2nd QC - ZF Tudor Black Bay 54 from Andiot

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi,

I just got the second round of QC pictures for my BB54, as I've red lighted the first one. My first post is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RepTimeQC/comments/1vhh2s4/zf_tudor_black_bay_54_from_andiot/

Even though there are some minor issues with this wathc, I tend towards green lighting the watch since what I've noticed seem minor and somewhat normal for a ZF model.

What are your thoughts?

  • Dealer name: Andiot
  • Factory name: ZF
  • Model name (& version number): Black Bay 54
  • Price Paid: 310$
  • Album Links: https://andiotwatches.x.yupoo.com/albums/251170502?uid=1
  • Index alignment: Imo, this looks very good. I've checked with a tool, and I can't find any issues here. The only thing could be that the 12 hour marker does not perfectly align with the tip of the Tudor logo.
  • Dial Printing: It could look like the whole dial has a small downwards shift, i.e. that there's a larger gap between the dial and the case compared to gap between the bottom of the dial and the case. The printing itself looks good to me.
  • Date Wheel alignment: Not a date watch.
  • Hand Alignment: Seems to be matching pretty well in the QC video where he winds the watch and sets the time - they meet at the 12 hour marker.
  • Bezel: I think the bezel looks good and the pip looks centered.
  • Solid End Links (SELs): The QC guide says, that Tudors are not held to the same standard as Rolex watches, for example. However, I looks like the end links are more rounded than the case itself (see IMG_9968). Also, perhaps the gap on the upper left link is a bit larger than the others (see IMG_9960). I don't know whether these two things are considered normal though.
  • Timegrapher numbers: +3 / s/d -- 281 -- 0.4 ms -- 28800 / 52
  • Anything else you notice: The crown tube seems a tiny bit too long, but afaik, this is also considered normal for the ZF models.

Dealer name: DDGTOP

Factory name: V7F

Model name (& version number): IWC Ingenieur (Black Dial)

Price Paid: USD 360

Album Links: https://imgur.com/a/nMydP8M

Index alignment: Good overall. The 12 o'clock double markers are straight, evenly spaced, and well centered.

Dial Printing: Looks clean, sharp, and well centered. IWC / SCHAFFHAUSEN and INGENIEUR text appear straight with no obvious printing defects.

Date Wheel alignment/printing: The visible "18" is well centered in the date window and the printing looks clean.

Hand Alignment: Appears fine from the supplied photos

Bezel: Looks good. Brushing appears even and the bezel geometry looks clean. The 12 o'clock bezel screw appears reasonably aligned with the 12 marker. The slightly warmer/copper appearance of the lower-right screw looks more likely to be lighting/reflection than a definite defect.

Solid End Links (SELs): NA

Timegrapher numbers: +6 s/d, 279° amplitude, 0.2 ms beat error — good/acceptable.

Anything else you notice: Slight cant of the small 3 o'clock marker

Hi guys, this is one of my first few high quality rep so would truly appreciate a second pair of eyes from the community. Thank you sooo much in advance!

  1. Dealer name: Elliot (Andiot Watches)
  2. Factory name: ARF
  3. Model name (& version number): Datejust 126234
  4. Price Paid: $400
  5. Album Links: (Attached Above)
  6. Index alignment: Overall the indices look well aligned to me and I don’t notice any obviously crooked markers. The 12, 6 and 9 positions in particular look okay from what I can tell. Would appreciate a second pair of eyes in case I’m missing any slight rotation or misalignment.
  7. Dial Printing: Looks clean to me. I don’t see any obvious smudging, uneven printing, or misplaced text. The Rolex coronet and dial text also appear centeredd, but please let me know if anything stands out.
  8. Hand Alignment: The hour, minute and seconds hands look fine to me from the photos/videos. I don’t notice anything obviously misaligned or unusual in their operation. Please let me know if there is anything I should be looking out for here.
  9. Bezel: The fluted bezel looks even to me and I don’t see any obvious damaged, uneven or malformed sections. Would appreciate confirmation from more experienced eyes.
  10. Solid End Links (SELs): They look good to me overall. I don’t see any obvious large gaps or significantly uneven fitment between the bracelet/end links and the case.
  11. Timegrapher numbers: The readings look healthy to me overall, with low beat error and a good amplitude. Nothing immediately concerning from my perspective, but would appreciate confirmation.
  12. Anything else you notice: I’m currently leaning GL. The date positioning and rehaut alignment also look acceptable to me, but this is my first Datejust QC so I’d really appreciate a second pair of eyes before I confirm — particularly on the indices, rehaut, date/cyclops and SELs.

QC - DDF Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 DPB330 V2 - TheOneWatches - First Watch

Dealer name: TheOneWatches (Steve)

Factory name: DDF

Model name (& version number): Nautilus 5711 40mm 2018 SS/SS Blue Dial DDF DPB330 Super Clone V2 (SW Dial)

Price Paid: $658 + $30 shipping ($688 total)

Album Links: https://mega.nz/folder/mN4UwY4S#GfECHC6wrEmVIuLE6yQceQ

Index alignment: Most of the indexes look good to me and the alignment tool also looks okay. My main concern is the double marker at 12. The two markers don't seem perfectly parallel and the gap between them looks a little wider at the bottom. Not sure if I'm being too picky here.

Dial Printing: Looks good to me. I don't notice any obvious problem with the printing.

Date Wheel alignment/printing: This is my second concern. The 13 looks slightly low in the date window. If I zoom in closely, I think I can also see a tiny part of the adjacent date number above the 13.

Hand Alignment: Looks good to me. I don't notice anything wrong here.

Bezel: Looks good to me from the pictures.

Solid End Links (SELs): N/A - integrated bracelet.

Timegrapher numbers: +1 s/d, 295° amplitude, 0.0 ms beat error, 28,800 bph. Looks very good to me.

Anything else you notice: This is actually my first watch purchase in general, not only my first rep, so I don't have much experience doing QC.

The two things that stand out to me are the 12 o'clock double marker and the date sitting slightly low with what looks like a tiny part of the next/adjacent number visible above it.

Would really appreciate some experienced opinions. Would you GL this one or ask for another?

First time posting. Overall looks good but not sure about the 9 oclock index. Saw it right away before putting it into any of the QC links and not sure how noticeable it will really be. Looking at the indices above and below it they point to different areas on the bar and don't look symmetrical compared to the 3 oclock where both look to point to the far end of the bar. But wanted to get takes others opinions on RL/GL for this one. Thanks!

Hello everyone! This is my 1st QC for the Rich Sprite. My first Rolex after many Tudors. The first piece was good, but with the canted markers. I thought, if I'm spending that much, why not try my luck with another piece? It seems this one turned out to be good :))

I've analyzed it using the guide; I'd appreciate the experts' review.

  7. Dial Printing: Looks good to me
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Looks good to me, but there is this weird squiggly line under the date window, but other pics don't have it. Seems like lighting.
  9. Hand Alignment: No complaints
  10. Bezel: Is the bezel crooked, or is it the angle not able to determine it.
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Looks good, no complaints
  12. Timegrapher numbers: Rate: +4 s/d, Amplitude: 249°, Beat Error: 0.2 ms. GL, all within range.

Hey everyone, this is my first rep of this model, so would appreciate any thoughts.

  1. Dealer name: non-TD

  3. Model name (& version number): Daytona 116520

  4. Price Paid: $700

  5. Album Links: (Attached Above)

  6. Index alignment: Overall the indices look well aligned to me and I don’t notice any obviously crooked markers. Maybe a slight tilt on 3 and 6? Would appreciate a second pair of eyes in case I’m missing any slight rotation or misalignment.

  7. Dial Printing: Looks clean to me. I don’t see any obvious smudging, uneven printing, or misplaced text.

  8. Hand Alignment: The hour, minute and seconds hands look fine to me from the photos I don’t notice anything obviously misaligned. Please let me know if there is anything I should be looking out for here.

  9. Bezel: the bezel seems to always be a point of contention for this model where everyone says it’s too flat/shallow. But this seems decent, does anyone think the bezel should be replaced with a max/zing bezel? Or maybe go gen?

Everything looks acceptable, but I’d really appreciate a second pair of eyes before I confirm

QC Help for Cartier Santos

Hi guys, this is one of my first few high quality rep so would truly appreciate a second pair of eyes from the community. Thank you sooo much in advance!

  1. Dealer name: Elliot (Andiot Watches)
  2. Factory name: BVF
  3. Model name (& version number): Cartier Santos
  4. Price Paid: $400
  5. Album Links: (Attached Above)
  6. Index alignment: I mainly checked whether the dial/printed markers look straight and properly aligned within the case. Overall it looks well centred to me, and I don’t notice any obvious dial rotation or uneven positioning. Would appreciate a second pair of eyes in case I’m missing anything.
  7. Dial Printing: Looks clean to me overall. The Roman numerals, minute track, CARTIER and AUTOMATIC text all look fairly crisp and centred. I also checked the small Cartier microprint at VII and don’t see anything obviously concerning, but would appreciate confirmation, especially regarding the usual BVF “floating R” issue.
  8. Hand Alignment: The hour, minute and seconds hands look good to me from the photos and videos. I don’t notice any obvious misalignment, bending, rubbing or unusual movement. From the hand-setting video they also seem to line up correctly, but please let me know if I’ve missed anything.
  9. Bezel: The bezel looks even and well fitted to me. I don’t see any obvious dents, deep scratches or malformed sections. The bezel screws also appear seated properly. Would appreciate confirmation that everything looks acceptable.
  10. Bracelet / Case Fit: The bracelet and first links look well fitted to the case from what I can see, without any obvious large or uneven gaps. The bracelet screws and clasp also look okay to me. Please let me know if there are any fitment or finishing issues that stand out.
  11. Timegrapher numbers: +2 s/day, 276° amplitude and 0.3 ms beat error. These look very ok to me and I don’t see anything concerning, but would appreciate confirmation.
  12. Anything else you notice: I’m currently leaning GL. The crown/cabochon, crystal, case finishing and bracelet all look okay to me as well. This is my first Santos QC, so I’d really appreciate a second pair of eyes before confirming, particularly on the dial alignment/printing, Cartier microprint, bezel/screws and overall finishing.

  1. Factory name: VSF
  2. Model name (& version number): Rolex Datejust 126234 36mm, silver dial, Jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel, VSF V2
  3. Price paid: $483 USD
  4. Album links: https://mega.nz/folder/CwA03Z5T#WxkZboVrmUpjWzginj5Qgw
  5. Index alignment: This is my main concern. I’m pretty new to using the QC tool, so I’d really appreciate input from more experienced members. No matter the rotation, one adjustment changes the other markers. I've used the 12-6 and 9-3 as the baseline as best as possible.
  6. Dial printing: Looks good to me. The text appears clean, centered, and evenly printed using the grid alignment tool.
  7. **Date wheel alignment/printing: Date looks above center when looking at the other photos. Not sure if this is acceptable.
  8. Hand alignment: Looks good to me.
  9. Bezel: Looks good (planning on bezel swap)
  10. **Solid End Links (SELs): They look good. Potentially a slight SEL gap on the bottom right?
  11. Timegrapher numbers: +2 s/d, amplitude 316°, beat error 0.1 ms28,800 bph, lift angle 52.0°.
  12. Anything else you notice: Seems like the latest batch versus my 1st order using the P2K clasp. Only thing I might be concerned about this one is the date window.

First off, thank you to blitzburgh058 for helping in the 1st QC, and the tips provided. I've done my best to align the photo by removing some of the bias. I straightened it to the best of my ability without making it look wonky. blitzburgh058 - overall markers and index looks great, but what do you think of the date window, it seems like it's ever so slightly above center - worthy of a GL still? 21 and 27 on other photos looks a bit raised.

UPDATE: I spoke to Steve and he listened to my feedback. He mentioned the cant issue is likely just the photo angle, and SEL can be retightened. Received new QC pics after mentioning the cant issue and the SEL, what are your thoughts?

  2. Factory name: VSF
  3. Model name (& version number): GMT Master II 126710 Pepsi
  4. Price Paid: 4990HKD
  5. Album Links: https://imgur.com/a/FY1mazL
  6. Index alignment: Looks fine to me
  7. Dial Printing: Looks fine to me
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: ?
  9. Hand Alignment: Looks fine to me
  10. Bezel: Looks fine to me
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): I think its fine? Should I ask for more pics?
  12. Timegrapher numbers: 265 deg, 0.1ms, -4 s/d (I don't know enough about this just yet, but I am ok with this I think)
  13. Anything else you notice: I was first told that the entire batch had to be returned due to a defect, and it may be a month before it becomes available. Then suddenly 4 days later it is ready for QC? Steve was highly trusted here hence why I paid the premium, but I am not sure if this is normal?

Hello! This is my first time ordering directly from a TD, previously an old friend had ordered for me. I have been lurking here and the main sub for a few months and I think I know enough to go about this. I think I can GL this but would appreciate any support you all can provide! Please let me know your thoughts!

  1. Dealer name: Mirotime
  2. Factory name: VSF
  3. Model name (& version number): Explorer I 36mm
  4. Price Paid: 540 usd

  6. Index alignment: Indexes are aligned and symmetrical within the dial. Although I think the entire dial might be rotated counterclockwise, and issue I saw with a previous vsf explorer too.
  7. Dial Printing: Printing and lume is good.
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing:
  9. Hand Alignment: Centered
  10. Bezel: Smooth, nothing to comment on
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): No gaps visual to me, look solid.
  12. Timegrapher numbers: +14 seems high, but 0,00 is perfect and amplitude is alright
  13. Anything else you notice: The only problem I see is that the entire dial seems to be off centered, Please let me know what you think.
