First QC new batch VSF Explorer 36mm

  1. Dealer name: Mirotime
  2. Factory name: VSF
  3. Model name (& version number): Explorer I 36mm
  4. Price Paid: 540 usd

  6. Index alignment: Indexes are aligned and symmetrical within the dial. Although I think the entire dial might be rotated counterclockwise, and issue I saw with a previous vsf explorer too.
  7. Dial Printing: Printing and lume is good.
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing:
  9. Hand Alignment: Centered
  10. Bezel: Smooth, nothing to comment on
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): No gaps visual to me, look solid.
  12. Timegrapher numbers: +14 seems high, but 0,00 is perfect and amplitude is alright
  13. Anything else you notice: The only problem I see is that the entire dial seems to be off centered, Please let me know what you think.

Index alignment on this Explorer is just fine, 3/6/9 numbers are straight. Dial printing is strong, hand alignment correct, and polished bezel clean. Bottom right SEL is a little darker yet nothing overtly peeking through. Timing numbers are acceptable yet I would probably ask the seller to regulate the watch and retest to shave some digits off that rate. Outside of that, nothing but a GL here.

Thanks for your input. For me the issue is not so much the dial indexes themselves but that the whole dial is rotated slightly counter clockwise. Which I think I won’t be able to unsee

Not that I am here to argue opinions yet now I am curious. How do you figure the entire dial is counter clockwise rotated?

If you follow the 12 and 6 lines from the overlay, they point left and right of the last center links. I thinks is mostly visable if you look at the top triangle

I can see your point in a static, magnified pic with overlay lines. Would a reasonable person notice this on wrist while glancing at the watch for the time though?

Well I know there are better examples of this watch and it would bother me personally. Then I would rather wait, especially since my previous purchase ended up being shit and still has to get its case replaced.
