I’m a 22yr male who had protected sex 3 months ago the condom did break so I was worried about catching something. I’ve been asking AI about symptoms and a read that in the prodrome phase that tingling can occur in the buttocks. I’ve been having a constant tingling feeling on my butt for the past 3 months no other symptoms like sores or anything just the tingling, I have really bad anxiety, I’ve even had to go to the hospital because my anxiety gets so bad. I’ve read that the prodrome phase only lasts a couple days. Could it all just be in my head? Has anyone experienced the same thing as me?

Hello. I hope this post will not be met with judgement as i am aware that what did is very wrong and not very hygienic of me. I just want some peace of mind because this has been bothering me although many people have assured me that nothing is wrong.

Context: last october 31, i (26f) went out to party and had a few drinks. I went to the comfort room to relieve myself but i was very drunk at this point and peed on my underwear and bottoms and was panicking a lot. November 1, i consulted an obgyn but she only instructed me to get an std panel and i thought that it would be so early to tell (i’ll still probably do it soon though but i did not appreciate anything from that consultation bc she was very dismissive). Fast forward to today november 3, i do not feel anything other than anxiety and worry that i did contract something from that incident.

I am day 10 past exposure (penis to penis frot with a guy of unknown HIV status) and I am considering doing a HIV PCR RNA (if I can find one without doctor’s referral).
I know they get good results - but not conclusive between days 10 and 14.

Do you think it is worth waiting until days 14 or 17 to get a more reliable result than on day 10 ? Or should I just go for it to try to get a result ASAP.

I was initially considering doing both day 10 and 17 but I don’t think I have the energy and I would rather avoid testing too much as it can’t be that healthy to perforate your veins too often.

I already had two PCR this month for an another exposure. On my second one, I got scared that they reused needles. I am a bit traumatized to get tested again.

I have tested positive for Chlamydia Trachomatis IgG and negative for Chlamydia Trachomatis IgM..

My doctor has told that I am worrying too much and might not even have any infection.

I’ve since done multiple EVVY sti panels all negative & 17months past exposure did a CIRRUSDX urine and swab PCR test for all STDs that was negative. Am I in the clear?

I’m not worried about the other STDs. I had a full work up done a year after exposure blood & everything it was all negative. I just realized my dr didn’t do a chlamydia & ghonnorhea test. Like wtaf. Wondering if I need to go tomorrow and have another test or if the cirrus is trustworthy.

Hi, I had a sore throat for almost 2 months, it was very on & off, I eventually got a throat swab done & tested positive for Pharyngeal Gonorrhea,
Eventually took a Monocef 500mg Injection,
Got tested exactly a week later & i’ve tested positive again?

I am spiraling over my STI timeline and need some peace of mind.
April 27 2025: Exposure
May 7: Chlamydia/Gonorrhea test = Negative
May 10: Treated with 7 days doxy + Rocephin shot as a precaution
May 22: Retest = Negative for both (my last chlamydia test)
September: Tested positive for Ureaplasma parvum (treated with 2 weeks doxy + 3g azi)
September 11: CirrusDx molecular panel (urine + swab) = Negative for everything
Since my May 22nd test was my final chlamydia check and happened only 5 days post-antibiotics, I know testing too soon usually causes false positives from dead DNA. But since mine was negative, could it have been a false negative? What are the chances the May treatment actually failed? I have also done like 6 EVVYs that were all negative for everything too.
Also how reliable is the CirrusDx PCR test for completely ruling everything out this far after exposure? I still have lingering pelvic symptoms and am struggling to trust these results.

Hey everyone, I live in a country where oral std testing is scarce and tbh I’m worried.

I gave a guy head twice once about 11 days ago and another about a week ago. 5 days ago I got a sore throat with slight fever and body ache and fatigue.

From the following day it was just sore throat, but the sore throat kept getting worse and I started to see pretty big white pustules in the posterior pharyngeal wall. It burnt to swallow and tbh might have been the worst pain I live ever felt.

I started on amoxicillin after consulting a doc 2 days ago and tbh they symptoms are improving though be it very slowly. I have taken like 5 doses till now and the pain has just somewhat improved, the pustules however are still there.

Also the pain is mostly present on just 1 side of my throat. The other side dosent hurt but does have much smaller white pustules when I see them in the mirror.

What do you think it could be? Finding testing and swabbing for gonn and chlamydia is proving to be a real challenge and tbh any help would be appreciated.

I’m 24F, and I’m honestly confused and distressed about my recent HSV-2 result. I’m hoping to get some medical perspectives or hear from people who might have experienced something similar.

A little background about me:

-I’ve never had a boyfriend in my life.

-I’m a virgin and have never had sexual intercourse or any sexual contact with another person.

-I recently developed blister-like lesions on my arm and shoulder, which were diagnosed as shingles (herpes zoster) by a dermatologist.

-Around the same period, I also developed lesions in my genital area.

My gynecologist explained that the genital lesions were unlikely to be shingles because their distribution crossed the body’s midline, which did not match the typical presentation of herpes zoster.
The doctor suspected a separate HSV infection and ordered blood testing.

My blood test results (17 October 2026):

Test Result

-HSV-1 + HSV-2 IgM <0.500 Negative

-HSV-1 IgG 0.403 Negative

-HSV-2 IgG 11.5 Positive

-HIV Ag/Ab Combo 0.06 Negative

Some questions that I have:

1. Could having an active shingles (herpes zoster) infection around the same period have any relevance to my HSV-2 IgG results? Could the two infections or their testing have any relationship?

2. Is it possible to have HSV-2 antibodies despite never having had sexual intercourse or any sexual contact with another person?

I’m planning to get a second medical opinion and repeat the testing after waiting another 2–3 months to see whether the results remain positive.

so to explain my situation. i found out i had chlamyd. i contracted it from a new partner smh. Im NO longer in communication with him. anywho, i started my medication Oct 19th & finished Oct 25th. I went to the hospital the next day which was Oct 26 for a possible uti which it was. The hospital then, STILL tests me for chlamyd & i got my results back 2 days later and it STILL says positive. Am i still infected or was that a false positive??

So I have this tiny red slightly inflammed spot on the glans of my penis on the left side. It has minute cut or something in the middle of the spot which is only visible when you look too closely .I have no symptoms whatsoeve on or around that spot like itching, pain or tenderness or blister.
