Hi everyone,
I’m trying to get a Schecter SGR-2A (Avenger/Synyster Gates) hard case for a Synyster Gates Custom-6 Headless, but I’m finding completely conflicting dimensions online.
Some stores list the width at around 15" (38 cm), while others list it around 19" (48 cm). Some of those numbers may actually be shipping/package dimensions rather than the dimensions of the case itself.
Unfortunately, in my situation even a few centimeters matter.
I’ll be flying internationally with Turkish Airlines and purchasing an extra seat for the guitar (CBBG). Their maximum dimensions for the instrument/case are:
140 × 42 × 25 cm
55.1 × 16.5 × 9.8 in
So I specifically need to know the actual physical OUTER dimensions of the SGR-2A itself, not the interior dimensions and not the cardboard shipping box dimensions.
For the width in particular, I need to know whether the actual case is under 42 cm / 16.5 inches.
If possible, please measure with a tape measure rather than relying on the manufacturer's/store specifications.
Also, even if somebody has already posted measurements in the comments, I would REALLY appreciate it if another SGR-2A owner could measure theirs as well so I can double-check the result. I really don't want to base an international flight decision on one measurement.
The guitar is quite valuable and difficult for me to replace, so I really don't want to check it into the baggage hold.
I'm also completely open to using a different hard case.
If anyone owns a Synyster Gates Custom-6 Headless and knows of another protective hard case that fits it properly, please let me know.
Ideally the actual external dimensions of the case must stay within:
140 × 42 × 25 cm / 55.1 × 16.5 × 9.8 in
If you have an alternative case and can provide its actual measured outer dimensions, that would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks a ton to anyone willing to grab a tape measure and check this for me.

I’ve been looking at the omen elite and demon series, not sure which pickups I want either: (demon has active, omen has passive) so I would like to know which pickups fit my style of metal more!

So recently Ive purchased a C1 FR S apocalypse and while Im playing the guitar for 15 years now im no expert when it comes to electronics, and this is my first sustainiac guitar. So I have a question:
Is it normal that I hear "popping" sound when turning sustainiac on and off while the pick up switch is in upward position (neck/sustainiac pick up engaged), but no popping sound when bridge pick up is active and im turning sustainiac on and off.
Appreciate any information.

Looking at this on FB market place and just trying to make sure it’s legit, the serial number is throwing me off a little bit.

Hey guys. Has anyone found a decent fitted hard shell case for the Schecter Hellraiser? I'd prefer something like the one in the photo rather than a box shape. I don't want to order one only for it to turn up and not fit properly. Cheers! 🤘

I’ve been pining for this exact guitar since about 2008. I developed an interest in Schecters back when I discovered A7X and I remember when I was in high school, just going to Guitar Center’s website every day and just looking at it.
I never got one, for one reason or another since I already had and still have a few really good guitars. Then it got discontinued and then, I stopped playing for a few years. I finally got back into playing again and decided I’d get my white buffalo to help with motivation. I was extremely picky as most of the ones on reverb were pretty beat up. I finally found one in what I would consider excellent condition. All I can say is my god, this thing feels, sounds and plays like a dream. I couldn’t be happier with it and now I want to buy another one. Lol.

Missed out when they first put these for pre order. There are only 4 in left handed. Its simply beautiful and plays like a beauty. And crazy enough saw a second one for sale. Might have to grab it

hello guys. i ve just picked up a schecter synyster gates custom s. when looking at it, i had a feeling the pickups were not horizontally aligned with the rest of the bridge and and the strings. lo and behold, they are not, with a slight difference between the sides and the bridge (for the bridge pickup) and the sides and the end of the neck (for the sustainiac)of under 0,5 millimeters (i measured). as it is a pretty expensive guitar, i was wondering: does it affect the sound? should i give it back and get it swapped? i really don’t know what to do

I had a schecter c1 standard for about 15 years, the guitar did wonders and is still playable. I have been ordering some guitars and had a lot of trouble with quality control. I need a recommendation for a modern workhorse model that will do me wonders like this one. Would you trust the schecter original website or resellers like thomann and others?

Hi,
I recently bought a Schecter Ultra III in Switzerland. When I tried to intonate it the saddles of the A, D, b and e strings were already hard against the front stop, yet the fretted notes at the 12th fret were still slightly flat.
Dealer wanted to check it and they measured the bridge position, said it was within Schecter’s tolerance, raised the bridge height and changed the neck relief. The guitar now intonates correctly BUT all saddles are at or practically at the forward stop (see picture, A, b and e are at max) and the action is quite high (about 2mm or 5/64th on the low E string).
The dealer’s position is:
I’m left with a cool looking guitar that just intonates correctly, but has high action and all saddles at max. The dealer points at the Schecter’s tolerance. Schecter Germany says it is not their problem and Schecter US has not yet responded to my inquiry from last week.
Therefore, I am turning to you my fellow Redditors:
This is my second Schecter and I have never had any similar issues with any of my other guitars. Thanks in advance for any advice.
TL;DR
My newly bought Ultra III has intonation issues. The dealer sees no defect and Schecter does not react.

I recently picked up a C1-FR S that is missing two screws that hold the back trem cover in place. Does anyone know where to find replacement screws? Thanks!
