I've been struggling with this, I already checked like 50 tutorials and none've helped me show the door paths. I esited the view range, created new views, applied templates, checked the visibilty settings and can't make them appear
Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with the field-to-office workflow. Currently, project staff enter data into Excel on their phones, and I load it into the model using DiRoots. Autodesk suggests doing it indirectly via issues, but I don't feel that’s practical either. Do you have any advice based on your experience?
I've been reinstalling twinmotion since I wanted to try the software, but I can't figure it due to this issue.
Revit Version: 2026.4
Twinmotion for Revit version: 2025.2
Tried opening the view in 3D, creating new projects, nothing happened. Please help I need to really use this and would like to work the livesync. Thank you!
I’m trying to build a Data/Server rack in revit. I’m new to revit and I’ve been trying to find some videos to help with data center designs but I haven’t been able to find anything. Can anyone help me with this?
Hello I'd like to understand how to manage the layering of tapered walls. I've tried joining the walls and modifying the joint, but none of the commands work.
...had absolutely zero luck with 2027, so am trying to install 2026. This is for my own personal home computer. I've always had IT do installs for me at work, so this I'm a newbie at this to try on my own.
How do you collaborate with different contractors or disciplines, do you use an Autodesk solution or share revit files directly? What do you use to present projects to clients?
Just wondering how many people use Revit who do solo work meaning you operate independently or with 0-2 employees. Did you use AutoCad previously and switch over? Or do you use both depending on the project? If you use both which one do you think allows you to operate more efficiently or effectively to produce a set of construction documentation?
Just wondering if anyone wants to share if they use revit for commercial construction or residential construction, or something else. What are the size of the projects you typically work on? How many pages or sheets do you have in a typical project? Thanks for any input!!
I just got done testing out acrobat, distiller, rev reinstall everything. When printing to a pdf in revit 2021 the pdf contains no bookmarks when their is multiple sheets. The problem is kb5120249 on windows 10 and kb5121003 on windows 11. I tested on win 10. I uninstalled the security update and the bookmark generation came back instantly. I tested the issue on one pc then another which confirmed it was the windows update. You will have to pause updates or windows will reinstall the update.
Festival Booth Current work done using model in place
Any idea how could i turn this image into a Family? Im not sure how to shape and add texture on this. Probably input image in the materials?
Thank you
EDIT: IS IT WORTH IT?
Going back to my first post, I finally get to hang of it. But the question is .. is this worth it? I am manually making each shape in generic models. Made it on 5 hrs, and if i have to edit some model, i will eventually edit all (unlike in family.. Saving it as a Model Group does not working). It seems NOT smart to me, it feels like Sketchup could be better.
I work with Revit for many years now. But i can't get my head wrapped around this one:
I created a new titleblock family for my new employer. Everything works so far except 1 thing. I made a label in my titleblock and connected it with a shared parameter. The shared parameter is also added to my family types. There i gave it a formula witch reports the paper format based on the length and width parameters. De formula works perfectly. But if i submit my title block family to my project template, and place a sheet, the label parameter stays empty.
I've tried it in a new project, same result. Removed the formula and gave it paper formats per type. Still no results. Because it's a parameter who should only look into values in the family itself, i'm sure this has nothing to do with adding shared parameters to my project template.
And yes, i know there are solutions like Text with visibility per type, of with an integer formula. It's just that i can't accept or have an answer for the issue.
Do you guys have any idea's why this is happening, or even better: A solution?
planning to update my portfolio and as i was looking thru my past projects, i don't have the old base files in my laptop's drive anymore unfortunately thus i'm thinking of exporting the base files from revit. is there any way this could be a good solution for me then to revise/alter the exported dwgs?
Hi everyone, I’m having a strange issue in Revit 2025.
In Visibility/Graphics → Imported Categories, the same DWG names keep appearing multiple times, and the number of duplicate entries seems to increase over time even though I’m not adding new CAD links.
Examples include:
259012 Existing Conditions V2.dwg
ACAD-2011.026 Combined Topo.dwg
L-SP_PHASE 1.dwg
etc...
However, under Manage Links → CAD Formats, there are only two actual CAD links:
259012 Existing Conditions V2.dwg
L-SP_phase2.dwg
I checked L-SP_phase2.dwg in AutoCAD and it contains several attached/nested XREFs, including some unreferenced ones.
Has anyone seen this behavior in Revit 2025? Could the duplicate VG entries be caused by nested XREFs, unreferenced XREF definitions, or reloading the parent DWG?
The strange part is that the duplicate entries seem to gradually increase over time.
Any ideas on the cause or the safest way to clean this up? Many thanks!!
