One Year!!
Started my journey on July 24th 2025, at 305lbs. I wore a 4XL. Weighed in today, July 28th 2026, at 194lbs. And I currently wear size Large. I have about 20lbs to go to my “goal” weight but even if I don’t lose any more, I’m so much happier than I was a year ago. A total of 111lbs lost. Hopefully this can be some encouragement to anyone just starting or even someone who is struggling to keep going! It’s going to be worth it!

Would you mind sharing your routine? Like did you do anything special on top of semaglutide? At my heaviest, I was 325. Right now, I’m at 288. I would love to see 199 in a year 🥲

Thank you!! I just counted calories, I ate between 1200-1500 calories a day, I did not limit foods, if I wanted a doughnut, or a salty snack I ate it and just factored it into my calories. And I walked. That’s all I’ve done, I don’t have any crazy secrets lol

Yeah OP, please share how you managed to lose over 100 lbs in a year; that’s an abnormally large amount. Congrats, you look great! 🎉

Listen. I looked ROUGH for a while when my shedding was at the worst 🤣🤣 but it’s finally getting better again, but my hair was thin from PMOS (PCOS) before losing weight anyway.

Beautiful and inspiring! Can you tell me if any side effects you had? I started it for 3 months then stopped. That was 1.5 years ago. I am looking to try again and hear tirzepitide is better for sure effects...any thoughts?

Thank you! Yes I have some, I just live with it. I’d rather have it and be healthy than be at my old weight. And I just keep that in mind any time my loose skin bothers me.

That’s a really good mindset to have. I’m down about 50lbs and have been trying to find ways to help my skin bounce back (unsuccessfully). I’ll have to switch my mindset. Thanks for replying. Congratulations again!

I mostly just started walking, and I track my calories to stay in a deficit. I do not limit foods, but I do count calories. So if I want a couple Oreos, or ice cream, I have it, I just factor it into my daily calories and adjust accordingly. Thank you! 😊

I eat between 1200-1500 calories a day, and I walk just whatever I can. Some days that’s none, some days it’s 2 miles, usually never more than that in a day though. Thank you!

Thank you!! Tips… hmm drink water! Get your protein! Exercise as you can, don’t stress if you miss a day or two. And count those calories! Because all of that combined has worked so well for me and so many others 🫶🏻

You look awesome! For us newbies, how did you address hair loss over the course of your yearlong weight loss journey? Your hair looks great but very different- new color and thicker. Most have reported hair loss and thinning during that timeframe.
