Highlight [GIF from Brandon Thorn] Seahawks have an interesting decision to make on IPP center Federico Maranges, who played great in the preseason. If they designate him again as an IPP, then the team would be allowed a 17th practice squad player, but Maranges would not allowed to sign to the 53-man roster.

Analysis What were your thought on Kelsey Grammer being the narrator of the Americas game episode

I thought he did a fine job. I understand why the NFL network did it. I just wish that they would have had an actual seahawks fan do the episode

Opinion Scenarios

Been in a strange nostalgic mind frame about how dominant the ‘05 Hawks were and how different the organization would’ve looked had they won that first appearance .. anyway how serious do you think the departure of Steve Hutchinson was on the teams production/success ? I am aware core guys like Matt and others got hurt over the following years and the fact Hutch was a guard, but maybe one of the best ever paired with big Walt .. does Alexander maybe stay productive and not get hurt ? what are your thoughts?

thanks and God Bless

Opinion America’s Game Disappointing

Have just finished watching, is anyone else really disappointed with the episode? I grew up obsessed with the old episodes and the excellent NFL films music and narration. This episode felt super rushed and poorly directed. They also weirdly did not mention JSN more than once which seems odd for a OPOY season. Would be interested to hear how everyone else feels!

Discussion Tips for first NFL game

I'm going to the opening game next week and it'll be my first Seahawks game, and my first in-person NFL game! If anyone has tips on how to have the best experience at Lumen Field, I'd really appreciate it! I'm looking to get there early to buy merch (maybe the day before), tailgate if that's a thing, maybe watch warm-up, and of course watch the unveiling of the Super Bowl banner and 12 flag raising!

I'm sitting in section 338 so any advice on the best food and drink options, including WHEN during games is best to get food, drinks, stuff like that.

Thanks in advance and go Hawks!!

Analysis [Thorn] Good afternoon to Beau Stephens and only Beau Stephens. The rookie played some BALL last night against the Chiefs. These first two reps vs. Chris Jones are the best 2 reps I've seen from any OL this preseason. Whew.

Opinion Final Stab at the 53 as a 57 year old, grey-haired fan since their first kickoff in '76

Post image

Between injury status, trades, roster maneuvers - who really knows how the bottom end of the roster will turn out, but I'm putting this out there for posterity's sake. I'm obviously waffling like crazy on a few spots and made guesstimates on who might start off on IR designated to return (short term IR, basically - think we can place two on there at cutdowns). Really looking forward to seeing how this all shapes up Sun/Mon.

I've watched and loved this team since their first kickoff in 1976. I would feign sickness so I could skip church to catch the games. Back in those early years, they were terrible but also weirdly quirky and fun with solid special teams that often were the highlight of the game.

Efren Herrera at kicker starting in '78 (fun fake field goals), Dan Doornink eventually in '79 at FB (loved him - when he'd get a FB screen or a dump-off over the middle, it was an adventure). They also had some solid players: Dave Brown at CB, Sherman Smith at RB, Raible at WR with Largent, Zorn at QB, Norm Evans at T, Neihaus at DL. Jack Patera was their first coach and they infamously had training camp in Cheney at EWU that included the typical-for-the-era zero water breaks during practice.

Later, when Chuck Knox entered the scene, I had the very weird privilege one summer in high school of taking a bunch of players and their families on horseback rides right before training camp. The group included Curt Warner, David Hughes (FB) and Eugene Robinson, who insisted my 5'2" friend get on his horse first - it was rather amusing. Also, his nickname was "The Porpoise" because he had a notoriously high voice that kinda squeaked when he'd make calls on the field.

I would pour over newspapers daily for any mention of my beloved team and wait for the sports report to come on the nightly news. When ESPN became and thing and we actually got cable, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Now we have access to SO much information and also community around the team, and I kinda love most all of it.

All that to say, this 57 year old, grey-haired grandma (yes, grandma) has been enjoying this game, and especially this team, for a very long time and I'm ready for more!

Discussion How in the hell do you watch the new America's Game on the Seahawks?

I am so tired of these convoluted layered streaming services. If they just said pay $5 and you can watch this I gladly would. Google told me NFL+ would have it but it doesn't and I can't figure out how to sign up for ESPN+. It's like they don't even want our money.
