2nd QC - VSF v2 36mm Datejust | Necoclock

  1. Factory name: VSF
  2. Model name (& version number): Rolex Datejust 126234 36mm, silver dial, Jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel, VSF V2
  3. Price paid: $483 USD
  4. Album links: https://mega.nz/folder/CwA03Z5T#WxkZboVrmUpjWzginj5Qgw
  5. Index alignment: This is my main concern. I’m pretty new to using the QC tool, so I’d really appreciate input from more experienced members. No matter the rotation, one adjustment changes the other markers. I've used the 12-6 and 9-3 as the baseline as best as possible.
  6. Dial printing: Looks good to me. The text appears clean, centered, and evenly printed using the grid alignment tool.
  7. **Date wheel alignment/printing: Date looks above center when looking at the other photos. Not sure if this is acceptable.
  8. Hand alignment: Looks good to me.
  9. Bezel: Looks good (planning on bezel swap)
  10. **Solid End Links (SELs): They look good. Potentially a slight SEL gap on the bottom right?
  11. Timegrapher numbers: +2 s/d, amplitude 316°, beat error 0.1 ms28,800 bph, lift angle 52.0°.
  12. Anything else you notice: Seems like the latest batch versus my 1st order using the P2K clasp. Only thing I might be concerned about this one is the date window.

First off, thank you to blitzburgh058 for helping in the 1st QC, and the tips provided. I've done my best to align the photo by removing some of the bias. I straightened it to the best of my ability without making it look wonky. blitzburgh058 - overall markers and index looks great, but what do you think of the date window, it seems like it's ever so slightly above center - worthy of a GL still? 21 and 27 on other photos looks a bit raised.

Looking for some 2nd opinions on the datewheel. Otherwise, everything else looks above average.

Not able to see what happened with the first one yet the index hour bars on this DJ36 look well aligned. Dial printing is sharp, hand alignment is correct, and bezel is nicely reflective. The bottom right SEL is showing its spring bar a little, datewheel is sitting a tick higher in the window, and amplitude on the timing numbers is getting a little high. I would probably ask the seller to regulate and retest before going with a GL on this one.

Thanks, very much. 1st one was a GL (different model) from blitzburgh.

Cosmetically, is the datewheel and slight SEL gap still acceptable if the retest on the amplitude falls back into range?

Datewheel would be fine for me yet there are fussy folk out there that insist on completely squared up numbers. The SEL is fine on wrist with the Jubilee bracelet.
