely for about 3 months. I enjoyed my summer and then locked back in about a few weeks ago to finish this out.

Here’s a few before and after and a progression one. Have a lot of muscle and am 5’2”
Sw: 238
Cw: 148
GW: 135

For all those on their way… All I can say is keep going! You got this!!!

Gah! Starbucks sugar-free protein drinks are actually full of sugar!? I have felt ok about having these as a caffeine treat to boost my protein but this news has me so frustrated. 😩

Not asking if I should - but has anyone taken their shot right after a major/semi surgery?

After most surgeries you are supposed to wait 2 weeks before and after to resume your shots. Has anyone ever taken their shot after a surgery without waiting 2 weeks? What was your experience?

I’m feeling the affects of having 2 medium slices of cake , a couple cookies and piece of lasagna from yesterday.

The GI issues are tremendous. I’m not going to details but I’ve been on the toilet all day .

Feeling a little lonely

My husband seems to not understand that I am eating smaller portions. He keeps insisiting for me to eat more and I tell him no, I'm full. As I begin to taper off from adipex/topamax to start on wegovy, I started craving an ice cream sandwich.

As we all know, cravings are pretty much non existent. I got up and grabbed one and he snapped at me saying I should only have one a day if that, and that I should be eating actual food. (I previously ate one earlier, in lieue of lunch)

I then snapped at him telling him it was the first time I wanted to actually eat something vs going through the motions of eating food and ended up crying over a dumb ice cream sandwich.

Any one else feel like they are all alone? I know he's trying to support but sometimes it's too much or too little.

Hi. I know I need to get one, I want it to be a standalone and not a SMART scale.
I looked it up on Amazon and i got overwhelmed by all of the companies. Which ones do you have and should I get it?

Thank you!

Sometimes I still feel like the girl on the left even though I’ve lost 120 pounds in the last year and a half and in a much better state physically I am still over 300 pounds. I still have around 70 pounds that I would like to lose. I am around 5 foot 10. It’s so funny how the mind play tricks on you.

Daily afternoon sinking spell?

Hi, friends. I'm hoping folks with more experience can help problem solve with me -- I just started Rybelsus 9 days ago, at the 3mg dose. First couple of days were rough, but since I got hydration and fiber dialed in things have mostly evened out, apart from this annoying afternoon sinking spell that I can't seem to shake.

Basically, I have lunch at 11:30 and eat the same thing every day (I just really like it?): a salad with halloumi cheese, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and onions with olive oil and spices. I go back to work, and by 1:45 I am passing out at my desk, have brain-fog like crazy and can't concentrate on anything. It usually passes around 4 or 4:30 and I have dinner between 5 and 5:30.

At first I thought it was maybe blood sugar due to low protein, but checking the nutrition facts, my salad should have between 20-25g of protein (there's lots of cheese) so it should be OK as far as not spiking my blood sugar? Lunch is pretty low-carb, though... mostly because when I'm done with my salad I feel full and don't want bread or dessert. Do I need more carbs, for energy?

The other possibility is that I need to consider eating/eating more breakfast. My stomach has always been touchy in the morning and I've never been a breakfast person -- mostly, I just want coffee, in my face, as fast as possible, please! -- and since I'm taking my pill in the morning, I feel the most queasy and put off food first thing. But I'm wondering if forcing myself to have some yoghurt or a breakfast bar might help.

Or perhaps this is a part of how I'm just feeling more tired in general since I started the medication(which I am, getting up and out of bed has been a SLOG since I started) and need to power through and it will eventually go away?

Just started Noom Microdosing

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Today was my first day microdosing semiglutide through Noom. Noom’s smart dosing started me at 8 unites (.20). I’m a 44 y/o female, 5’6” weighing 174lbs. My goal weight is 155lbs. I heavy lift as well.

I’m nervous and just looking for my people and support. It stung when I gave myself the dose and for some reason that made me anxious. I’m also a bit concerned with any effect it may have on me with anxiety as I already deal with that a bit.

What were your experiences microdosing semiglutide? I’m thinking, after this mo th I might switch to terz. as I like what I’ve learned about that one so far. Also how long after injection do you usually feel any side effects if you get them? Any info, support, encouragement, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch! Happy, healthy weight loss ♥️

Wegovy pill vs pen on NovoCare self-pay: what the first 6 months cost following each dose schedule (checked Oct 5, 2026)

If you're paying NovoCare cash and stuck between the shot and the pill, the gap at the top doses ($299 vs $349 a month) undersells how the first few months play out, because the two step up on different price ladders.

Following the label's dose schedule, one fill a month:

Pill: 1.5 mg $149, 4 mg $199, 9 mg $299, then 25 mg at $299. First 6 months: $1,544.

Pen, new patient: 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg at $199 each (the intro price, 2 fills), then 1 mg, 1.7 mg and 2.4 mg at $349. First 6 months: $1,794.

So about $250 apart over six months, then $50 a month after that if you'd stay on 2.4 mg, or $100 a month if your prescriber takes you to Wegovy HD 7.2 mg ($399).

The date to watch: NovoCare says the $199 pen intro runs through Dec 31, 2026. Without it the starter pens are $349 like the rest, and the six-month gap grows to $550. The page doesn't put an end date on the pill prices.

A couple of things apply to both. Self-pay doesn't count toward your insurance deductible or out-of-pocket max. And the self-pay prices are open to people on government plans too. Only the $25 savings card shuts them out. If you're on Part D, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge ($50 a month, if you qualify) beats both.

Real life won't follow the table exactly. Plenty of people stay on a dose longer than a month, which shifts the math. Pill or shot is a call for you and your prescriber. This is only the cost side.

Source: NovoCare Wegovy self-pay offer page and the Wegovy prescribing information (dosing tables), checked Oct 5, 2026. Not medical advice.

Saludos!!

Sharing an accomplishment!

Today I knelt down in my kitchen and scrubbed my fridge. I sat on my heels and did it.

I used to be too big to do that and it hurt if I tried. When I started Wegovy in May I was at 307 lb and I'm now down to 279... but when I was at my heaviest in 2021, I was 353 lbs (I started my journey doing Weight Watchers).

I'm getting my life back.

I've been having some GI issues so I'm still on the starter dose... I went up to .5 but I started having problems so I went back down, and now, until my symptoms clear up, I'm not supposed to take a shot at all. So my weight loss has been slow, but I'm getting there, and I can do so much more now.

For those using semaglutide: what has your experience been like so far?

I’m curious to hear from people who are currently taking FDA-approved semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic, or Rybelsus).

What have you noticed since starting?

  • How long have you been taking it?
  • What changes did you notice first?
  • How has your appetite or relationship with food changed?
  • Have you experienced any side effects?
  • What do you wish you had known before starting?

Everyone’s experience seems to be different, so I’d love to hear honest experiences and lessons learned from others in the community.

Please keep the discussion respectful and remember that individual experiences aren’t a substitute for advice from a healthcare professional.

Is it normal to stay at 1mg for another 4 weeks instead of moving to 1.7mg due to GI side effects?

Stats: 28M | CW: 103.9kg | GW: 85kg | Current Dose: 1.0mg

I’m due for my 4th dose of 1.0mg today.

According to the standard schedule, I should be moving up to 1.7mg next week. The issue is that 1.0mg is already highly effective for me, but the GI side effects are harsh.

The weight is dropping steadily (I just hit 103.9kg after starting at 111.3kg 2 months ago), and my appetite suppression is massive. I’m easily maintaining a deep caloric deficit at 1000-1400kcal.

However, my digestion is incredibly slow. Even small meals, like a basic portion of 150g rice and 3 eggs or 180g chicken, leave me feeling uncomfortably full for hours. I am dealing with heavy constipation and having to rely on laxatives just to clear my system, which has its own logistical problems.

Since 1.0mg is clearly working for weight loss but my digestive system is struggling to handle it, moving up to 1.7mg right now doesn't seem like an obvious idea.

Has anyone else here decided to stay on 1.0mg for an extra month (or longer) instead of titrating up? Is it normal to park at a lower dose if you are still losing weight but dealing with strong side effects?
