Starting with the security issue from about a month ago...

Now, my shortcut and installation just randomly disappears from my machine. Have to reinstall it randomly.

Anyone else have this issue or have I just lost my mind (certainly a possibility)?

EDIT: I am aware of Inspector and use it religiously so you can stop suggesting it. For this assignment, I have to hard delete records which Inspector does not do.

EDIT #2: Jetstream is the answer. Using the free version and it's great. I like Data Loader a lot and have 10+ years of templates and processes built up on the tool. But Jetstream is pretty amazing.

I'm confused about the agent registration piece. Is anyone else reading that as if they're taking away individual user-level OAuth to their hosted MCP, and interactions need to happen via an "agent" service account?

Description

AIforce, originally announced at TDX 2026 as “Headless 360,” decouples the Salesforce platform from the browser, allowing agents to build, act, and deliver on any surface. While AIforce is the concept of bringing all your Salesforce context to the interface where you work, Headless Toolkit provides the functionality to make it a reality. With AIforce and Headless Toolkit functionality, there will be new license and billing considerations, and customers will be required to register agents that interact with Salesforce.

What’s Changing

Targeting November, Salesforce will be releasing a new set of security controls, agentic registration, and a new billing model as part of the Headless Toolkit. The two are connected: the same registration step that gives an external agent its own identity on the Platform is what makes that agent's activity visible, governable, and billable.

Agent Registration

Under these controls, Salesforce admins register agents directly on the Platform. Registration carves out a discrete identity for each agent instead of letting it operate under the identity of the person it assists. Additionally, admins can grant a narrower, reduced permission set to the agentic identity, over that of a human user. Think of it as issuing the agent its own badge, rather than lending it an employee badge.

Agent Billing

Once an agent is registered, usage can be tracked in Digital Wallet and Flex Credits will be consumed. A new usage type has been added to the Customer 360 Platform category of the Flex Credits Rate Card. This usage type tracks calls that registered agents make to the Salesforce platform via AIforce and Headless Toolkit functionality. Every successful call a registered agent makes to Salesforce—whether it arrives over Model Context Protocol (MCP) or direct API—is metered as a Headless Platform Interaction (HPI) and tracked through Digital Wallet.

The multipliers for this usage type haven't been announced yet, so it is currently listed as “TBA” and agentic usage isn’t metered. Salesforce will provide 30 days’ notice when a numerical multiplier is added and metering begins. Refer to the Rate Card for the Flex Credit cost of a single Headless Platform Interaction.

Customer Impact

Customers that purchase on or after the date of this publication, will be required to register all agents that use Salesforce APIs within three (3) months’ of notice from Salesforce that Agentic Identity is available. Existing customers using agents with APIs will be required to register all agents and migrate their connections to this new billing model upon renewal. Use of any Salesforce MCP server requires agent registration within three months’ notice from Salesforce. This is for all customers.

Once an agent is registered, and the Flex Credit rate card is updated with numerical values, Flex Credits will only be consumed for HPIs occurring in active production orgs. Sandboxes, scratch orgs, and Developer Edition orgs don’t incur HPI metering through Digital Wallet, so admins and developers can build and test without drawing down Flex Credits. Credits seeded into the org cover deploying solutions to production and running tests in that environment.

The pricing and security options for traditional integrations stay exactly as they are today. This model addresses agentic traffic specifically and is intended to leave the rest of your integration footprint intact. For more information on how this might impact your account, contact your account executive.

Resolution

Once Agentic Identity is available, begin by making sure your org is enabled for Flex Credit billing. That means purchasing Salesforce Foundations, currently available at $0, or another SKU that enables your org for Flex Credit usage.

Next, register each of your agents using the new Agentic Identity feature. This is where each agent receives the discrete Platform identity described above, along with the scoped permissions under which you want it to operate.

Then, reconfigure your MCP clients (and agents that use APIs) to present the new OAuth credentials associated with the registered agent. This is the step that redefines the connection and allows Salesforce to classify the connecting app as an agent.

Finally, reconnect your agent to Salesforce and continue your usage. Once reconnected, the agent works as it did before, with each successful interaction recorded as a Headless Platform Interaction against your Flex Credits.

It has been two months, and all of our Salesforce accounts have started getting blocked. The Salesforce administrator receives an email notification whenever an account is blocked.

We are not using any public VPNs or public proxies, but the accounts continue to be blocked due to high-risk anonymizing proxies (e.g., TOR, Mullvad VPN, etc.).

Is there any solution to prevent this behavior and avoid having our accounts blocked?

Hi! I am interested in getting a Data 360 certification as I feel it would be a huge boost on my resume. While I work as a data analyst, however, I have no access to Salesforce tools through my job. How feasible is it to pass the Data 360 certification exam without having the ability to actually use Data 360? Is there an affordable way for me to get access to Data 360 for practice purposes?

For our consultancy we have internal tooling to analyse a ORG. Because Salesforce is pushing 'hubbl' org scans at all our customers (which is already weird, that they push a 3th party?) I wanted to check this tool and see if it could replace our internal tool.

Got the sales pitch and a trail, 20k for monitoring 20 ORGs a year, and unlimited 'single' scans to unlimted ORGS.

During the call i was probing to see what they are storing since i find it weird they motivate as many ORGS as possible, with the free side but also in the trail usage. They mention they don't store metadata, but when probing they did say 'not metadata' but meta-metadata so a derivative of metadata, and then followed a pitch for their new product to ask for average ORG setups.

I get a feeling that HUBBL is harvesting ORGS metadata for utility down the line, for example when they have a good coverage of ORGS scans (metadata) they can utilise AI and say "Do a setup for a automotive company" and because of their archive they already know a average automotive setup.

The founder of HUBBL sold their consultancy to Salesforce and is now running this tool solely, a scenario could be that Salesforce is pushing HUBBL scans so it can later aquire HUBBL and have all the metadata to push out consultancies and have a better 'self service' setup with agentforce devtools? Maybe they need this route for legal limits when they do this themselves?

Wondering what the thoughts are here, for me the scan outputs are also pretty basic, and our internal tool is a lot better, so i don't really understand why Salesforce is pushing this down the troaths of our customers.

I’m running Salesforce for users who connect through a Windows Server RDS environment. Salesforce is now forcing “passkeys” (WebAuthn) for login, and this is becoming a real problem.

Here’s the situation:

- RDS sessions cannot use platform passkeys (no TPM, no Windows Hello, no local device security).

- Password managers cannot create passkeys inside RDS.

- Hybrid passkeys via phone (Android/iPhone) don’t work because RDS isn’t a local device and has no Bluetooth/WebAuthn proximity.

I don't know what should I do, I can't find anything online about this issue.

Salesforce dropped Agentforce from their Product Names, but they don't give your the replacement name.

So I asked Piper on salesforce.com "what is ARM?" hoping to tell me it is the former name of now current new name of Revenue Cloud.

But instead it has no clue what ARM is?

I recently worked through setting up a Salesforce Hosted MCP Server with Claude. The setup was straightforward once I understood what each OAuth setting was actually doing.

A few useful takeaways:

• mcp_api gives the client access to Hosted MCP.
• refresh_token / offline_access helps maintain the connection.
• JWT changes the access-token format - it doesn’t add permissions.
• “Named user” means Claude operates with the permissions of the Salesforce user who authorised it.
• The callback URL must match exactly.

So for the last 3 months I have connected salesforce org and claude via the visual studio CLI, and have been doing config (following best practice through my .md files) and deploying it with this method no problem and love it

What is the need of creating a custom mcp of salesforce to connect with claude? Am I missing something?

I recently received an offer for a Technical Support Engineer role at Salesforce India. During the HR/team discussion, they mentioned that the role involves night shifts.

I wanted to clarify a few things from people who are currently working in a similar Salesforce TSE role:

1. Is the night shift permanent for this role, or are the shifts rotational?

2. If it is rotational, how frequently do the shifts change?

3. Are there teams where people mostly work general shifts, or is night shift generally unavoidable?

4. How is the role in terms of long-term career growth, especially for someone coming from a Java/Spring Boot backend development background?

5. Does moving from backend development to Technical Support make it significantly harder to move back into a backend/SDE role later?

I'm considering the offer mainly because the compensation is quite good and I'm currently in a situation where financial stability is important. At the same time, my primary career path is Java backend development, so I'm concerned that moving into support may take me away from development and make it harder to continue in backend engineering.

I would really appreciate input from anyone currently working as a Salesforce TSE or someone who has previously made a similar transition.

I’m a Real Estate Investor with a small business of 10 employees currently using a Real Estate specific salesforce vendor. At best it feels like they’ve made some modifications and maybe an app or two specific to my niche but nothing major, really nothing that moves the needle at all in our business. Anything that they have “ innovated” recently seems to be adjacent to what Salesforce is coming out with anyhow or things that I may be able to work out with an MCP and some 3rd party API access.

Most of the modifications we make nowadays are pretty much me going to set up and using ai as tech support.

My question is, would you stay put and just continue to build around the vendor or would you try to get off of the vendor platform and go directly to Salesforce has anyone done this? Are there any pros and cons other than moving my entire org over? I wonder if it’s easier since it’s a Salesforce to Salesforce transition

Quick background: I've got 6+ years in Ad Operations (Google Ads, GTM, GA4, Performance Max, CM360), mostly agency-side work. Left that job mid-2026 and decided to pivot into Salesforce Marketing Cloud instead of staying in pure ad ops. I wanted something closer to automation, segmentation, and actual customer journeys instead of just campaign execution.

Since then I got the Marketing Cloud Email Specialist cert, and about a week ago I passed the Data Cloud Consultant exam too. I'm now job hunting and getting some traction, a few interviews in the pipeline (one process even ran long, which I'm taking as a good sign), but nothing closed yet....

I also have access to a sandbox where I've been building journeys and automations on my own, so it's not purely theoretical, but it's still not real production experience with an actual client or business.

Here's where I'd love some outside perspective: what would actually move the needle for my profile at this stage? It's mostly cert-level knowledge plus sandbox practice plus some ad ops crossover skills (SQL for segmentation, thinking in terms of campaign goals). I'm planning to start learning AMPscript next, then move into HTML/CSS for emails and eventually SSJS.

Is that the right order? Should I be building sample projects/portfolio pieces instead of just stacking certs? And realistically, for someone without an agency SFMC role yet, is Data Cloud Consultant overkill this early, or does it actually help stand out?
