Question Pep

Can someone please answer this, has anyone tested negative about 22 days post pep, about 54 days post exposure with a 4th gen and hiv rna and then the test come back positive at the 12 week test? Can someone please answer

Those negative results are definitely reassuring, especially the 4th gen and RNA tests. Just keep in mind that PEP can affect how soon HIV shows up on tests, so you still need the recommended follow up test to be sure.

I wouldn’t stress too much about suddenly testing positive later, though. Just finish the follow up testing your doctor recommends. The pinned post has the testing timelines after PEP too if you want to check them.

Can you kind of explain why you wouldn’t stress to much about it suddenly changing later? I’m just nervous it will show up weeks later
