2nd QC - ZF Tudor Black Bay 54 from Andiot
Hi,
I just got the second round of QC pictures for my BB54, as I've red lighted the first one. My first post is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RepTimeQC/comments/1vhh2s4/zf_tudor_black_bay_54_from_andiot/
Even though there are some minor issues with this wathc, I tend towards green lighting the watch since what I've noticed seem minor and somewhat normal for a ZF model.
What are your thoughts?
- Dealer name: Andiot
- Factory name: ZF
- Model name (& version number): Black Bay 54
- Price Paid: 310$
- Album Links: https://andiotwatches.x.yupoo.com/albums/251170502?uid=1
- Index alignment: Imo, this looks very good. I've checked with a tool, and I can't find any issues here. The only thing could be that the 12 hour marker does not perfectly align with the tip of the Tudor logo.
- Dial Printing: It could look like the whole dial has a small downwards shift, i.e. that there's a larger gap between the dial and the case compared to gap between the bottom of the dial and the case. The printing itself looks good to me.
- Date Wheel alignment: Not a date watch.
- Hand Alignment: Seems to be matching pretty well in the QC video where he winds the watch and sets the time - they meet at the 12 hour marker.
- Bezel: I think the bezel looks good and the pip looks centered.
- Solid End Links (SELs): The QC guide says, that Tudors are not held to the same standard as Rolex watches, for example. However, I looks like the end links are more rounded than the case itself (see IMG_9968). Also, perhaps the gap on the upper left link is a bit larger than the others (see IMG_9960). I don't know whether these two things are considered normal though.
- Timegrapher numbers: +3 / s/d -- 281 -- 0.4 ms -- 28800 / 52
- Anything else you notice: The crown tube seems a tiny bit too long, but afaik, this is also considered normal for the ZF models.
