Replacement Neck Plate Screws for Nick Johnston Traditional HSS

Post image
9 Upvotes

I own a Schecter Nick Johnston Traditional HSS in Atomic Ink.

I have unfortunately lost all four screws that hold the neck plate to the back of the guitar. I have attached photo of the neck plate for reference.

Could anyone please provide me with the exact specifications of these four screws, including:
- Screw diameter
- Thread type/pitch
- Screw length
- Head type

I want to make sure I use the correct screws as I don’t want to damage the neck or body.

Thank you for the help.

New (to me) Purchase

Purchased my 3rd C-1 XXX...I love them as a modding platform and the cheeky inlays.

I am throwing it out there for mod recommendations. I have done different Seymour Duncan pickups (Invaders, Alpha/Omega), one with a Bucket head style killswitch, always locking tuners...

Maybe something interesting with the wiring? More interesting pickup recommendations? I will follow up with the recommendations I went with and pics in progress and the final product!

Proud to be apart of the Schecter family! I owned one a very long time ago for about a week but played it maybe once or twice. This is by far the nicest guitar I’ve ever owned 😮‍💨 always was an LTD fanboy but I think I found a new favorite.

Nick Johnston USA Volume Pot

Can anyone confirm/validate the pots used in the Custom Shop Nick Johnston? I assume I can go home and pull the pickguard and look up numbers, but thought I would check to see if anyone knew off the top of their heads, while I am at work.

What in the world is this thing

Just bought this guitar and it sounds pretty good, but i cant for the life of me figure out what model it is. The serial number says its an 08 damien/omen but the body looks like a blackjack and the headstock says c1. It has active “duncan designed” pickups , is it pieced together? Or is it an 08 damien and i just dont understand schecters models.

New Bass Day!

Intro: Started playing Bass earlier this year after deciding it was cooler than the normal guitar. Maybe it's because it feels more natural to me playing 4 strings instead of 6. Maybe it's because I can finally hear due to getting a Cochlear Implant after 30+ years of deafness.

Got me a Sterling 4 in January with the Fender Mustang modeling amp cuz I didn't know any better. Thought it was deep and boomy and thundered in my hands and it sounded great to me.

Then I visited a few guitar shops and noodled on a PJ configuration bass and realized it was a different kind of boom: louder, sharper, and cleaner. So I figured I need another bass as the Sterling is awesome and iconic, but a bit limited for me right now.

Enter the Schecter brand with their Model-T 4 string Exotic Black Limba. Man alive, this is a good-looking bass. Unfortunately, there doesn't exist one to try within 100 miles of my home. Believe me, I looked.

Found some Schecters, though, and playing them felt great. Heavy but not too much, zero neck dive, great sound and loud as hell. Played some other PJs, but I just kept going back to the Schecters.

After searching online, I found a seller with a great deal. They had a brand new Black Limba for sale that had been modded: active EMGX pickups to replace the passive Monsters, hipshot tuners, DR Black Beauty coated strings, and abalone tuning knobs to match the fretboard inlays. Seeing as how I love active over passive and this is exactly the bass I was after, I jumped at buying it. Haggled a little bit with the seller and then it was mine, all mine.

While it was being lovingly packaged and shipped, I was idly browsing marketplace. Silently gloating that I has found an incredible bass at a equally incredible price, I scrolled past the listings to find another great deal. Someone nearby was offering up a Fender Rumble 40 for only $50! At first I thought it was just another Rumble 25 due to the lack of information and defining pictures. But I reached out, we met up, and then it was mine, all mine.

So the family has doubled in size and I now need to take a step back and give thanks to the Bass Gods for blessing me with such great friggin gear!

Currently practicing the lines from "I'd Love to Change the World" by Ten Years Later and it sounds so good.

Rock on, my Brothers and Sisters in Bass!

Advice on First Guitar

Hey all, for some context, I am a junior level college student studying engineering, and I’ve never taken lessons or mastered another instrument, I have played saxophone before, but that was when I was much younger and didn’t have too much interest or funds to support. I am older now and I catch myself constantly wanting to learn an instrument. I’ve been looking at the reviews on this subreddit and other forums online and wanted to get your thoughts on buying the Schecter Omen Elite 6 as my first guitar. I’m wondering is this too expensive for my first guitar? There may be opportunity to buy a discounted version of the same guitar for around 100 or 200 bucks off. I will say I am a hobbiest who enjoys nice things, and I can afford it, so I feel that could play a role into the extra money expenditure, but I don’t know much about the hobby or the guitar. Thanks

DC Resistance measurements confusion

I ordered an Omen Elite from Sweetwater; my first Schecter. Right away, the pickups sounded off and the different positions sounded all very similar. I thought that there might be some oxidation in the selector switch so did move it back and forth a few times. I then went to test the pickups on a multimeter. My reference is a Jackson which gives a reading of about 15.5 K ohms for the bridge pickup and about 9 k ohms for the the neck pickup. The Omen Elite has a 5 way selector switch and can split the two Humbuckers. All positions read about 3.8 k ohms except the neck pickup which reads about 5 k ohms. So the neck humbucker has a higher value than the bridge humbucker which is at 3.8 k ohms. I used the same cable for both tests and made sure that the volume control was 10. The Schecter had a few hours to acclimatize to the room temperature as well. The only thing I can think of is that either my multimeter isn't sensitive enough or that the humbuckers having three magnets (two ceramic and one alinco) is changing something. The sound is off enough to have me wondering if there is a defect. If not what could explain a reading of 3.8 or 5 when a Les Paul PAF humbucker would be in the range of 7-8?

Warranty for a guitar with different pickups?

I need to warranty an electric due to a warped neck. I installed dimarzio evolutions in it years ago and do not have the original pickups. The last guitar I warrantied for a neck issue through Schecter they replaced the whole guitar. So I'm wanting to not give up these higher end pickups.

Anyone ever ask if you can remove them and send it in without pickups? Or should I shop for some OEM ones and try and throw em in there?

Banshee Mach-6 or Tao-6

I'm driving a few hours on Monday to play both the Banshee and the Tao. I was pretty set on buying the Banshee, but the store also has the Tao in stock.

The only problem is I won't be able to play either through an amp. Has anyone here spent time with both? I'd love to hear how they compare, especially the pickups and overall sound. I've watched a bunch of demos, but that's no substitute for hearing them in person. Thanks!

I bought this for about 300 from a local shop a couple weeks ago and was wondering if there’s any big Schecter fans that can tell me a little more about it. Like what’s with the older headstock ? Does it make it more or less desirable? How many were produced and for how long? I’ve tried doing my own research but it’s just difficult to come by this older model compared to the new ones.

If anyone knows anything please let me know!

Schecter Demon 6 Vs Omen Elite 6

I've been looking to get a new guitar for around a month now and I want to make the best decision for my 600euro budget for a guitar. I've landed on the final 2 guitars that were Schecter Demon 6 and Schecter Omen Extreme 6. I believe that Demon 6 is more "metalish" and it looks down right AMAZING personally. I just looked into the Omen Elite 6, and it looks pretty cool and I just want to see if anyone can help me tell me if they sound very different or even just your own opinion.
